Jordan Zimmermann told ESPN's Jerry Crasnick that he's not engaged in long-term talks with the Nationals.
Advice: "As far as I know there's nothing going on," the 26-year-old right-hander said Monday. Zimmermann, a second-round pick of the Nats in 2007, boasts an exceptional 1.59 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 34/9 K/BB ratio in 51 innings (seven starts) this season. He is arbitration-eligible in 2014 and 2015, so there's no real rush from either side.
