• Fires six shutout innings
Peralta allowed four hits and two walks over six scoreless frames in a no-decision Friday. He struck out seven in the win over St. Louis.

Advice: Peralta was in line for his third win of the year before the Cardinals tied the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. The 27-year-old has been terrific to begin the 2024 campaign, registering a 1.90 ERA with a 33:4 K:BB over 23.2 frames. He's forced double-digit whiffs in each of his four starts this season, including 13 on Friday. Peralta is lined up to start in Pittsburgh next week. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago

  • Picks up first save
Milner walked one and struck out two batters in one inning Friday. He earned a save against the Cardinals.

Advice: Milner took the mound with a 2-1 lead in the 10th inning and finished off the contest despite facing a first-and-third threat. It was the 33-year-old's first career MLB save. He's produced a 7:3 K:BB with a 4.15 ERA through 8.2 innings this season,. Milner still appears to be outside the Brewers' main closer committee at this time. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago
  • Blows save, earns win
Payamps (1-1) recorded one out and walked one batter Friday. He earned a win over the Cardinals after blowing a save chance.

Advice: Payamps entered the ninth inning with two runners on in a 1-0 game. After plunking Ivan Herrera to load the bases, he walked Brendan Donovan to let the tying run score. The Brewers would go on to win in the 10th innings, giving Payamps his first win of 2024. He's now sporting a 4.70 ERA with a 6:1 K:BB through 7.2 innings. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago
  • Fans 10 in no-decision
Flaherty allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk over six innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out 10 during the win over Minnesota.

Advice: Flaherty was tagged with a two-run shot in the first inning but turned in four shutout frames after that. The Twins later pushed across two unearned runs in the sixth. Flaherty's produced a terrific 30:3 K:BB through 24.1 innings this season. That 11.1 K/9 is currently a career-high and his first time producing a double-digit number in that category since the 2020 campaign. He also set a new season high with 19 whiffs. Flaherty is currently in line to take the mound in Tampa Bay next week. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago

  • Helsley allows run in 10th to pick up loss
Ryan Helsley allowed an unearned run in the 10th inning to pick up a loss to the Brewers on Friday.

Advice: The run was unearned because it was the extra-inning runner that ended up scoring. Helsley gave up an RBI single to William Contreras that gave Milwaukee a 2-1 lead, and Helsley his second loss of the season. Despite tonight’s disappointing result, the 29-year-old has been a strong fantasy option with seven saves already through the first 19 games. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Hoby Milner works scoreless 10th to pick up save
Hoby Milner fired a scoreless 10th against the Cardinals on Friday to pick up a save.

Advice: Milner was able to pick up the save in the 10th after Trevor Megill and Joel Payamps both were unable to get the job done. The southpaw has his first save of the year, but it’s worth noting that Abner Uribe was unavailable for this contest, so it’s unlikely he picks up many more. Milner can safely be left on the waiver wire. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago
  • Freddy Peralta fans seven over six scoreless
Freddy Peralta struck out seven over six scoreless innings against the Cardinals on Friday in a no-decision.

Advice: Another impressive outing for Peralta. The 27-year-old didn’t have his best control with just 56-of-100 pitches going for strikes, but he also walked just two while scattering four hits. This is the first scoreless affair for the right-hander in 2024, but he has allowed no more than a run in three-of-four starts while improving his K/BB to 33/4 and lowering his ERA to 1.90. That’ll work. Peralta is back on the bump against the Pirates next week. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago

  • Kyle Gibson allows just one run against Brewers
Kyle Gibson allowed just one run over six innings with three strikeouts against the Brewers on Saturday, but didn’t factor into the decision.

Advice: Gibson gave up three hits, but he did walk four with 49-of-89 pitches credited as strikes. Despite the self-inflicted damage, the only run was a William Contreras double in the third inning to score Blake Perkins. Outside of that, Gibson worked around those free passes in his best start of 2024 — at least in terms of run prevention. The 36-year-old is scheduled to face the D-Backs on Wednesday; a team he allowed four runs against in his start Saturday. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago

  • Stumbles against Tigers
Ryan allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk over 5.1 innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out six during the loss to Detroit.

Advice: Ryan coughed up three runs in the first three innings Friday as he produced his worst start of the year. The 27-year-old has given up 10 runs (eight earned) over his last three appearances, driving his ERA up to 3.57 through 22.2 frames. He forced 12 whiffs on 93 pitches, all coming on the fastball and sweeper. Still searching for his first win, Ryan is lined up for a home matchup with the White Sox next week.
