    • Handed first loss
Singer (2-1) allowed five runs on five hits and three walks over six innings Monday, striking out five and taking a loss against Toronto.

Advice: After giving up just four runs through his first four starts, Singer stumbled Monday and found himself in the loss column for the first time. He allowed a three-run double to Bo Bichette in the third inning and a two-run shot to Daulton Varsho in the sixth. After fanning 10 batters in his season debut, Singer has produced a lackluster 18:9 K:BB over his last 22.1 frames. Still, he'll carry a 2.76 ERA into his next start, which is projected to be in Detroit this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:50 pm
    • Produces quality start
Kikuchi (2-1) yielded two runs on five hits over six innings Monday, striking out four and earning a win over the Royals.

Advice: Kikuchi cruised through five shutout frames before serving up a two-run shot to Maikel Garcia in the sixth inning. Kikuchi has now turned in three straight quality starts and has not allowed more than three runs in any outing this season. After a career year in 2023, the veteran southpaw has registered a terrific 2.28 ERA and 33:8 K:BB through five starts in 2024. Kikuchi is in line for a tough home matchup with the Dodgers this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:39 pm
    • Secures third save
Bednar picked up the save Monday against the Brewers. He pitched one shutout inning, allowing one hit and no walks with one strikeout.

Advice: Bednar appeared to be back to his All-Star form Monday night, locking down his third save without issue. The one hit he allowed came via an infield single from the speedy Jackson Chourio. Despite sporting an unsightly 10.13 ERA, Bednar is firmly cemented as the Pittsburgh closer. • Yusei Kikuchi limits Royals to two runs in victory
Yusei Kikuchi was charged with two runs over six innings on Monday in a win over the Royals.

Advice: Kikuchi carried a shutout into the sixth inning before coughing up a two-run shot to Royals leadoff man Maikel Garcia, which accounted for the only damage against him in this one. He piled up four strikeouts and didn’t hand out a free pass in this one. The 32-year-old southpaw is putting together one of the best stretches of his career, allowing two earned runs or fewer in each of his last four starts, while also completing six frames in three of those outings. He’ll carry a pristine 2.28 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 33/8 K/BB ratio across 27 2/3 innings (five starts) into a challenging home outing on Saturday against the Dodgers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm
    • Brady Singer gives up five runs Monday in loss
Brady Singer surrendered five runs over six innings on Monday in a loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: Singer gave up just five hits, but a three-run triple by Bo Bichette and a two-run homer from Daulton Varsho were enough to saddle him with a loss in this one. He struck out five and also walked three batters. The 27-year-old righty had allowed two earned runs or fewer in each of his previous four starts to open the season. He’ll bring a solid 2.76 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 28/10 K/BB ratio across 29 1/3 innings (five starts) into a road tilt on Saturday against the Tigers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm
    • Nabs steal No. 10
Thomas went 0-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Astros.

Advice: The 28-year-old outfielder has stolen bags in back-to-back games and has gone 4-for-4 on steal attempts over the last seven contests, but that's been his only consistent source of fantasy value. Thomas is slashing a rough .179/.247/.250 through 93 plate appearances with two homers, 10 steals, six runs and 10 RBI as he struggles to reproduce his breakout 2023 campaign. • Homers in Sunday's win
Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two RBI in Sunday's win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Bogaerts took Chris Bassitt deep in the third for his second home run of the year and later worked a bases-loaded walk in the ninth to give the Padres some insurance. Sunday was Bogaerts' first multi-hit effort since April 3, and he's knocked in runs in back-to-back games for the first time since the opening series in Japan. It's been a slow start for the 31-year-old, as he's now slashing .204/.275/.290 with 10 RBI, 15 runs and a 9:18 BB:K in 102 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:30 am

    • Productive in Game 2
Diaz went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Mariners.

Advice: Diaz delivered Colorado's only offense with a two-RBI double in the opening frame. That continued a hot start to the campaign, as he has at least one hit in 11 of his last 13 games while also racking up nine RBI and five runs scored in that span. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:26 pm

    • Elias Díaz drives in two runs in loss to Mariners
Elias Díaz went 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBI on Sunday night as the Rockies fell to the Mariners in the nightcap of their doubleheader.

Advice: The 33-year-old backstop got the Rockies off to a fast start in this one, smacking a two-run double off of Emerson Hancock in the home half of the first inning. That would wind up being the extent of their offense in the ballgame. For the season, Díaz is now hitting a healthy .318/.361/.394 with a homer and eight RBI. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:50 pm
