    • Solid after slow start
Rogers (1-7) took the loss Sunday against Texas, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.

Advice: After a three-start hiatus from the loss column, Rogers fell to his seventh loss of the season Sunday -- tied for the third most in baseball. The southpaw yielded four hits and three runs in the first inning before settling in and keeping the Rangers off the scoreboard until a sixth-inning homer by Adolis Garcia. Rogers owns a 5.68 ERA with a 47:27 K:BB across 57.0 innings this season. He's tentatively scheduled for a Saturday start against the Guardians. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:32 pm
    • Productive weekend series
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI on Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: Diaz had a strong weekend series thanks to some timely hits. Across the three games, he went just 3-for-11 but drove in four runs and also worked two free passes. Diaz has gone just 7-for-44 across his last 13 starts, though he's striking out at only a 10.6 percent clip in that span, meaning his numbers should start to tick back up. • Another two-hit day
Vogelbach went 2-for-4 with a two-RBI double during Sunday's 5-4 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Vogelbach generated his second consecutive multi-hit game Sunday and logged his first game of the season driving in more than one batter. Since starting the season 4-for-37 at the dish, Vogelbach is 9-for-20 (.450) with three doubles, a solo homer and five total RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:17 pm
    • Solid in no-decision
Ragans pitched six innings in a no-decision Sunday against San Diego, allowing one earned run on five hits and two walks. He struck out six.

Advice: Ragans was solid yet again Sunday, yielding two earned runs or fewer for the fourth-consecutive start. During that span, the 26-year-old has recorded a robust 1.13 ERA and 32:8 K:BB in 24 innings. The hard-throwing southpaw induced fourteen swinging strikes Sunday and has shown an impressive ability to miss bats this season, posting 10.97 K/9 thanks to a 15.0% swinging strike rate that ranks in the 95th percentile. Ragans will look to do more of the same in his next start, currently scheduled for this weekend against Seattle. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:14 pm
    • Snaps out of slump
Tellez went 3-for-4 with a two-RBI double, and two RBI singles during Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: Tellez hadn't logged an RBI since May 5 and had driven in three batters since April 4. He bested that total Sunday, plating all four of the Pirates' runs and reaching safely in four of his five plate appearances. Prior to Sunday's contest, Tellez had generated four hits in 40 at-bats with one walk. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:11 pm
    • Knocks three hits in loss
Soler went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: This was Soler's first multi-hit effort since May 22, and he went just 4-for-27 over the eight contests in between. The 32-year-old briefly got a look at leadoff in May, but he's since returned to the middle of the Giants' order. He's yet to find a groove for any extended period in 2024, slashing .215/.294/.372 with six home runs, 16 RBI, 22 runs scored and eight doubles over 48 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:04 pm
    • Homers in consecutive games
Schmitt went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: With Marco Luciano (hamstring) landing on the injured list Friday, Schmitt has a chance to make shortstop his own in June. This was Schmitt's second game in a row in the lineup -- he started versus right-hander Cody Poteet on Saturday and stayed in the starting nine versus southpaw Nestor Cortes on Sunday. Through eight games this season, Schmitt has two homers, five RBI and two runs scored over 30 plate appearances. Brett Wisely has also been an option at shortstop lately, and both Schmitt and Wisely offer utility upside if the Giants opt to get creative with their lineup decisions. • Takes loss Sunday
Priester (0-5) took the loss Sunday against Toronto, allowing four runs on eight hits and no walks across 4.2 innings. He struck out three.

Advice: After a roughly two-week stint at Triple-A Indianapolis, Priester was called up to fill Martin Perez's (groin) spot in the Pirates' rotation. While the 24-year-old didn't surrender a homer or a walk, he yielded four runs for a third time this season. Although Perez is set to miss at least two more starts, it's unclear if Priester did enough Sunday to be kept around. If Priester is awarded another start, it would likely come Saturday against the Twins at PNC Park. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:00 pm
    • Collects first hit, RBI in debut
Schneemann went 1-for-3 with a two-run double in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Nationals.

Advice: Schneemann made his major-league debut Sunday, and it didn't take him long to add a couple other milestones. He produced a two-run double in his first at-bat, providing all of the Guardians' run production in the contest. The 27-year-old is likely to take on a utility role -- he started at second base Sunday but likely won't see much time there with Andres Gimenez in a starting role at the keystone. Schneemann's best paths to playing time will likely be right field or shortstop, as Will Brennan and Brayan Rocchio haven't hit particularly well despite seeing large roles this season.
