    • Taylor Ward leaves game with lower back tightness
Taylor Ward left Tuesday’s game for precautionary purposes due to lower back tightness.

Advice: Ward was lifted for a pinch-hitter in the rout after homering, doubling and walking in three plate appearances. He’s day-to-day. If he can’t play Wednesday, then Kevin Pillar figures to get a start against a right-hander. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:56 pm

    • Extends hitting streak to 16 games
Tatis went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-1 victory versus the Athletics.

Advice: Tatis belted a solo shot in the fifth inning to give San Diego a 3-1 lead and extend his personal hitting streak to 16 games. The long ball was his third in his past four contests and his fifth during the streak. Tatis is batting a superb .394 across the 16 games with nine RBI, 12 runs and a stolen base. • Verdugo has two-hit game Monday
Alex Verdugo went 2-for-4 with an RBI against the Royals on Monday.

Advice: Verdugo’s RBI was his 35th of the season. He’s hitting .265 with a .753 OPS on the year. Verdugo batted fourth with Aaron Judge out of the lineup, though he regularly hits in the middle of the order. He’s been a solid but unspectacular contributor for New York this year. • Swats another homer in loss
Tatis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Tatis extended his hitting streak to 15 games with a solo blast to center in the first inning and would go quiet the rest of the afternoon. The hit streak is a new career high for him and also the longest active streak in baseball. Over that span, he's hitting .410/.463/.672 with four homers, eight RBI, 11 runs and a 4:8 BB:K over 67 plate appearances. He's raised his batting average nearly 40 points since the streak began and now holds a slash line of .281/.359/.467 with a team-high 12 home runs. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:00 am
    • Picks up steal in win
Mullins went 2-for-4 with a triple, a stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: Mullins entered Sunday 0-for-22 over his last eight games. He was able to break the drought with a fifth-inning single before adding a leadoff triple in the seventh. The outfielder has two steals over his last four contests even amid his deep slump. Mullins is slashing just .178/.227/.317 with 13 steals, six home runs, 22 RBI and 25 runs scored over 194 plate appearances this season. He's picked up extra work while Austin Hays (ribs) has been limited to a bench role, but Mullins is likely to see a smaller role once the Orioles' outfield is back to full health. • Mullins has two hits, stolen base in win
Cedric Mullins went 2-for-4 with a triple and a steal in a win over the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: These were the first hits Mullins has had in June, now going 2-for-18 on the month. He does have 13 steals on the season now, so his speed remains fantasy-relevant. He has started the last three games for the Orioles as Austin Hays battles an injury, but Mullins has just four games during the week as Colton Cowser has been getting a chance to play center field more often. Mullins isn’t bringing much to the table aside from speed and with his playing time now coming into question, it’s hard to see holding onto him outside of the deepest formats. • Yordan Alvarez powers Astros to win over Angels
Yordan Alvarez went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer on Saturday, leading the Astros to a 6-1 victory over the Angels.

Advice: Alvarez is seeing the ball exceptionally well of late, slashing .367/.430/.633 with six homers and 15 RBI over his last 28 games to raise his batting average from .239 to .296 during that period. The 26-year-old fantasy superstar took Angels starter Tyler Anderson deep in the fifth inning for his 13th round-tripper of the season as part of an impressive three-hit performance. • Taylor Ward walks three times in loss to Astros
Taylor Ward walked three times on Saturday in the Angels’ loss to the Astros.

Advice: Ward has been at the epicenter of recent trade speculation leading up to next month’s All-Star break and figures to be on the move at some point with the Angels not really in contention this season. The 30-year-old outfielder, who holds a robust .770 OPS with 11 homers and two steals through 63 games this season, isn’t a free agent until 2027, so he’s going to require a considerable haul to pry him loose from Los Angeles. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:17 am

    • Three extra-base hits in win
Alvarez went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, two doubles and two total runs scored in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Alvarez is seeing the ball well lately, going 19-for-43 (.442) with four homers, five doubles, 11 RBI and just three strikeouts over his last 11 contests. He's even chipped in a pair of stolen bases in that span. Alvarez is up to 13 homers, 33 RBI, 37 runs scored, 15 doubles and three steals while slashing .296/.369/.514 over 64 contests. He's picked up more time in left field recently with Chas McCormick sliding over to right to cover for the absence of Kyle Tucker (lower leg). Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:31 pm
