• Cooling off
Joe went 0-for-3 with a walk Wednesday against the Mets.

Advice: Joe got off to an excellent start to the season, which has helped him earn more playing time than expected while splitting time between right field and first base. He's been in the lineup for six of Pittsburgh's last seven games but has now gone just 4-for-22 in that span. Joe will likely need to turn things around quickly to maintain his playing time against righties, with Edward Olivares being his primary competition for plate appearances. • Stays aggressive on basepaths
Arozarena went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base Wednesday against the Angels.

Advice: Arozarena hasn't had a good start at the plate, as he's hitting just .174 with two home runs across 75 plate appearances. When he has gotten on base, however, he's taken advantage as he's managed four stolen bases without being caught. Arozarena is also striking out at a fairly typical 25.3 percent clip, so there's not a significant reason to panic about his performance yet. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:34 pm
  • Blasts third home run
Carpenter went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Carpenter has been playing well lately, recording a .321 batting average and four extra-base hits across his last 10 games. While he generally sits against southpaws, Carpenter feasts on righties, and that should allow him to remain a solid fantasy asset moving forward. The 26-year-old broke out a bit last year with 20 home runs, 64 RBI and an .811 OPS, and he could surpass all of those numbers in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:41 pm

  • Homers twice Wednesday
Varsho went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBI in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Varsho opened the scoring with a two-run shot off Marcus Stroman in the second inning before extending Toronto's lead to 3-1 with a second homer off left-hander Caleb Ferguson in the seventh. The 27-year-old Varsho has heated up after a slow start to the year, going 8-for-25 (.320) with four homers in his last eight games. Overall, he's slashing .218/.295/.473 through his first 61 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:10 pm
  • Three hits, homer in win
Soto went 3-for-3 with a homer, a double, two total RBI and a pair of walks in Wednesday's 6-4 comeback victory over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Soto got the Yankees on the board with a two-out double in the fifth inning, cutting Toronto's lead to 2-1, before smacking a solo homer off Genesis Cabrera in the eighth for the 500th RBI of his career. The 25-year-old Soto has gotten off to a great start in New York -- he's now batting .352 with a 1.055 OPS, four homers and 17 RBI through his first 90 plate appearances this season. • Clubs pair of homers
Schwarber went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a solo home run during Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Schwarber notched his first multi-HR game of the season -- a feat he accomplished thrice in the 2023 regular season -- with the solo homer coming off Ryan Feltner in the first inning and the two-run shot coming at the expense of Peter Lambert in the sixth. The outing came off the back of three straight games without a hit (0-for-11), pushing Schwarber out of the mini-slump. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:48 pm
  • Big day in Wednesday's start
Taylor went 3-for-4 with a run scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 9-1 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Getting the start in right field and batting seventh, Taylor reeled off his second multi-hit performance of the season while swiping his second base. The 30-year-old has been outstanding so far as the Mets' fourth outfielder, batting .341 (14-for-41) through 15 appearances with a homer, three runs and 10 RBI, and manager Carlos Mendoza hasn't hesitated to give Taylor consistent playing time in the early part of the season. • Kyle Schwarber homers twice in win over Rockies
Kyle Schwarber went 2-for-4 with two homers and three RBI to power the Phillies to a 7-6 win over the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: Schwarber put the Phillies on the board right away with a solo homer off Ryan Feltner to lead off the first inning. He connected once again in the sixth, taking Peter Lambert deep for a two-run shot. The 31-year-old slugger is up to five homers with 13 runs scored and nine RBI while slashing .233/.325/.438 across 83 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:10 pm
  • Tyler O’Neill (concussion) may not return Thursday
Red Sox manager Alex Cora noted Wednesday that Tyler O’Neill (concussion) may not return to the lineup on Thursday.

Advice: The 28-year-old outfielder is doing okay according to Cora, and while he has passed all of his concussion tests, he has yet to do any baseball activities. It’s possible that he could wake up on Thursday feeling great, have a good workout and talk his way into the lineup, but it sounds like he may wind up missing another couple of games. It’s a situation that fantasy managers should continue to monitor. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:03 pm
