  • Sano doubles in run in loss to Royals
Miguel Sano went 2-for-3 with an RBI double and a walk in Sunday's loss to the Royals.

Advice: Santana's double in the second inning scored Trevor Plouffe and put the Twins out to a 1-0 lead. The two-bagger was his second of the season, as was the RBI. Since being called up on July 2, the 22-year-old has collected a hit in all four games and is 6-for-15. He hit .274/.374/.544 with 15 homers and 48 RBI over 66 games at Double-A prior to ascending to the majors. We've yet to see the home run power come to play, but Sano has not been overwhelmed by the jump over Triple-A thus far. Rotoworld.com

  • Hernandez steals 2 bases, extends hit streak
Cesar Hernandez went 3-for-4 with a walk and two stolen bases as the Phillies won in 10 innings against the Braves on Sunday.

Advice: Hernandez is on a 10-game hitting streak now, with six of those games featuring multiple hits. He singled in the 10th inning to help the Phillies break a scoreless tie. The pair of stolen bases brings him up to 11 in 14 attempts on the season. There's no way his .299/.385/.385 line is sustainable as he has a .556 BABIP since June 22, but he'll get playing time and stolen base opportunities while he's hot so he has fantasy utility for the time being. • Travis knocks in three runs in a Jays win
Devon Travis went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, and three RBI as the Blue Jays topped the Tigers on Sunday.

Advice: Travis doubled in the first of six runs the Jays scored in the fifth inning against Justin Verlander. He added an RBI single in the seventh and a sacrifice fly in the ninth. Travis has hit safely in eight of nine games since returning from the disabled list, including seven games in a row now. In 180 plate appearances this season, he's batting .297/.350/.503 with seven home runs and 31 RBI. Rotoworld.com

  • D.J. LeMahieu goes 3-for-4
D.J. LeMahieu broke out of a slump with a 3-for-4 game Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: LeMahieu hadn't had a multihit game since June 11, even though he's been batting second and usually getting five plate appearances per game. His average, which stood at .351 on June 11, entered tonight at .293, but it's back up to .300 now. He's not a bad option in mixed leagues for as long as he bats second, but he'll probably end up back at the bottom of the order at some point. Rotoworld.com

  • Elvis Andrus goes hitless in fourth straight
Elvis Andrus went hitless in a fourth straight game Saturday, dropping his average to .237.

Advice: Andrus seemed to be heating up last week, but it proved to be a mirage. It'd be one thing if he were still the excellent defensive shortstop he was a couple of years ago, but since he's not, he's a definite problem for the Rangers right now. Rotoworld.com

  • Flores singles three times in loss to Dodgers
Wilmer Flores went 3-for-4 with an RBI single in Saturday's loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Flores knocked in a run with a single in the eighth inning. He's been absolutely sizzling this holiday weekend, with seven hits in his last 11 at-bats and back-to-back three-hit games. His recent hot stretch is not indicative of how he's been hitting all season, as he's slashing .248/.280/.398 with 10 homers and 35 RBI. The power and run-production are swell enough, but the average could use some work. Rotoworld.com

  • Gordon swipes 29th bag in loss to Cubs
Dee Gordon went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and his 29th stolen base of the season in Saturday's loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Gordon scored both of the Marlins' runs in the game. He's touched home plate 43 times this season and is slashing an impressive .344/.364/.423 with 29 steals. He swiped 64 bags for the Dodgers a year ago, a number that he's certainly capable of challenging with his new team. Rotoworld.com

Delino Deshields (hamstring) will be reevaluated after Saturday's workout.

Advice: Deshields recently wrapped up a six-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock and is close to 100 percent. He should be activated from the disabled list in the next day or two. Texas has a crowded outfield now with Josh Hamilton, Leonys Martin and Shin-Soo Choo all seeing regular at-bats. Deshields had 13 steals in 48 games before his injury. Rotoworld.com

While he has 19 home runs and 36 RBI on the year, he's batting just .201 with a .281 on-base percentage. • Wilmer Flores goes 3-for-4 in Mets' win
Wilmer Flores went 3-for-4 with an RBI as the Mets beat the Dodgers 2-1 on Friday.

Advice: Flores singled in the Mets' first run in the fourth and collected an infield single during the ninth-inning rally that decided the game. The three hits match his total from his previous six starts combined. He does have 10 homers this season, but getting on base just hasn't been a strength for him. Rotoworld.com

  • Gyorko's big day propels Padres over Cards
Jedd Gyorko hit a game-tying homer in the seventh inning and a go-ahead RBI single in the ninth to help lead the Padres to a 2-1 win over the Cardinals on Friday.

