  • Flores hits a walk-off single as Mets top PHI
Wilmer Flores knocked in the tying and game-winning runs as the Mets walked off winners in 10 innings versus the Phillies on Tuesday.

Advice: Flores, who went 1-for-4 on the night, tied the game at 4-4 with an eighth-inning sacrifice fly against Ken Giles. In the 10th inning, he came to the plate with runners on the corners and two out. He lifted an Elvis Araujo offering into left field to bring in the winning run. Flores has hit for decent power but otherwise has been lackluster, batting .252/.284/.429 with seven home runs and 21 RBI. Rotoworld.com

  • Schumaker hits walk-off double versus Rockies
Skip Schumaker hit a pinch-hit walk-off double in the Reds' win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: With a man on second and one out, Schumaker delivered the game-winning hit to left field to send Reds fans home happy. It also sent his teammates home happy, as the win was the Reds' first in their last 10 tries. The walk-off hit was a nice moment for Schumaker, who is hitting just .240/.255/.360 in a reserve role this season. Rotoworld.com

  • Russell delivers walk-off 2B as Cubs top Nats
Addison Russell delivered a walk-off RBI double in the bottom of the ninth inning to send the Cubs to a win against the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Russell finished 3-for-4 on the night. The Cubs had a runner on second base and two outs in the bottom of the ninth when Russell ripped a double to right-center off of reliever Matt Grace. Russell now has 11 doubles on the season and is batting .252/.301/.426 with three home runs and 13 RBI. Rotoworld.com

  • DeShields not in Tuesday's lineup
Delino DeShields Jr. is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Indians.

Advice: DeShields made the start in center field on Monday, but Leonys Martin is back in there against right-hander Danny Salazar. We still think Martin will end up getting most of the playing time in center field, which will hurt DeShields as long as Josh Hamilton can stay healthy. Of course, that's far from a guarantee. • Alberto Callaspo rejects trade to Dodgers
FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Alberto Callaspo has rejected a trade to the Dodgers.

Advice: Juan Uribe and others would have been sent to the Braves in the proposed deal. However, Callaspo has the ability to veto a trade until June 15 since he signed with the Braves as a free agent over the winter. He ultimately chose to use that right. Callaspo figures to be designated for assignment when Chris Johnson comes off the DL later this week and he'll be able to sign with any team at the major league minimum once he hits free agency. • Forsythe to play first base with Loney out
Rays manager Kevin Cash said Monday that Logan Forsythe will function as the regular first baseman with James Loney (finger) sidelined.

Advice: This will open things up for Nick Franklin to get more playing time at second base. Rene Rivera, Jacob Elmore, and Tim Beckham could also see some reps at first base, but Forsythe should get most of the playing time. Loney is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. Rotoworld.com

  • Braves trying to trade Alberto Callaspo
Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez revealed after Monday's game that Alberto Callaspo was scratched because the club is in the process of trying to trade him.

Advice: There had been speculation that he could be designated for assignment, but evidently the Braves might find a taker for him. They'll surely have to eat a good portion of what remains of Callaspo's $3 million salary for this season. The veteran infielder has just three hits in his last 53 at-bats to drop his season average to .206. Rotoworld.com

  • Forsythe provides Rays' only run with a homer
Logan Forsythe walked and hit a solo home run, providing the Rays' only run in Monday's loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Forsythe put the Rays on the board with a sixth-inning solo shot to left field off of Roenis Elias. The 28-year-old has done a terrific job, batting .299/.374/.487 with five home runs and 21 RBI. He has played mostly at second base in the absence of Nick Franklin and has value in mixed leagues as long as he's hitting the way he is and getting regular at-bats. Rotoworld.com

  • Callaspo to be designated for assignment?
MLB.com's Mark Bowman reports that Alberto Callaspo may be designated for assignment.

Advice: The Braves didn't give a reason for scratching Callaspo from Monday's lineup, but Bowman is hearing it could be because his time with the club is coming to an end. The veteran infielder has just three hits in his last 53 at-bats to drop his season average to .206. He was signed to a $3 million contract over the offseason. Rotoworld.com

  • Wilmer Flores cranks seventh homer in win
Wilmer Flores cranked his seventh home run of the season Monday in the Mets' defeat of the Phillies.

Advice: And just like that, he is leading all major league shortstops in home runs. Flores was retired in his other three at-bats Monday and is batting just .252 with a .287 on-base percentage for the season, but his pop gives him value at a position where production is scarce. Rotoworld.com

  • Rays recall Tim Beckham from AAA Durham
Rays recalled INF Tim Beckham from Triple-A Durham.

