Kyle Gibson allows just one run against Brewers
Kyle Gibson allowed just one run over six innings with three strikeouts against the Brewers on Saturday, but didn’t factor into the decision.
Advice: Gibson gave up three hits, but he did walk four with 49-of-89 pitches credited as strikes. Despite the self-inflicted damage, the only run was a William Contreras double in the third inning to score Blake Perkins. Outside of that, Gibson worked around those free passes in his best start of 2024 — at least in terms of run prevention. The 36-year-old is scheduled to face the D-Backs on Wednesday; a team he allowed four runs against in his start Saturday.
