    • Don Kelly belted a two-run homer on Friday, providing more than enough support for Anibal Sanchez and helping to lead the Tigers to a 6-0 victory over the Twins.
Advice: The third inning blast off Samuel Deduno was his only hit in four trips to the plate on the night. Through his first 66 at-bats on the season, he's hitting a paltry .197/.274/.348 with a pair of homers and six RBI. He shouldn't be owned anywhere but the very deepest of AL-only leagues.

Advice: Tepesch had to be scratched from his last start due to a blister on his right middle finger, but he's fine now. The right-hander holds a 3.98 ERA and 1.33 WHIP over eight starts this season and isn't a bad streaming option for Sunday.

Advice: Oliver has been dealing with the ailment for 7-10 and hadn't appeared in a game in nearly a week. He shouldn't be out long, but the Jays have decided to play things safe. Toronto still has two lefties in the bullpen in Aaron Loup and Brett Cecil.

Advice: It was his fourth home run of the season and his first since April 26. The 29-year-old hasn't been as active on the basepaths as usual, as he only has nine stolen bases in 47 games, but he's currently on pace to reach new career-highs in home runs and RBI.

Advice: They'll announce their decision later Friday evening. • Jed Lowrie went 0-for-3 with a sacrifice-fly RBI in Saturday's victory against Kansas City.
Advice: Lowrie pounded the ball in April, batting .333 with a .938 OPS and 15 RBI in 102 plate appearances. The 29-year-old suffered a strained neck at the end of the month and hasn't been the same since, batting .232/.328/.286 with no homers, four RBI and one run scored over 56 May plate appearances. It's possible that the oft-injured infielder is trying to play through a malady that would be better treated by rest.

    • Jeff Francis (groin) threw a 25-pitch bullpen session on Friday.
Advice: He'll now progress to an outing in extended spring training before he's re-evaulated. Even when he is cleared to return, his rotation spot may not be secure after posting a 6.00 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 31/14 K/BB ratio through his first eight starts. Advice: It was his first multi-hit game of May. Despite an anemic batting average (.212), The Hammer is getting on base (.368) at a percentage better than his career mark (.362). • Nationals prospect infielder Anthony Rendon is out of the lineup for Double-A Harrisburg after having his wisdom teeth removed.
Advice: He should be good to go in the next day or two. Rendon is hitting .359 (23-for-64) with four homers and a 1.201 OPS since his demotion earlier this month and could be an option with the big club again if Danny Espinosa's wrist injury lingers.

    • Nationals prospect Anthony Rendon started at second base Monday night for Double-A Harrisburg.
Advice: It's interesting given Danny Espinosa's struggles, but Nationals manager Davey Johnson doesn't think Rendon is ready to play second base at the major league level yet. "We like him - we like him a lot," said Johnson. "But putting him at second at the major-league level, he's not there yet. He's not (playing second) specifically. He's just occasionally going over there." Rendon is hitting .390 (23-for-59) with four home runs and 16 RBI since his demotion earlier this month. • Miguel Cabrera continued to torment major league pitching Thursday, going 2-for-3 with another homer in a comeback win against the Twins.
Advice: He also walked twice. Now on a four-game home run streak, Cabrera is 9-for-15 (.600) with five walks, a double, six homers, 13 RBI and nine runs during that stretch. He's first in the AL in batting average (.391), second in homers (14), and first in RBI (55), runs (39), slugging percentage (.701) and OPS (1.168). He's only eighth in walks (25) at the moment, but he'll be gifted plenty more of those as teams realize it's an awful idea to throw Cabrera a hittable pitch at the moment.

    • Miguel Cabrera hit his 12th home run of the season Tuesday in the Tigers' win over the Indians.
Advice: The home run raised his RBI total to a ridiculous 49, and he's now hitting .384/.455/.667 on the season. A Triple Crown is a rare feat, but Cabrera may actually be an odds-on favorite to repeat this year with how he's hitting.

    • Miguel Cabrera went 4-for-4 with three home runs and five RBI in Sunday night's loss to the Rangers.
Advice: Cabrera launched a three-run homer in the third inning and a solo shot in the fifth off Derek Holland before he added a third home run late off Tanner Scheppers. The weather conditions at Arlington obviously played a factor, but it was a monster of a performance. Cabrera is currently on track to have a better season than his Triple Crown winning campaign in 2012.
