    • Brenton Doyle homers again in loss to Brewers
Brenton Doyle homered for the third time in his last two games on Tuesday, but it wasn’t enough to power the Rockies past the Brewers at Coors Field.

Advice: Doyle got the Rockies on the board an evened the score at a run apiece with his 374-foot (94.8 mph EV) solo shot off of Dallas Keuchel in the second inning. He also smacked a go-ahead RBI double in the eighth inning that briefly gave the Rockies a 3-2 advantage. The dynamic outfielder finished the night 2-for-3 plus a walk and is now hitting .264/.328/.424 with 10 homers, 32 RBI and 20 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld 57 minutes ago

    • Strikes out eight in win
Gibson (6-3) earned the win against the Pirates on Tuesday, allowing four runs on five hits and one walk with eight strikeouts over five innings.

Advice: Gibson was cruising early, striking out the side in each of the second and fourth innings, but he allowed four runs on two homers in the fifth. He bounced back with his control after walking five batters June 26 but was pulled after a season-low 79 pitches and has surrendered four earned runs in back-to-back outings. On the season, the veteran owns a 3.88 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 85:37 K:BB over 92.2 innings and lines up for a road matchup against the Nationals this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:07 pm

    • Reynaldo López goes just 4 2/3 innings vs. Giants
Reynaldo López allowed two runs over 4 1/3 innings while striking out six in Tuesday’s loss to the Giants.

Advice: López was pulled after 101 pitches, as the veteran righty allowed base runners on the night, with four coming via the walk. López gave up a solo homer to Jorge Soler in the fifth inning and later saw LaMonte Wade Jr. take him deep to tie the game at 2-2 before being pulled after retiring the next batter. López has allowed two earned runs or less in his last six outings but has walked four batters in back-to-back games. He carries a 1.83 ERA into his next start, which is scheduled for Sunday against the Phillies. Rotoworld Today, 7:20 pm

    • Gibson gets a win in an uneven performance
Kyle Gibson allowed four runs on five hits in five innings in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: The veteran had pitched four shutout innings before allowing four runs and two home runs in the fifth inning, which would wind up being his last. Gibson also struck out eight and walked just one on the day. Gibson’s newfound strikeout ability is due to his reliance on his sweeper, which has become his most-used pitch. That offering got eight whiffs on 14 swings today and Gibson posted a 34 percent whiff rate and 37 percent CSW overall. The improved swing and miss in his game is for real, but he’s still vulnerable to giving up hard contact; however, he makes a decent streaming option against the Nationals this weekend. • Jose Altuve back in Tuesday’s lineup vs. Blue Jays
Jose Altuve is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Altuve received a rare day off during Monday’s series opener following a sizzling-hot June where he batted .333 (34-for-102) with four homers and five steals over 25 contests. Rotoworld Today, 1:29 pm

    • Jesse Winker sits on Tuesday against southpaw
Jesse Winker is absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Mets.

Advice: It seems like a matchup-driven decision with lefty Sean Manaea toeing the rubber for New York, but it’s worth noting that Winker has missed a pair of contests since suffering a knee contusion last Friday. He’s probably fine, but it’s something fantasy managers should keep an eye on as the week progresses. Rotoworld Today, 1:21 pm

    • Absent from lineup
Winker is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Winker will dodge a matchup with southpaw Sean Manaea on Tuesday. Harold Ramirez will bat third and DH. Rotowire.com Today, 12:55 pm

    • Brenton Doyle homers twice to lead Rockies
Brenton Doyle homered twice, doubled and walked Monday as the Rockies edged the Brewers 8-7 in 10 innings.

Advice: Doyle’s second homer tied the game in the bottom of the eighth. The center fielder was dropped from second to seventh in the Rockies lineup before the game, presumably because he’d hit .200/.225/.292 in his previous 16 games. The two homers gave him nine or the year, and he also swiped his 20th base. We’re not big believers in Doyle’s offense from an OPS standpoint, but with Coors Field helping him along, he likely will have lasting value in mixed leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:19 pm

    • Monster performance in win
Doyle went 3-for-4 with two homers, a steal, three RBI and three runs scored in Monday's 8-7 win over the Brewers.

Advice: Doyle opened the game's scoring when he blasted a mammoth 445-foot, two-run homer off Bryse Wilson in the second. The Colorado center fielder then cracked a solo shot in the eighth to tie the game at 7-7, giving him his first multi-homer game this season. Doyle also added his 20th stolen base of the season when he nabbed second in the fourth inning. After a rough .203 batting average in his rookie year, the 26-year-old sophomore has become a steady producer in 2024, now hitting .260 with nine homers, 48 runs scored and 30 RBI.
