      Advice: The first baseman opened the scoring for his squad in the first inning by taking Tanner Bibee deep, but the Royals' offense quickly dried up after that. Pasquantino has gone yard in back-to-back games and has a six-game RBI streak going, batting .348 (8-for-23) over that stretch with a double, three homers and eight RBI.       Ragans (5-6) took the loss Saturday, coughing up five runs on six hits and a walk over 4.2 innings as the Royals were downed 7-2 by the Guardians. He struck out six.

      Advice: The big blow off the southpaw was a two-run blast by rookie Jhonkensy Noel in the fourth inning, but Ragans also got tagged for doubles by Josh Naylor and Jose Ramirez, with the latter chasing him from the game in the fifth after 93 pitches (52 strikes). Ragans hadn't given up more than three runs in a start since May 11, and he'll take a 3.33 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 126:34 K:BB through 102.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Colorado.       Initial X-rays on the injured left hand/wrist of Corey Seager came back negative for any fractures on Saturday.

      Advice: That doesn’t necessarily mean that the coast is clear, as he’ll still undergo additional testing, but it’s very encouraging to hear that there were no fractures revealed on the initial X-rays.       Seager's (wrist) X-rays came back negative and he'll undergo further evaluation Sunday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

      Advice: Seager was hit in the left wrist by a pitch during Saturday's game against the Orioles and was immediately removed from the contest. Considering he looked to be in significant pain, Seager's X-rays returning negative is certainly an encouraging sign. Sill, it seems like he'll be held out of Sunday's series finale.     • Triumphant in return
      Gallen (6-4) allowed a hit and a walk while striking out seven over six shutout innings to earn the win over the Athletics on Saturday.

      Advice: Gallen returned from a hamstring injury that cost him nearly a month and took full advantage of a soft matchup. This was the fourth time this season he's gone six innings in a start without allowing a run. He's also posted five quality starts in his last six outings, with the lone exception being the May 30 start that ended with the aforementioned hamstring injury before he could record an out. The right-hander is now at a 2.83 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 67:16 K:BB through 63.2 innings over 12 starts. Gallen threw 77 pitches (50 strikes) Saturday, so he should be good for a full workload his next time out, which is tentatively projected for a road outing at San Diego.       Corey Seager was removed from Saturday’s game against the Orioles after being hit by a pitch on his left hand in the fifth inning.

      Advice: On the seventh pitch of his at-bat in the fifth inning, Cade Povich tried to come inside with a 90.5 mph sinker and clipped Seager near his left hand/wrist. Seager immediately retreated to the clubhouse, didn’t make any attempt to stay in the game. He’ll head for X-rays to see if there’s any structural damage.     • Extends hit streak to 11 games
      India went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Cardinals.

      Advice: India hit an RBI double and scored in the second inning, and then added another RBI double in the seventh. The second baseman is on fire, hitting safely in 11 consecutive games and registering multiple hits in eight straight. He has increased his average to .279 with five home runs, 34 RBI, 38 runs scored and eight steals over 311 plate appearances this season.       Gray (9-5) took the loss against the Reds on Saturday, allowing six runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk with six strikeouts over 4.1 innings.

      Advice: Gray allowed two runs in the third inning and then endured a rough fifth frame, loading the bases and yielding a run on an error by Nolan Arenado. He was pulled after the error at 92 pitches, and each of the three inherited runners came around to score before the end of the frame. Gray generated 14 swinging strikes on 92 pitches but failed to complete five innings for just the second time in 15 starts this season.
