    • Effective across 3.1 innings
Dubin threw 3.1 scoreless innings, walking three and striking out two in Sunday's win over the Mets.

Advice: Dubin started a bullpen game for the Astros and turned in his longest outing of the season. Though he didn't generate many strikeouts, he was able to keep the Mets off balance with 12 called strikes on only 55 total pitches. Dubin entered the appearance having given up four earned runs across his last 4.1 innings (three appearances), and he recorded his first scoreless effort since June 12. • Throws bullpen session
Paddack (right forearm fatigue) threw a bullpen session Sunday, the Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Advice: Paddack said his arm grew fatigued in the past few weeks, which isn't uncommon for a pitcher in his first full season back from Tommy John surgery. He hopes to return just after the All-Star break, so this bullpen session could be a sign he may not be out too long. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:58 pm

    • Picks up win Sunday
Bivens (2-1) allowed a run on four hits over five innings Sunday, striking out three and earning a win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Bivens rolled through four shutout frames before coughing up a solo shot to Chris Taylor in the fifth inning. Bivens was originally slated to be the opener but ended up delivering the longest outing of his young MLB career by throwing 41 of 60 pitches for strikes. He's allowed one run over his last nine innings, lowering his season ERA to 2.57 alongside a 14:4 K:BB through 14 frames. Bivens will likely move back to the bullpen but could be used as a starter again in the near future. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:47 pm
    • Reaches 30-save milestone
Helsley struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save over Cincinnati on Sunday.

Advice: Helsley efficiently rolled through the Reds' 2-3-4 hitters with just 10 pitches. He extended his MLB save lead and became the first pitcher in the 2024 season to reach 30 saves. He's converted those 30 saves consecutively after blowing his first opportunity of the year March 30. Helsley is sporting a 2.61 ERA with a 46:16 K:BB through 38 innings. • Implodes again Sunday
Miller allowed five runs on three hits and a walk while retiring just two batters in relief during Sunday's 7-6 win over the Angels.

Advice: Miller came on in the bottom of the ninth inning with the Tigers up 7-1 but he nearly blew the comfortable lead. The righty hit a batter and gave up a walk before allowing a three-run bomb to Zach Neto. A few batters later, Miller served up a two-run shot to Jo Adell before getting the hook with two outs. Over his last two outings, the veteran reliever has allowed eight earned runs in just 1.2 innings, which has pushed his ERA up to an unsightly 6.23. Miller started the season strong, but he's run into a rough patch and is hard to trust at this point. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:32 pm
    • Tosses two scoreless innings Sunday
Smyly tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Sunday's 7-1 loss to the Brewers. He allowed a hit and a walk while striking out one.

Advice: Chicago starter Kyle Hendricks struggled, allowing seven runs over 3.2 innings, which forced the Cubs to get some long-relief work from Smyly. The veteran had allowed runs in his last two appearances, but he was better Sunday as he lowered his season ERA to 3.54. Hendricks now has a 7.48 ERA, and the Cubs may be forced to remove him from the rotation at some point if he can't turn things around. Smyly, who started 23 games for the team last season, could be an option to slide into that role, though he was ineffective as a starter in 2023 and would be hard to trust from a fantasy perspective. • Andrew Heaney fans 10 in defeating Orioles
Andrew Heaney pitched seven innings of two-run ball and struck out 10 Sunday in a win over the Orioles.

Advice: Itā€™s just Heaneyā€™s second win versus nine losses in 16 starts (he does have one more win from his lone relief appearance). We wouldnā€™t trust Heaney to finish the year in the rotation of a Rangers team thatā€™s still hoping to get Tyler Mahle, Cody Bradford and Jacob deGrom back from the injured list, but he has a solid enough 4.06 ERA at the moment, and heā€™s a decent play with a home start against the Rays up next. • Cole Irvin tagged for five runs by Rangers
Cole Irvin lasted just 3 2/3 innings and gave up five runs in a loss to the Rangers on Sunday.

Advice: Irvin seemed safe from being threatened by Dean Kramerā€™s return, but with three poor outings in a row taking his ERA from 3.03 to 4.17, a demotion to the pen is realistic. Albert SuĆ”rez and Cade Povich are the other two candidates to be bumped from the rotation. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm

    • Strikes out two in scoreless inning
Kopech struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Sunday against the Rockies.

Advice: Kopech made his third appearance in four days after recording back-to-back saves June 27 and June 28. The right-hander delivered Sunday, retiring the side in order while striking out two batters on just eight pitches. The 28-year-old now owns a 2.25 ERA with two saves over his past eight innings, solidifying himself as the White Sox's closer. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:37 pm
