Justin Sellers will being a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday.

  • Zobrist to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery
Ben Zobrist is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.

Advice: The typical time frame for recovery is 4-to-6 weeks. The Athletics have enough moving parts and versatility to overcome his absence in the short term. Eric Sogard should see most of the work at second base while Zobrist is on the shelf. Rotoworld.com

  • Rendon (knee) feels good after rehab game
Anthony Rendon (knee) said that he felt good after his first minor league rehab game with Double-A Harrisburg on Friday.

Advice: Rendon went 1-for-2 with a double and played five innings defensively at third base. He's scheduled to play seven innings on Saturday and then nine innings on Monday after an off-day Sunday. Barring any setbacks, he should rejoin the Nationals for their four-game series against the Mets in New York. Rotoworld.com

  • LeMahieu collects three hits, drives in two
D.J. LeMahieu hit an RBI single and an RBI double in Friday's win over the Giants.

Advice: LeMahieu picked up both of his RBI against Giants starter Chris Heston. He finished the game 3-for-4 with two doubles and a single. Despite the hot game, LeMahieu hits seventh in the Rockies lineup and his current .414/.452/.552 slash bears little resemblance to any of his career marks. Outside of NL-only leagues, he's not fantasy relevant. Rotoworld.com

  • Peralta goes 3-for-4 with home run in win
Jhonny Peralta hit a solo home run and went 3-for-4 in Friday's game against the Brewers.

Advice: Peralta launched the solo home run off of Matt Garza in the sixth inning. The big game jumped his batting line up to .317/.344/.500. All was not roses for the shortstop, as he did commit an error in the field. Such things do not lead to runs when you're playing the Brewers, though, and the Cardinals still came away with a 3-0 win. • Segura notches two hits in loss to Cardinals
Jean Segura went 2-for-4 in Friday's loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Segura had two singles in the game and is now slashing .302/.333/.398. The Brewers, as a team, managed just five hits. While Segura's putting up decent stats, there's only so much that a relatively light-hitting shortstop can do when everybody around him is struggling. To wit, Segura and Adam Lind are the only two regulars currently hitting over .246. Rotoworld.com

  • Marcus Semien goes 2-for-5, homers
Making his first start in the leadoff spot, Marcus Semien went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer Friday against the Astros.

Advice: With Sam Fuld on the bench, it's the first time this year that Semien has batted higher than eighth. He'll probably return to the bottom of the order on Saturday, but it's possible he could get a long look in the two hole if he continues hitting. He has six hits in his last three games, raising his average to .279. Rotoworld.com

  • Beckham cranks third homer of season
Tim Beckham hit his third home run of the season when he went yard against Jeff Francis in the seventh inning of Friday's romp over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Beckham's been a pinch-hit wizard, with both of his other homers this season coming off the bench. While Beckham did pinch-hit for David DeJesus against the Blue Jays on Friday, the home run came in his second at-bat. He finished the game 2-for-2 with two RBI and a run scored. A former No. 1 overall pick, his strong bench bat would probably be fun to own just for the sake of awesomeness. Over 36 AB's, he's hitting .278/.325/.583. It's not quite enough at-bats to say he's a must-add, but if he's floating on the waiver wire, keep an eye on him. Rotoworld.com

  • Reyes does not record hit in big loss to Rays
Jose Reyes went 0-for-3 in Friday's blowout loss to the Rays.

Advice: Reyes, who is dealing with a small fracture in his left rib, went hit-less against the Rays and has not recorded a hit in his last seven at-bats. Stretching beyond the last few games, he has just one hit since April 21, spanning 15 at-bats. While he has avoided a stay on the disabled list for the time being, it's not a surprise that the speedy shortstop has struggled of late. Reyes is hitting just .250/.268/.308 and has limited fantasy value until he starts getting on base more. Rotoworld.com

Josh Harrison had two hits, including a two-run double, Friday against the Diamondbacks.

Nick Ahmed went 0-for-3 before being removed for a pinch-hitter Friday against the Pirates.

Advice: Ahmed is quite the defender, but he's batting .128 with one extra-base hit, one RBI and one run scored through 47 at-bats. He can't remain quite this bad, but he's likely to be the NL's worst offensive regular for however long the Diamondbacks stick with him. Rotoworld.com

  • Travis hits solo homer in blowout loss
Devon Travis hit a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Rays.

Advice: That's home runs in back-to-back games for the infielder. He had been dealing with a rib injury suffered after he was hit by a pitch on April 19, but appears to be swinging fine. Though the Blue Jays went on to lose 12-3, they must be thrilled to have Travis back in the lineup. In the early going, he's hitting .375/.435/.732 with five home runs, 16 RBI and 12 runs scored. Hanley Ramirez hit a solo home run in Friday's win over the Orioles.