Advice: Gyorko was just called up on June 30 to help fill in for the injured Cory Spangenberg (knee). He showed his worth on Friday when he homered off of the ever-dominant Michael Wacha in the seventh inning to tie the game at 1-1. He then helped ensure things wouldn't move to extras when he singled home Yangervis Solarte in the ninth inning to put the Padres up 2-1. Gyorko hit .283/.368/.500 with four home runs in 15 games for Triple-A El Paso after being sent down in early June and should see his share of playing time in the near future, though there's little to love on the fantasy front here. Miguel Sano collected his first major league RBI in Friday's loss to the Royals.

Advice: The all-universe prospect singled home Eddie Rosario in the second inning. He later added a double to finish 2-for-4. Sano did strike out twice, but Twin fans should be happy to see that he seems to be fitting in just fine to start his major league career. Carlos Correa went 3-for-6 with a solo home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 12-8, 10-inning win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Correa's homer off Craig Breslow in the eighth inning was the rookie phenom's sixth of the season and his RBI single in the 10th snapped an 8-8 tie. The 20-year-old shortstop has lived up to the hype since his call-up and is currently slashing .300/.320/.570 with six homers and 17 RBI. He's now put up back-to-back three-hit games and is working with a .303/.348/.424 slash-line for the year. • Hernandez to get a chance to stick at 2B?
Phillies interim manager Pete Mackanin said Tuesday that he "would like to think that Cesar (Hernandez) has proven that he deserves a chance to be the everyday second baseman."

Advice: Hernandez, 25, entered Tuesday batting .277/.365/.365 on the season and .328/.394/.406 in June. Chase Utley, meanwhile, is on the disabled list with an ankle injury and sports an ugly .179/.257/.275 line this season. It's hard to believe the Phils would bench Utley even given his struggles, and Mackanin did note that he didn't "want to get ahead of myself." However, if Hernandez keeps performing, it's possible. • Hernandez stays hot with 2 more hits in loss
Cesar Hernandez's bat continued to stay hot as he went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a run, and a stolen base in Monday's loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Fresh off a four-hit performance on Sunday, Hernandez logged his fifth multi-hit performance in seven games on Monday. Hernandez is batting .277/.365/.365 with 25 runs scored, 16 RBI, and seven stolen bases and is now getting regular at-bats while Chase Utley is sidelined. Advice: Flores had been splitting time with Ruben Tejada at shortstop. Now he'll move to second with Murphy taking over at third base. Murphy could even see time at first when Lucas Duda needs a day off. Light-hitting second baseman Dilson Herrera appears to be the odd man out. Rotoworld.com

  • Decision coming on Jonathan Schoop (knee)
The Orioles are expected to make a decision on Jonathan Schoop (knee) on Monday.

Advice: Schoop will either be activated from the disabled list or continue his rehab with Triple-A Norfolk. He's been rehabbing at Double-A Bowie but the Baysox are going on the road and the Orioles would prefer to have Schoop closer to Baltimore. Schoop's 20-day rehab window expires on July 8. The 23-year-old hasn't appeared in the major leagues since April 17. Rotoworld.com

  • Hernandez's four-hit day contributes to a win
Cesar Hernandez singled four times in as many at-bats, helping the Phillies in a win over the Nationals in the back end of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: It's the second four-hit game of Hernandez's career, with the other occuring on September 28, 2013. The Phillies, despite scoring eight runs, only brought him home once, at the end of their four-run second inning. Hernandez has been hitting well as of late, logging multi-hit efforts in three of his last five games. With Chase Utley on the shelf, he should be a regular in the lineup. He's hitting .271/.361/.361 in 163 plate appearances. Rotoworld.com

  • Matt Duffy homers, triples in win
Matt Duffy went 3-for-4 with a homer, a triple, a double and three runs scored Sunday against the Rockies.

Advice: Duffy missed a cycle by a triple on Saturday. Today, he missed it by the single. He's hit .385 with four homers in 10 games against the Rockies this season and .285 with four homers in 54 games against everyone else. It's hard to imagine him remaining useful in mixed leagues now that the Giants are done with the Rockies until September. Still, he just loves defying expectations. Rotoworld.com

  • Correa has two hits, scores twice vs. Yanks
Carlos Correa went 2-for-3 with two runs scored in a win over the Yankees on Sunday.