Advice: Beckham was just optioned to the minors last week, but the Rays need him to provide infield depth with first baseman James Loney ruled out indefinitely after suffering a broken finger. Beckham was batting just .224/.266/.459 at the time of his May 22 demotion. He's doubtful to hold mixed-league fantasy value. Rotoworld.com

  • Javier Baez goes deep twice in Sunday's win
Cubs shortstop prospect Javier Baez launched two homers Sunday in a win for Triple-A Iowa.

Advice: Baez had a great weekend, mashing seven hits in 13 at-bats with three homers and six RBI. The 22-year-old doesn't have enough at-bats to qualify, but if he did, his OPS (.944) would be the eighth-highest in the Pacific Coast League while his slugging percentage (.540) would be tenth-highest. Baez crushed nine homers in his first stint in the big leagues last season but struggled to hit for average (.169 in 213 at-bats). Rotoworld.com

  • Adam Rosales powers rangers past Yankees
Adam Rosales blasted a two-run homer on Sunday, powering the Rangers to a 5-2 victory over the Yankees in New York.

Advice: It was the second straight start that Rosales has made at second base and he made the most of it, going 2-for-3 plus a walk, though he was caught stealing. Though he's hitting just .214/.279/.375 on the season, he could be interesting in AL-only formats if he's indeed seeing the bulk of playing time at second base. Rotoworld.com

Mets recalled INF Danny Muno from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Advice: The 26-year-old only saw six at-bats in his first stint with the big league club, going 1-for-6 (.167) with three strikeouts. He'll function as infield depth with the recent news that David Wright has been shut down for at least another week. Rotoworld.com

  • Gonzalez's 3 hits contribute to Astros' win
Marwin Gonzalez went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored as the Astros held off the Tigers on Sunday.

Advice: Jose Altuve wasn't in the lineup Sunday as he was getting a day of rest. Gonzalez took second base in his stead and performed admirably, contributing to a 10-run outburst on the afternoon. He's hitting .263/.271/.421 on the year with two home runs, 12 RBI, and 13 runs scored. Rotoworld.com

  • Flores manages two hits in drubbing by PIT
Wilmer Flores went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Sunday's loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Flores can proudly tell his grandchildren that he did not strike out against Francisco Liriano in a game that saw 12 strikeouts by the former Twin. Not only did Flores not strike out, he managed the only run for the Mets (on an RBI single in the fifth inning) and was the only Met to record more than one hit. He's hitting .252/.288/.417 with six homers and 16 RBI this season. Rotoworld.com

  • Brock Holt removed after hit by line drive
Brock Holt was removed early from Sunday's game against the Angels after he was struck in the arm by a line drive.

Advice: Holt hung around for another few innings afterwards, but claimed he started to lose feeling in his arm as the game wore on. Pablo Sandoval replaced him and finished the game at third base for the Red Sox. Holt should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld.com

Mets manager Terry Collins said Sunday that Ruben Tejada will be given multiple starts at third base.

Advice: Eric Campbell has really struggled at the hot corner, so the Mets will give Tejada a long look at the position. With David Wright (back) looking like he'll be sidelined for a while long, Tejada could settle into the position for a while if he plays well. Rotoworld.com

  • Rays option Tim Beckham to Triple-A Durham
Rays optioned INF Tim Beckham to Triple-A Durham.

Advice: The 25-year-old infielder went 2-for-4 with his fifth home run of the season on Friday, but became a roster casualty as the Rays needed a fresh arm in the bullpen. While he has shown flashes, he's hitting just .224/.266/.459 on the year and could benefit from everyday at-bats at Triple-A. Rotoworld.com

  • Russell smacks a homer in win over Padres
Addison Russell went 2-for-4 with a solo homer on Thursday in a win against the Padres.

Advice: The seventh inning blast off Dale Thayer provided an insurance run in the 3-0 triumph. Slowly but surely, Russell is getting up to speed. The 21-year-old rookie slashed .179/.207/.286 in 28 April at-bats (14/1 K/BB rate) after his promotion, but now boasts a May OPS over .800. He has drawn four walks in the past six games after taking only three in his first 21. Rotoworld.com

  • Brock Holt goes 0-for-3 against Rangers
Brock Holt went 0-for-3 with a walk and struck out looking to end the game Thursday against the Rangers.

Advice: Holt's great start seems like a distance memory now; he's hitting .149 with one RBI in 47 at-bats since April 27. The Red Sox are playing him less with Shane Victorino (kind of) back, but he has started the last two days with Pablo Sandoval banged up. Rotoworld.com
