      Advice: Christopher Morel's fielding error in the fourth inning was costly, as the White Sox rallied against Imanaga. The southpaw ultimately exited in the fifth after just 69 pitches (48 strikes), and the Cubs rallied to get him off the hook. After a historically strong first nine major-league starts, Imanaga has been tagged for 12 runs (eight earned) over 8.2 innings in his last two appearances. He's now at a 1.88 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 65:10 K:BB over 62.1 innings. His control remains sharp, so it's likely this recent poor stretch is just a bit of regression that he'll have to work through.       Shota Imanaga allowed one earned run in 4 1/3 innings while striking out six in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

      Advice: Imanaga, who didn’t earn a decision in this one, allowed just two base runners through his first three innings but ran into trouble in the fourth after back-to-back singles by Andrew Vaughn and Luis Robert Jr. kickstarted what turned into a five-run inning for the White Sox. Imanaga was charged with just one earned run on the night, but the White Sox did their part to get to him early. A double by Korey Lee would put the White Sox up 3-0, but Lenyn Sosa’s two-run homer just a few batters later quickly pushed that lead to 5-0.     • Abbott strikes out six in gets fourth win Monday
      Andrew Abbott allowed three runs in six innings and picked up the win in the Reds’ 13-3 victory over the Rockies on Monday.

      Advice: The win was Abbott’s fourth of the season. He gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out six. Abbott now has a quality start in three of his last four starts and a win in three of his last five starts. His ERA is now 3.39 on the season, but his xFIP is significantly higher at 4.53. Abbott has a pedestrian 18 percent strikeout percentage and has benefited from an 84 percent left on base percentage that’s likely to catch up to him at some point.       Abbott (4-5) allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings Monday, striking out six and earning a win over Colorado.

      Advice: Abbott was charged with three runs through three frames but settled in to produce his fifth quality start of the year. Three of those quality starts have come over his last four appearances, and he matched his season best by generating 13 whiffs Monday. He had struck out just 11 batters over his previous four outings but improved his season K:BB to 52:18 with Monday's strong performance.       Advice: Pressly allowed a leadoff walk, which ultimately became the game-winning run for the Twins. Those two dingers sandwiched a second inning run-scoring double by Alex Kirilloff to represent the three tallies against Brown. The sixth-inning homer eliminated Brown's chance to pick up his second win, though he did collect his third straight quality start. While Brown's season ERA remains poor at 6.18, he's been much better over his last five starts, accumulating a 3.53 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 31 strikeouts over 28 innings.       Hunter Brown wasn’t involved in the decision Sunday after allowing three runs in six innings versus the Twins.

      Advice: Brown struck out seven and walked just one, so that’s good. Unfortunately, he gave up two homers, bringing his season total to 11 surrendered in 55 1/3 innings.       Advice: Bibee dominated in six shutout frames before Washington finally pushed home a run in the seventh. He's turned in three straight quality starts, dropping his season ERA from 4.34 to 3.74 during that span. The 25-year-old righty has allowed two or fewer runs in seven of his first 12 starts.
