Advice: He reached the 90s a couple of times with his fastball, but mostly sat in the high 80s. Danks was pulled after giving up a leadoff double to Marcell Ozuna in the top of the seventh inning. Ozuna eventually came around to score on a sacrifice fly, which cost Danks a chance at the victory. Still, it was an encouraging outing for the southpaw, as he gave up just four hits and walked nine while striking out five. He has another favorable matchup next week against the Cubs, but most mixed league owners can afford to wait and see for now.

Nelson never realized that the pitcher, not the first baseman, caught the ball and gave the Rangers the out. It proved to be an especially big play when Brendan Ryan followed with a rare double. Were the call gotten right, it doesn't seem nearly so likely that Grimm would have pitched into the seventh inning tonight.

Advice: The game was suspended after eight innings and will resume Saturday. Hefner gave up a two-run homer to Freddie Freeman in the first inning, but retired 16 out of the final 19 batters he faced before exiting. However, LaTroy Hawkins coughed up the lead in the top of the eighth, which means that Hefner is still winless. He stuck out seven and walked two in the no-decision and owns a 4.67 ERA and 1.27 WHIP across nine starts and one relief appearance this season. He's not an option outside of deeper NL-only formats.
