Advice: Westbrook tried throwing from a mound Wednesday for the first time since landing on the DL but had to stop after 20 pitches due to lingering pain in his right elbow. The Cardinals don't believe he has structural damage in the elbow, but clearly he's not ready to return anytime soon. It's not clear what the next step for the right-hander is.

Since that time, he's been a human pi¤ata, allowing 10 runs on 10 hits and four homers over just 3 2/3 innings. Durbin, 35, registered a solid 3.10 ERA in 61 innings last season for the Braves. Philadelphia may be wondering if they purchased a $1.1 million mole at this point.

Advice: Clippard is seventh in the National League with eight holds. He's collected three wins in 2013 and posted a 2.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 19/11 K/BB ratio over 19 appearances. The Yankee Clippard had a 6.33 ERA over six starts in the Bronx as a rookie in 2007. In the six years since, he owns a sparkling 2.83 ERA and 1.09 WHIP for the Nationals. It's time for a new nickname, though The National Clippard leaves plenty to be desired.

Advice: After a red hot April, Santana was hitting just .182/.316/.333 heading into Wednesday's game. Backup catcher Yan Gomes has been playing more frequently lately, but Santana's bat plays at first base and he even gets an occasional game at DH, too. No matter how they arrange it, Santana will be in the middle of the Indians lineup more often than not.

Advice: Acquired from the Mariners for Eric Thames at last year's trade deadline, Delabar has been excellent since he stepped off the plane. The 29-year-old pitched in independent league ball from 2008-09, missed the 2010 season due to an elbow injury and spent most of 2011 in the minors. Delabar's amazing story includes a 3.21 ERA in 98 innings since his September 2011 debut.

He's first in the AL in batting average (.391), second in homers (14), and first in RBI (55), runs (39), slugging percentage (.701) and OPS (1.168). He's only eighth in walks (25) at the moment, but he'll be gifted plenty more of those as teams realize it's an awful idea to throw Cabrera a hittable pitch at the moment.

Advice: The home run raised his RBI total to a ridiculous 49, and he's now hitting .384/.455/.667 on the season. A Triple Crown is a rare feat, but Cabrera may actually be an odds-on favorite to repeat this year with how he's hitting.

Advice: Cabrera launched a three-run homer in the third inning and a solo shot in the fifth off Derek Holland before he added a third home run late off Tanner Scheppers. The weather conditions at Arlington obviously played a factor, but it was a monster of a performance. Cabrera is currently on track to have a better season than his Triple Crown winning campaign in 2012. He has 11 home runs and leads the American League in batting average (.387), runs (34), and slugging-percentage (.659).

Advice: He struck out five. Diamond allowed a two-run homer to Miguel Cabrera and spent the rest of the evening dancing out of self-inflicted danger. Diamond was 3-2 with a 3.03 on May 7. Over his last three starts, he's allowed 15 earned runs and five homers over 15 2/3 innings. Diamond's control is almost as worrisome as the baseballs he's watched fly into the stands. Usually a southpaw with plus command, Diamond has walked seven and struck out just six in his last three outings.

Advice: Tomlin went under the knife last August. At this point in his rehab, it's hard to predict if a 2013 return is in the cards. Tomlin has said he'd rather be 100 percent for 2014 rather than making a premature late-season return this year. The right-hander posted a 6.36 ERA in 16 starts and five relief appearances with the Indians last season.