Advice: Correa twice doubled off Yankees starter Michael Pineda, but the first one was a lazy fly ball that fell between Garrett Jones and Brett Gardner. Gardner proceeded to boot the ball, allowing Correa to round the bases and score. Correa scored another run on an Evan Gattis triple later in the game. The shortstop is as advertised through his first 20 games, hitting .314/.337/.593 with 15 RBI and 13 runs scored. Rotoworld.com

  • Correa has three hits, homer in loss to Yanks
Carlos Correa went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Correa hit one of the Astros' three homers against Masahiro Tanaka on the afternoon. The homer, a two-run shot, was Correa's fifth in 19 games since being promoted. The phenom hasn't looked at all out of place in the majors, hitting .301/.326/.566 with 15 RBI, 11 runs scored and four steals. Rotoworld.com

  • Duffy has three hits, homer in win over Rox
Matt Duffy finished 3-for-4 with a home run and three runs scored as the Giants came back to best the Rockies 7-5 on Saturday.

Advice: Duffy had an RBI groundout in the third inning before smacking a solo homer in the fifth. He also singled and doubled in the win. Duffy now has seven homers and a .294/.342/.458 line and 36 RBI in 63 games. He's been a starter for most of the year and has crept into mixed-league relevancy with his strong hitting in recent months. Rotoworld.com

  • Turner hits 11th home run against Marlins
Justin Turner hit his 11th home run of the season in Saturday's loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Turner took Marlins starter Tom Koehler deep in the first inning to give the Dodgers an early lead. He finished 2-for-4 with a single to go along with the homer. It has been a legitimate breakout year for the 30-year-old, who is hitting .320/.392/.584 with 36 RBI and 30 runs scored in 66 games. Rotoworld.com

  • Dozier hits 15th home run
Brian Dozier went 3-for-4 with a leadoff home run in Friday's loss to the Brewers.

Advice: His leadoff blast against Kyle Lohse gave the Twins an early lead, but the Brewers pounded out six runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back. Dozier is already up to 15 home runs through 71 games, so he has a really good chance to surpass his career-high of 23 from last season. Rotoworld.com

  • Forsythe stays hot against Red Sox
Logan Forsythe was 3-for-5 with a run scored against the Red Sox on Friday.

Advice: Forsythe cooled off significantly earlier this month, but he's hitting .476 (20-for-42) over his last 11 games. With a .298/.378/.453 batting line to go along with eight home runs, 32 RBI, and seven steals, he's been a nice surprise for the Rays and fantasy owners alike. Rotoworld.com

  • Gordon has three hits in loss to Dodgers
Dee Gordon went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in a losing effort against the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Facing his former team, Gordon had half of the Marlins' hits on the night. The 27-year-old speedster has hit safely in nine straight games and currently leads the majors with a .356 batting average. Meanwhile, he's second in the majors with 26 steals. Rotoworld.com

  • Jonathan Schoop (knee) nearing activation
Jonathan Schoop (knee) could be activated from the disabled list on Saturday.

Advice: That's only if Adam Jones (shoulder) has to go on the DL. If Jones doesn't, Schoop is likely to return Monday. Working his way back from a PCL tear in his left knee, Schoop is batting .273/.304/.773 over six rehab games and will play in a seventh game Friday. Rotoworld.com

  • Travis (shoulder) returns from disabled list
Blue Jays activated 2B Devon Travis from the 15-day disabled list.

Advice: Travis wound up missing over a month of action with a left shoulder injury. He'll return to his role as the Jays' starter at second base. Rotoworld.com

  • Jose Altuve goes 3-for-4 in win
Jose Altuve went 3-for-4 with, two doubles, three runs scored and two steals as the Astros' No. 3 hitter on Thursday.

Advice: The Astros liked Carlos Correa's work in the two hole while Jose Altuve missed time last week with a hamstring injury, so Altuve has been hitting third since returning Monday. It doesn't hurt his fantasy value at all. Rotoworld.com

  • DeShields (hammy) to begin rehab stint Sat.
Delino DeShields (hamstring) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Saturday with Triple-A Round Rock.

Advice: DeShields has been sidelined since June 15 with a strained left hamstring. He should be ready to return to the Rangers right around when he's first eligible. Rotoworld.com
