    • Corbin Carroll hits first homer in two months
Corbin Carroll took the Padres’ Dylan Cease deep Sunday for his first homer since May 7.

Advice: Carroll hit the ball 397 feet, his second-farthest shot this year. It’s the first time since that May 7 homer that he’d hit one over 370 feet. Carroll has just one 400-foot blast this season, compared to 21 last year. We still wouldn’t say there’s a whole lot to be encouraged about here. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago
    • Stays hot Sunday
Seager went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's 13-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: Seager's hitting streak is up to 12 games, a span in which he's gone 17-for-46 (.370) with eight extra-base hits, eight RBI and eight runs scored. The shortstop's fourth-inning homer turned this game into a romp for the Rangers. Seager is slashing .271/.352/.473 with 16 long balls, 43 RBI, 40 runs scored and one stolen base through 77 contests overall. Rotowire.com 53 minutes ago

    • Seager homers, drives in three against the Rays
Corey Seager went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a home run, and three RBI in a 13-2 win over the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: All of that talk about Seager’s early-season struggles, but the 30-year-old is now hitting .271/.352/.473 with 16 home runs and 43 RBI heading into the final week before the All-Star break. With Wyatt Langford surging and both Marcus Semien and Adolis Garcia likely to figure out their current slumps, this Rangers offense could get hot in the second half, and Seager will be right in the middle of it. • Picks up seventh win
Lopez (7-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing no runs on two hits and three walks over six innings against the Phillies. He struck out six.

Advice: Lopez dominated once again with his sixth start of the season with five or more innings and zero runs allowed, tying him with Tarik Skubal for the most such appearances in MLB. Lopez lowered his ERA to an MLB-leading 1.71 in the process. It's tied for the fifth-lowest by an Atlanta player in his first 16 starts of a season since 1912 and the lowest since Tom Glavine in 2002. The 30-year-old is already up to 89.2 innings this season, which is his most since 2019, so his workload will be something to monitor in the second half of the season. Rotowire.com Today, 1:19 pm
    • Reynaldo LĂłpez shuts down Phillies, drops ERA to 1.71
Reynaldo LĂłpez twirled six shutout innings on Sunday in a 6-0 win over the Phillies. He struck out six batters and walked three en route to the win.

Advice: All López does is keep runs off the board. This was the sixth start this season where he didn’t allow an earned run and he hasn’t allowed more than three in any outing. His fastball filled up the zone and his slider put the Phillies’ hitters away. He is a lock for the All-Star team and it’s a bit shocking the White Sox kept him in the bullpen for as long as they did. Rotoworld Today, 1:18 pm
    • Not starting Sunday
Gurriel is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Gurriel will hit the bench after making 12 straight starts, and he posted a .320/.333/.600 slash line with seven extra-base hits and 11 RBI during that span. Jake McCarthy will receive a start in left field Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:09 pm
    • Jeimer Candelario drives in run with a double
Jeimer Candelario went 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and a run batted in on Sunday against the Tigers.

Advice: The Reds were hopeless for most of this game against Tarik Skubal and Candelario accounted for one of their three hits off him and the only run batted in. Candelario has managed to keep himself above water with 14 homers and a .749 OPS in what was meant to be a very crowded infield mix for the Reds. Rotoworld Today, 1:08 pm

    • Remaining on bench Sunday
Marte (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Marte was removed from Friday's contest due to lower-back tightness and will sit Sunday for the second consecutive game. The 30-year-old was reportedly available off the bench Saturday but didn't see the field, so he'll presumably be available again Sunday. Kevin Newman is manning the keystone in place of Marte. • Ketel Marte (back) out again Sunday vs. Padres
Ketel Marte (back) is not in the lineup Sunday against the Padres.

Advice: Marte was removed from Friday’s lineup with tightness in his back and he wasn’t able to play Saturday, either. The 30-year-old will miss at least one more game with Kevin Newman hitting ninth and playing second base. Rotoworld Today, 11:38 am
