      Skubal (10-3) allowed one run on three hits over seven innings to earn the win Sunday against the Reds. He struck out 13.

      Advice: Skubal was dominant once again Sunday as he recorded a new season high in strikeouts and allowed one run or fewer for the 10th time in 18 starts. The lefty now has a stellar 2.37 ERA and 132 strikeouts across 110 innings this year, which earned him his first All-Star selection on Sunday as well. Skubal has been an excellent fantasy asset, and he's set up to make one more start before the All-Star break, likely on Friday against the Dodgers.       Advice: The 27-year-old southpaw racked up a career-best 13 strikeouts in a victory over the Reds on Sunday afternoon, then got the news that he would be heading to the All-Star Game. He’s certainly deserving, having posted a 10-3 record, 2.37 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and a 132/20 K/BB ratio over 110 innings in his first 18 starts.       After being dropped to the eighth spot in the order, Maikel Garcia went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and a walk against the Rockies on Sunday.

      Advice: Garcia’s last stint of being dropped from the leadoff spot lasted two games, so we’ll see if this one is any longer. He’s been quite a disappointment for the Royals this season, though not really for fantasy purposes with his 21 steals, 52 runs scored and 40 RBI. It’s big for his fantasy value that he lead off, though, and since the Royals aren’t moving Bobby Witt Jr. or Vinnie Pasquantino up to that spot, Garcia probably remains the team’s best option.       Tarik Skubal dazzled across seven innings with 13 strikeouts in the Tigers’ 5-1 win over the Reds on Sunday.

      Advice: Skubal seems to keep getting better. He forced a season-best 23 swings-and-misses en route to his season-best 13 punch outs and the Reds’ batters were clueless for most of this game. They had a mini rally in the seventh inning, but Skubal navigated through it and maintained the lead. It’s almost an impossible task for opposing hitters to be ready for 99 MPH heat, a quality sinker, an outrageously good changeup, a 92 MPH slider, and a devastating knuckle curve that comes out for special occasions.       Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Sunday that Harper (hamstring) is "in play" to be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: While Thomson confirmed that Kyle Schwarber (groin) will be back with the big club Tuesday, the skipper was less certain that Harper will be ready to go for the start of the three-game series with the NL West leaders. On a positive note, Harper ran on the field for a second straight day Sunday, with Zolecki relaying that the first baseman appeared to be moving at close to 100 percent intensity. Harper has been on the IL since June 28 with a left hamstring strain, with his absence opening up regular playing time at first base for Kody Clemens against right-handed pitching.