Advice: Ramirez went back-to-back with teammate David Ortiz in the fifth inning. He would finish the game 2-for-5. The former Red Sox prospect-turned-Dodger-turned Red Sox player is loving life in Boston right now and is slashing .274/.333/.565 with five home runs, 13 RBI and 11 runs scored. Rotoworld.com

  • Brian Dozier goes 0-for-4 in loss
Brian Dozier went 0-for-4 and struck out three times in Friday's loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Moving Dozier into the cleanup spot hasn't done the Twins any good; he's 5-for-28 with two RBI in eight games there. He should be the team's second best OBP guy behind Joe Mauer, so it'd certainly make more sense to have him batting first or second. Ideally, he'd hit first and Danny Santana would be dropped to the ninth spot. Rotoworld.com

  • Gordon notches three hits and a steal in win
Dee Gordon went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's win over the Nationals.

Advice: Gordon hit the RBI single off of Jordan Zimmerman in the fifth inning. He also flashed his reckless side, as he was thrown out at second on the same play. Gordon giveth and he taketh away in that fashion. Later in the game, he recorded his eighth steal of the season. In Gordon's first year with the Marlins, he is slashing a lovely .370/.382/.452. If we're going to quibble with the great start, Gordon's walked just twice in 73 at-bats, meaning that his OBP is largely dependent on his bat. Rotoworld.com

Blue Jays designated INF Steve Tolleson for assignment.

Advice: The 31-year-old hit just .200/.250/.400 with five strikeouts in his 16 plate appearances with the Jays. With his versatility, there's a chance that Tolleson could attract interest on waivers, otherwise he'll continue to provide organizational infield depth for the Jays. Rotoworld.com

  • Uggla continues to struggle in loss to MIA
Dan Uggla went 0-for-3 in Friday's loss to the Marlins.

Advice: As is his wont, Uggla also struck out twice in the contest. This brings his batting line to a cringe-inducing .118/.189/.176 over 34 at-bats. It's difficult to believe that the hitter we're seeing now had six seasons with 25 or more home runs. Those days are long, long gone. Once Anthony Rendon returns from a knee injury, Uggla's at-bats figure to drop off a cliff. That's assuming the Nationals keep him on the active roster, which at this point, is not a given. As always, if Tulowitzki can remain healthy, he will be one of the top offensive producers in baseball. To this point, his hip has not started barking at him. Rotoworld.com

  • Francisco Lindor hits his first homer of 2015
Indians top prospect Francisco Lindor blasted his first homer Saturday for Triple-A Columbus.

Advice: It was a solo shot to left field. Lindor hasn't shown us much with the bat, hitting only .212 in his first 33 at-bats. Power is never going to be his strong suit but if Lindor can get that average up, he should get called up to the big leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Infante day-to-day with strained left groin
Omar Infante was diagnosed with a strained left groin and is considered day-to-day.

Advice: Infante sustained the injury during Sunday's game against the Athletics. The oft-injured infielder will probably be rested for a couple of days before rejoining the Royals lineup. Rotoworld.com

  • Zobrist day-to-day with left knee soreness
Ben Zobrist is considered day-to-day after leaving Sunday's game with soreness in his left knee.

Advice: Zobrist could get a day off to rest it on Monday, but shouldn't experience any type of extended absence from the Athletics lineup. Rotoworld.com

  • Jose Reyes (rib) could play on Tuesday
Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said Sunday that Jose Reyes could return to the Blue Jays lineup on Tuesday.

Advice: Reyes will be limited to hitting only from the right side of the plate as he's dealing with a small fracture in his left rib cage, but it looks as though he'll be able to avoid a trip to the disabled list. Rotoworld.com

  • Omar Infante leaves game with leg injury
Omar Infante left Sunday's game versus the Athletics with an apparent leg injury.

Advice: Infante was spotted wincing in the fifth inning as he pulled into second base with a double. The Royals could be without both of their middle infielders for a bit with Alcides Escobar (knee) also sidelined. Expect an update on Infante shortly. Rotoworld.com

  • X-rays confirm no fracture for Travis (rib)
X-rays confirmed that Devon Travis did not suffer a left rib fracture.

Advice: Travis had to leave Sunday's game following a hit by pitch, but he managed to escape with just a bruise. The Blue Jays are considering the second baseman day-to-day. Rotoworld.com

  • Devon Travis exits game after HBP in side
Devon Travis left Sunday's game versus the Braves after being hit in the left side by a pitch.

Advice: The initial diagnosis is a left rib contusion, although he seems like to be sent for X-rays. Travis stayed in the game initially but appeared to aggravated the injury on a dive back into first base on a pickoff attempt. The second baseman looked to be in quite a bit of pain as he exited the field. Rotoworld.com

  • D.J. LeMahieru hits first homer
D.J. LeMahieu's first homer was a two-run shot off Zack Greinke on Saturday.

