      Spencer Torkelson clubbed his third home run of the season on Sunday afternoon, but it wasn’t enough to power the Tigers past the Diamondbacks in Arizona.

      Advice: The 24-year-old slugger got the Tigers on the board in the third inning, crushing a 428-foot (106.5 mph EV) solo shot off of Jordan Montgomery in the third inning. He also reached on a fielder’s choice in the seventh inning and scored on an RBI triple off the bat of Kerry Carpenter that was nearly an inside-the-park home run.       Rafael Devers homered in a fifth straight game Sunday against the Cardinals.

      Advice: He took Ryan Fernandez deep in the sixth inning today. Devers had four homers in 31 games this season before this stretch. He’s also now working on a nine-game hitting streak, though he’s totaled just 11 hits in that span. His average is actually lower now (.285) than it was two weeks ago.       Advice: Kwan was able to take batting practice Friday and has reportedly made steady progress from the hamstring strain that has sidelined him since the middle of May.       Morel went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Saturday's 1-0 win over the Pirates.

      Advice: Morel's line drive to center in the bottom of the ninth inning brought in Cody Bellinger with the game-winning run. It was a nice effort for Morel, who's been productive this month despite batting just .220 in May. The production has come mostly in the power department, as the 24-year-old has five home runs this month across 17 games. Morel came into May with four long balls over his first 29 contests.       Contreras went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Saturday in a 4-2 victory versus Houston.

      Advice: Contreras provided the biggest hit of the game with a three-run, fourth-inning homer that broke a 1-1 tie and sent Justin Verlander to the showers. The long ball was the backstop's second in his past three games and extended his current on-base streak to 25 contests.
