    • Jose Altuve goes deep in Astros’ loss to Cubs
Jose Altuve belted a solo homer on Wednesday in the Astros’ loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Altuve took former teammate Héctor Neris deep in the ninth inning for his sixth round-tripper of the season. It was the first time he’s left the yard since a two-homer outburst back on April 14. The veteran second baseman has been one of the most impactful five-category contributors in the entire fantasy landscape this season, batting .350 (36-for-103) with 17 runs scored, six homers, eight RBI and three steals through 25 games. • Randy Arozarena goes deep in victory over Tigers
Randy Arozarena clubbed his third home run of the season on Wednesday, helping to propel the Rays to victory over the Tigers.

Advice: Arozarena got the Rays on the board in the home half of the first inning, blasting a game-tying 397-foot (105.0 mph EV) solo shot off of Jack Flaherty. The 29-year-old outfielder went down on strikes in each of his other three at-bats on the night, finishing the evening 1-for-4. His 2024 season is off to a brutal start offensively, slashing an anemic .158/.223/.263 with three homers, seven RBI and four stolen bases. Rotoworld Today, 7:22 pm

    • Jack Flaherty strikes out six in no-decision
Jack Flaherty had mixed results in a no-decision against the Rays on Wednesday, giving up four runs on seven hits over his five innings of work.

Advice: On the plus side, Flaherty racked up six strikeouts on the evening and didn’t walk a batter. He served up a solo homer to Randy Arozarena in the first inning, then the Rays broke through for three runs in the second — though a couple of those runs could have been unearned if not for a questionable scorer’s decision. Flaherty piled up 15 swings and misses on the night and posted a strong CSW of 31 percent. He still holds an uninspiring 4.91 ERA on the season and hasn’t won a game, but he does have a sparkling 1.16 WHIP and a 36/4 K/BB ratio over 29 1/3 innings. His luck should start to even out when he takes on his former team, the Cardinals, at home on Tuesday. Rotoworld Today, 7:13 pm

    • Juan Soto wallops sixth homer in win over A’s
Juan Soto swatted a solo homer on Wednesday in the Yankees’ win over the Athletics.

Advice: Soto connected for a towering 416-foot blast to left-center field off Athletics reliever Danny Jiménez in the sixth inning to extend the Yankees’ lead to a commanding three-run margin at the time. It was his sixth round-tripper of the year. It was the first time he’s gone deep in five games since April 19. The 25-year-old generational talent holds a robust .319/.431/.564 triple-slash line with 17 runs scored, six homers, 22 RBI and one steal across 116 plate appearances in his Yankees debut. • Shohei Ohtani raises average to .371 in blowout
Shohei Ohtani went 3-for-6 with a pair of RBI on Wednesday in the Dodgers’ blowout win over the Nationals.

Advice: We’re running out of superlatives to describe Ohtani’s exploits. He doubled three times in the one-sided affair, including a pair of runs-scoring knocks in the eighth and ninth innings, respectively, to raise his batting average to an astronomical .371 (39-for-105) in the process. The 29-year-old two-way fantasy superstar has put together an unbelievable Dodgers debut so far with a 1.128 OPS to go along with 22 runs scored, six homers, 16 RBI and five steals through 26 games. • Could return soon
Correa (oblique) said Wednesday he could return during the Twins' upcoming road trip, which begins Friday against the Angels and runs through next Wednesday against the White Sox, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Correa did some glove work and took swings Wednesday as he ramps up his baseball activities, and there's a chance he returns from the injured list without a minor-league rehab assignment. The star shortstop's progress over the next few days should provide a better indication of whether a rehab stint will be necessary. Rotowire.com Today, 3:24 pm

    • Gets Wednesday break
Campusano is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Campusano will get a rest day after starting six of eight games in the Padres' last three series. The 25-year-old catcher is slashing .288/.321/.413 with 14 RBI through 84 plate appearances on the year. Rotowire.com Today, 2:55 pm
    • Bashes long homer
Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Washington.

Advice: Ohtani capped the scoring in the contest with a 450-foot solo blast to right-center field. Per MLB.com, the homer was hit at 118.7 mph, making it the hardest-hit ball in the majors so far this season. It also extended Ohtani's hitting streak to eight games, during which he is slashing .414/.514/.655 with two long balls, four RBI, seven runs, three steals and a 6:6 BB:K. Rotowire.com Today, 9:25 am
