    • Aaron Nola goes seven in victory over Nationals
Aaron Nola lasted seven innings and allowed three runs Sunday in beating the Nationals.

Advice: A strong follow-up to his shutout of the Mets, Nola gave up just two hits, which were homers to Eddie Rosario and Jesse Winker. He’s completed seven innings in five of his last seven starts, and he’s 6-2 with a 3.05 ERA for the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:20 pm

    • Ryan Pressly (finger) throwing bullpen Sunday
Ryan Pressly (finger) is throwing a bullpen session before Sunday’s game against the Brewers.

Advice: Pressly has been unavailable due to a finger issue, but the right-hander could be available in the late innings for Houston if the bullpen session goes well. He should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:21 am

    • Dazzles in return from injured list
Rodriguez didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Mariners, yielding just one hit and three walks over six shutout innings. He recorded seven strikeouts.

Advice: Rodriguez missed a little more than two weeks with right shoulder inflammation and made his return Saturday without going out on a rehab assignment first. He showed that he didn't need one, as he didn't give up his first and only hit on the night until there was one out in the sixth inning (and even that was just an infield single). Rodriguez was limited to just 82 pitches in his first start back, but he still managed to complete six frames because he was so efficient. The righty displayed his normal velocity and induced 13 swinging strikes on his 82 pitches. Rodriguez missed out on a win after the Orioles' bullpen struggled, but he looked as good as his fantasy managers could have hoped for. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:16 pm
    • Grayson Rodriguez strikes out seven in no-decision
Grayson Rodriguez was outstanding in his return from the injured list on Saturday, racking up seven strikeouts over six innings of shutout baseball in a tough-luck no-decision against the Mariners.

Advice: The right-hander allowed just one hit and three walks on the night. That one hit didn’t come until Julio Rodriguez reached on a one-out infield single in the sixth inning. The 24-year-old hurler got 13 swings and misses on 82 pitches on the night — six of those on his slider — while registering a CSW of 28 percent. He exited the game with a 2-0 lead and in line for his fifth victory of the season, but the O’s bullpen would blow that lead the following inning. Rodriguez will carry an impressive 3.15 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and a 44/15 K/BB ratio (40 innings) into Thursday’s matchup against the White Sox in Chicago. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:50 pm
    • Kodai Senga (shoulder) throwing again on Sunday
Kodai Senga (shoulder) is scheduled to throw another bullpen session on Sunday.

Advice: Senga remains in a bit of a holding pattern with his recovery from a right shoulder issue as he continues to work on his mechanics. There isn’t a definitive timetable for his return at the moment, but it seems plausible that he could be back before the end of next month, barring any setbacks. Rotoworld Saturday, 11:36 am

    • Activated from IL
The Orioles reinstated Rodriguez (shoulder) from the injured list to start Saturday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Rodriguez, who landed on the injured list May 1 with right shoulder inflammation, will return to the Orioles' rotation without making a rehab appearance in the minors. The 24-year-old right-hander threw 30 pitches in a bullpen session Sunday, though it's unclear how many pitches he's built up to since then, making it possible he works under a pitch count while facing the Mariners. Mike Baumann was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:49 am
    • O’s activate Grayson Rodriguez to start vs. M’s
Orioles activated RHP Grayson Rodriguez from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Rodriguez will take the ball on Saturday against the Mariners at Camden Yards following a nearly three-week stint on the injured list due to right shoulder inflammation. The 24-year-old burgeoning fantasy ace might have some workload limitations right out of the gate, but it’s a nice matchup for fantasy purposes against a Seattle lineup that has scored the fifth-fewest runs in baseball so far. • Wins with shaky outing
Brown (1-4) yielded four runs on four hits and three walks over five innings Friday, striking out five and earning a win over the Brewers.

Advice: Brown moved back into Houston's rotation for his first start since May 5 and notched his first win of 2024. He coughed up a solo homer to Jake Bauers in the second inning before Joey Ortiz slugged a three-run shot in the fourth. Brown has walked at least three batters in four of his eight starts and now owns a 41:21 K:BB through 37.1 innings. He'll carry a 7.71 ERA into his next appearance, which is currently lined up to be at home against the Angels. Brown could be pushed back to a bullpen role once Jose Urquidy (forearm) is healthy and Ronel Blanco returns from his suspension. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:06 am

    • Ryan Pressly dealing with finger soreness
Ryan Pressly is day-to-day with right finger soreness.

Advice: Astros manager Joe Espada didn’t seem to think it was a big deal when talking to reporters afterwards, but it sounds like Pressly could wind up getting a few days off as a result. There should be an update on his status at some point this weekend. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:41 am