Advice: The typically light-hitting LeMahieu is batting .463 over his first 41 at-bats of 2015. It hasn't moved him up in the Rockies order, so he's still irrelevant outside of NL-only leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Gordon finishes perfect 5-for-5 in loss
Dee Gordon hit a double and four singles in Saturday's loss to the Mets.

Advice: Despite a late comeback attempt, Gordon and his teammates were unable to secure the win. He's been one of the lone bright spots for the Marlins and is now hitting .400/.415/.520. Gordon's also been caught stealing four times in just 12 games, though he runs so often that this isn't a huge surprise. He was thrown out 19 times last season, against 64 swipes. Gordon won't supply much power, but he'll give you the speed and runs in spades, plus a nice average. Rotoworld.com

Royals recalled INF Orlando Calixte from Triple-A Omaha.

  • Cardinals recall Dean Anna from AAA level
Cardinals recalled INF Dean Anna from Triple-A Memphis.

Advice: Anna failed to make the Cardinals' roster out of spring training after a rough showing in Grapefruit League play, but he is needed now for the bench with Randal Grichuk (back) heading to the disabled list. Anna can play all around the diamond defensively. He carries no fantasy relevance in a utility role. Rotoworld.com

  • Jose Reyes (rib) ruled out through weekend
Jose Reyes (rib) will not play this weekend.

Advice: The Blue Jays will wait until after Monday's off day to see if Reyes is feeling well enough to play through a small fracture in his left rib cage. If he's still in pain Tuesday, they'll place him on the disabled list. Ryan Goins is expected to fill in at shortstop while Reyes is out. Rotoworld.com

  • Devon Travis hitting leadoff Friday
Devon Travis is batting leadoff versus Julio Teheran and the Braves on Friday.

Advice: He could remain in the spot for a while if Jose Reyes (rib) needs a trip to the disabled list. Travis is off to a .371/.421/.657 start at the plate in his first 38 big league plate appearances. Rotoworld.com

  • Jose Reyes dealing with fracture in rib cage
An MRI has revealed that Jose Reyes is dealing with a small fracture in his left rib cage.

Advice: The Blue Jays haven't ruled out him being able to play through it, as manager John Gibbons said the club should know later Friday whether a trip to the disabled list will be required. Reyes had been dealing with the ailment for a bit before being removed from Thursday's game when it became too painful. Ryan Goins is expected to fill in at shortstop while Reyes is out. • Jose Reyes (ribs) will not play on Friday
Blue Jays manager John Gibbons confirmed that Jose Reyes (ribs) will not play on Friday.

Advice: The veteran infielder is expected to take the next couple of days off, but is hopeful that he will be able to avoid a trip to the disabled list, though how quickly his oblique responds to treatment may determine that. Ryan Goins is expected to fill in at shortstop in his absence. Rotoworld.com

  • Tim Beckham delivers second pinch-hit homer
Tim Beckham delivered his second pinch-hit homer of the year Thursday off the Jays' Aaron Loup.

Advice: A former No. 1 overall pick probably shouldn't aspire to be Manny Mota, but Beckham sure has done nice work off the bench so far, with the two homers and a triple in five at-bats as a pinch-hitter. The Rays might start giving him more time at second base to show what he can do. Rotoworld.com

  • Jose Reyes leaves game with rib injury
Jose Reyes was removed from Thursday's game against the Rays in the first inning due to soreness in his left rib area.

Advice: Reyes has been batting an oblique issue for awhile, and this could be a recurrence of that, as opposed to a new injury. He was slated for a day of rest on Saturday, and that could be extended now that he's dealing with this ailment. The Jays should have an update on his status after the game. Rotoworld.com

  • Reyes to get the day off Saturday
Jose Reyes is slated to get the day off Saturday.

Advice: The Blue Jays are resting him for a day game after a night game on turf, which Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com writes could become a regular thing. Keep this in mind as the season moves along. Steve Tolleson will start at shortstop on Saturday while Ryan Goins will be a late-inning defensive replacement. Rotoworld.com

  • Devon Travis goes 3-for-5, homers
Devon Travis went 3-for-5 with a homer and a double versus the Rays on Wednesday.

Advice: Travis also homered on Opening Day, so this makes two for him. With the Jays scoring in bunches so far, Travis has been good for six runs scored and six RBI in nine games from the bottom of the order. That's allowed him to be useful in mixed leagues so far, but if the runs begin to dry up for the Jays, Travis's value likely will, too. Rotoworld.com

  • Hanley Ramirez slugs two-run homer Wed.
Hanley Ramirez slugged a two-run homer in Boston's loss to the Nationals on Wednesday.

Advice: It was a fifth-inning shot off Gio Gonzalez that sailed over the Green Monster. Hanley had no other hits on the afternoon but he's off to a very promising start with his new team, boasting a .923 OPS, four home runs, and nine RBI in eight games. Now if only he could pitch. Rotoworld.com
