    • Marco Luciano tallies three hits in rehab contest
Marco Luciano (hamstring) went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Friday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Sacramento.

Advice: Luciano offers a much higher offensive ceiling than veteran defensive specialist Nick Ahmed, but the Giants are clearly prioritizing defense at the highest level at the moment. The 22-year-old top prospect could wind up getting an extended look at some point later in the year, if San Francisco falls out of playoff contention. However, he’s likely to remain in the minors once his rehab stint is over. Rotoworld Today, 3:59 am

    • Ryan Bliss goes 3-for-3 versus Marlins
Ryan Bliss had half of the Mariners’ hits Friday, finishing 3-for-3 with an RBI against the Marlins.

Advice: Bliss’s .238/.319/.381 line through 49 plate appearances isn’t particularly remarkable, but that’s actually an above average OPS+ for a Seattle hitter in 2024. He’s going to have a case for sticking around after Jorge Polanco returns, which could happen this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:56 pm

    • Goes deep in loss
Tovar went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to Washington.

Advice: Tovar was stuck in a small 1-for-18 slump over his previous five games before Friday's strong performance. He put the Rockies on the board with a solo shot in the third inning, giving him 12 homers this year and four in his last 13 contests. Tovar is slashing .285/.312/.487 with 37 extra-base hits and 40 runs scored through 75 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:05 pm

    • Ezequiel Tovar homers, collects three hits in loss
Ezequiel Tovar homered while going 3-for-5 in a loss Friday to the Nationals.

Advice: The Rockies were able to pick up three homers off DJ Herz, and Tovar hit a solo shot off Herz in the third for his 12th homer of the year. The 22-year-old shortstop has put together a very strong first half of 2024 in his second full season with a .280 average, 799 OPS and 36 RBI. There’s massive upside for Tovar, especially when you remember his home park. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:41 pm

    • Idle Friday
McKinstry is not part of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: After starting four of the Tigers' last five games at shortstop, McKinstry will yield to Ryan Kreidler on Friday. McKinstry has two hits in his last 23 at-bats and has struck out nine times during that span. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:36 am

    • Productive night in loss
Moore went 1-for-3 with with a two-run home run, a walk and a stolen base in a loss to the Guardians on Thursday.

Advice: Moore got the Mariners' night started on the right foot with his first-inning 429-foot shot to left field. The round tripper was Moore's second in the last three games, following a 21-game homer drought. Moore has been particularly active on the basepaths of late, recording four steals in his last five contests to push his season total to 13. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:05 am

    • Tyler Fitzgerald serving as 27th man on Thursday
Tyler Fitzgerald will serve as the 27th man for Thursday’s game against the Cardinals at Rickwood Field in Alabama.

Advice: Fitzgerald has gotten into a career-high 27 contests this season for San Francisco and provides the club with a versatile bench option for Thursday’s showdown against the Cardinals at historic Rickwood Field in Alabama. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:37 pm

    • Dylan Moore homers and steals base in loss
Dylan Moore homered and stole a base Thursday in a loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Moore shellacked a Logan Allen pitch in the first inning to give Seattle a 2-0 lead. The steal gives the 31-year-old 13 on the season, and it’s the eighth homer of the season. Moore has scuffled in June with a .512 OPS, but he has homered in two of his last three games, and his power/speed combo will always be intriguing. Rotoworld Thursday, 12:41 pm

    • Absent from lineup
Mateo is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Yankees.

Advice: Mateo had a couple hits and a run scored in Wednesday's extra-inning victory over the Yankees, but he'll nonetheless begin Thursday's festivities on the bench. Jordan Westburg is at second base and Ramon Urias will play third. Rotowire.com Thursday, 11:42 am
