    • Fans seven in win
Peralta (4-3) allowed three runs on four hits and a walk over five innings Sunday, striking out seven and earning a win over the White Sox.

Advice: Peralta coughed up two runs in the first inning before Paul DeJong knocked a solo shot in the fourth. It was Peralta's first win since April 30 after he went 0-3 with a 4.08 ERA in five May starts. He racked up 21 swinging strikes, matching the season high that he set in his last appearance. He's registered an impressive 39:6 K:BB over his last five starts, improving his season mark to 89:21. Peralta will carry a 3.74 ERA into his next matchup, which is projected to be in Detroit. • Picks up 17th save
Holmes threw a scoreless inning to earn a save against the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Holmes quickly finished off the 7-5 win Sunday, needing just 12 pitches to retire San Francisco's 2-3-4 hitters in order. He began the year without allowing an earned run through 20 innings before coughing up four in a brutal outing against Seattle on May 20. Since then, he's turned in 5.2 scoreless frames to push his ERA back down to 1.37. Holmes owns a 27:8 K:BB and has converted 17 of 20 save chances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:05 pm

    • Tigers will option Spencer Torkelson to Triple-A
Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Tigers plan to option slumping first baseman Spencer Torkelson to Triple-A Toledo.

Advice: Torkelson, the top overall selection from the 2020 draft, has slashed a miserable .201/.266/.330 through his first 230 plate appearances with only four homers, 18 RBI and a 56/16 K/BB ratio. He has been especially bad as of late, mired in a 3-for-33 (.091) funk with a 13/3 K/BB ratio over his last nine games. Justyn-Henry Malloy will be promoted from Triple-A Toledo to take Torkelson’s spot on the Tigers’ active roster. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:40 pm
    • Clay Holmes slams door on Giants on Sunday
Clay Holmes slammed the door on the Giants in the ninth inning on Sunday, protecting a two-run lead to earn his 17th save of the season.

Advice: The Yankees rallied for four runs off of Giants’ closer Camilo Doval in the top half of the ninth inning to take the lead and Holmes did his job to make sure that it stood up. He needed just 12 pitches (eight strikes) to retire Brett Wisely, Wilmer Flores and Matt Chapman in order to end it. The 31-year-old hurler has been spectacular this season, compiling a 1.37 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 27/8 K/BB ratio across 26 1/3 innings while nabbing 17 saves and a victory. • Heading to Triple-A
The Tigers are expected to option Torkelson to Triple-A Toledo on Monday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: Torkelson was held out of the lineup for two of the Tigers' last three games after struggling to a .201/.266/.330 slash line with four home runs, 18 RBI and 24 runs scored over 229 plate appearances in 54 games this season. The first baseman will look to hit the reset button with Toledo before potentially returning to Detroit's major-league roster down the road. In the meantime, Justyn-Henry Malloy is set to be called up from Triple-A to replace Torkelson on the 26-man active roster. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:21 pm
    • Fernando Tatis Jr. drives in one in loss
Fernando Tatis Jr. went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in a loss to the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Tatis Jr. gave the Padres a 2-1 lead in the eighth inning with a run-scoring single that should have been enough to close this one out. It was his 31st RBI of the season and while the 25-year-old hasn’t truly exploded at any point this year, he could easily finish the season with 30 home runs and 20 steals, which is impressive work. If he can keep his batting average around .270, he should still put up fringe first-round value even though he hasn’t stood out as an elite fantasy player at any stretch this season. • Bat remains hot
Bregman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Twins.

Advice: Bregman is starting to heat up, collecting his fourth homer in six games along with adding his fifth multi-hit effort over the last eight. Sunday's performance lifted Bregman's slash line to .229/.287/.395 while during this recent eight-game run he's batting 12-for-32 (.375) with four homers, seven RBI and five runs scored. • Freddy Peralta inconsistent in win over White Sox
Freddy Peralta allowed three runs on four hits in five innings in a win over the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Peralta was far more good than bad, striking out seven and walking one while allowing an 88.3 mph average exit velocity. He induced 21 whiffs on 56 swings for a 38 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW. However, he allowed three hits and a walk in the first inning and then a home run later to Paul DeJong to put a damper on his day. The right-hander now sports a 3.74 ERA but remains a must-start in fantasy baseball, especially next week against the Tigers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:52 pm
    • Out of lineup Sunday
Torkelson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: After recording zero hits in his last 16 at-bats, Torkelson will hit the bench for the second time in the past three games as Detroit wraps up its series against Boston. Gio Urshela will take over for Torkelson at first base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:11 am
