    Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters Tuesday that Corey Seager remains day-to-day with a left hand contusion.

    Advice: Bochy added that Seager is doing better after being hit by a pitch during Saturday’s game and was able to progress to swinging a bat again. Although he’s not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Padres it certainly sounds like he has a shot at getting back into game action at some point in the coming days.     Trejo signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on Tuesday and was assigned to Triple-A Oklahoma City, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

It would be an understatement to say that his time in Detroit has been a colossal disappointment since signing a six-year, $140 million deal as a free agent back in 2022. The 26-year-old has been forced to split time with fellow youngster Enmanuel Valdez at the keystone over the last few weeks, which probably works well for the Red Sox, but is a thorn in the side for fantasy managers. It’ll be difficult for him to find everyday playing time unless injuries strike Boston’s outfield, which would lead to Ceddanne Rafaela moving from shortstop to center field.
