    • Lacking clear return timeline
Buehler has resumed throwing and appears to be fully recovered from the right hip inflammation that resulted in his placement on the 15-day injured list June 19, but manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that the right-hander is without a clear timeline for a return, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Buehler hasn't been with the Dodgers this week following the team's return from its road trip, as Roberts noted that the right-hander is conducted his throwing program "offsite." More specifically, Ardaya relays that Buehler has been throwing both at the Dodgers' spring facility in Arizona and at a private facility in Florida. While the fact that Buehler isn't being shut down from activity can be taken as a positive sign, he's seemingly unlikely to return from the IL until after the All-Star break. The Dodgers may be keen on giving Buehler an extended break while he had struggled to bounce back from the second Tommy John surgery of his career before landing on the shelf. In his eight starts since being cleared to make his 2024 Dodgers debut in early May, Buehler has posted a 5.84 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB in 37 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 10:55 am

    • Stays hot in win
Moreno went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Moreno singled in his third trip to the plate before then swiping his first bag of the season. He added another single and a two-run double in his next two at-bats, giving the catcher his third multi-hit performance over his last four games. Moreno has also driven in two runs in three of his last four contests (dating back to June 21) and is now riding a three-game hitting streak since returning from the injured list. • Scheduled for follow-up MRI
Friedl (hamstring) is scheduled for a follow-up MRI exam soon, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: If the results of the exam show progress, Friedl will likely be cleared to begin running and more advanced baseball activity. The outfielder said he's playing catch and swinging off a tee. Friedl was eligible to be activated off the 10-day injured list July 4. Rotowire.com Today, 5:56 am

    • Another three-hit performance
Witt went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Thursday's loss to the Rays.

Advice: Witt drove home Kansas City's second run of the game with a sacrifice fly in the third inning before recording a hit in each of his next three trips to the plate, including a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth. It was the star shortstop's third multi-hit performance in his last four games, and he's now tallied at least one RBI in four straight. Witt is 6-for-11 (.545) through three games to start the month of July, and his .319 average on the season puts him at second in the majors behind Steven Kwan (.367). • Keeps rolling for eighth win
Ober (8-4) picked up the win Thursday against Detroit, allowing three runs (one earned) on seven hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: All three runs scored by the Tigers came with two outs in the second inning after strike three to Zach McKinstry got past Ryan Jeffers and allowed McKinstry to reach first and extend the inning. Still, Ober managed to generate a fourth outing with at least eight Ks, all of which have been quality starts. Through 94 innings this year, Ober owns a 4.12 ERA and a 100:23 K:BB. He's tentatively scheduled to face the White Sox in Chicago next time out. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:12 pm

    • Witt Jr. a triple shy of the cycle against Rays
Bobby Witt Jr. went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBI against the Rays on Thursday.

Advice: The home run was Witt Jr.'s 14th of the season. He took Pete Fairbanks deep with a solo shot in the ninth inning. Witt Jr. remains one of the best hitters in fantasy this season. He’s hitting .319 with a .925 OPS and 58 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:53 pm

    • Albies has two-hit game in loss to Giants Thursday
Ozzie Albies went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored against the Giants on Thursday.

Advice: Albies doubled in the first inning off Logan Webb and Jared Kelenic ended up scoring on a throwing error by Mike Yastrzemski. Albies also came around on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Austin Riley. Albies has 24 doubles on the season. He’s hitting .257 with a .712 OPS on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:10 pm

    • Three RBI in win
Crawford went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Crawford ripped a bases-loaded double to put the Mariners ahead in the seventh inning, then scored on a Mitch Garver home run. Prior to Thursday, Crawford had gone 2-for-20 with two walks and a steal over his previous five games. The shortstop is at a .212/.307/.355 slash line with seven home runs, 28 RBI, 34 runs scored and five steals across 64 games this season, mainly serving as the Mariners' leadoff hitter. • Bailey Ober strikes out eight in win over Tigers
Bailey Ober worked six innings and allowed three runs — one earned — in a victory over the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: Ober struck out eight and walked none. He has a 27/3 K/BB ratio in his last three starts and a 100/23 K/BB ratio in 94 innings for the year. The 4.12 ERA still isn’t great, but everything else is exactly what one would expect from him. He’ll face the White Sox next. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:31 pm
