    • Falls to St. Louis
Blanco (5-2) took the loss Wednesday against the Cardinals, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Blanco held St. Louis to one run through his first four frames before surrendering three runs between the fifth and sixth innings. After starting the year 5-0, Blanco's now dropped back-to-back starts while allowing eight runs across 9.1 innings in that span. The 30-year-old right-hander still sports a solid 2.78 ERA with a 1.05 WHIP and 59:27 K:BB across 11 starts (64.2 innings) this year. Blanco will look to get back on track in his next outing, currently scheduled for early next week in San Francisco. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:58 pm

    • Ronel Blanco allows four runs in loss to Cards
Ronel Blanco gave up four runs over 5 2/3 innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Blanco has cooled off a bit of late after opening the season in dominant fashion, failing to complete six frames in five of his last seven starts since April 27. He gave up five hits, including a solo homer to Nolan Arenado, and finished with only a pair of strikeouts in this one, his lowest single-start total of the year. He’ll bring a solid 2.78 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 59/27 K/BB ratio across 64 2/3 innings (11 starts) into a road matchup on Tuesday against the Giants at Oracle Park. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:29 pm

    • In line to start Saturday
Suarez (hand) is in line to start Saturday versus the Mets in London after playing catch again Wednesday, Paul Casella of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Suarez had been slated to throw a bullpen session Wednesday, but he instead played catch for the second straight day. The change of plans doesn't appear to have resulted in him being pushed back in the Phillies' pitching schedule, as the southpaw remains on track to make his next start this weekend. Suarez exited his most recent outing Saturday against the Cardinals after being hit on the left hand by a comebacker. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:39 am
    • Ranger Suárez trending towards starting in London
Ranger Suárez (thumb) played catch on Tuesday without any issues or limitations.

Advice: Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Suárez is slated to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday and is trending towards taking the ball this weekend in London against the Mets. The 28-year-old southpaw is reportedly feeling much better of late after being hit by a comebacker last Saturday against the Cardinals. X-rays came back negative and it looks like he’ll be ready to take the ball this weekend. Rotoworld Tuesday, 1:42 pm
    • Still on track for London start
Suarez (hand) played catch without any apparent issues Tuesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: He gave a thumbs-up to reporters afterward, and Phillies manager Rob Thomson was similarly upbeat about how Suarez checked out during Tuesday's workout. Suarez will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, and assuming that goes well, he's expected to be cleared to start against the Mets this weekend in London. The lefty departed his last outing Saturday versus the Cardinals after being struck on the pitching hand by a comebacker. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:06 pm
    • Seven strong innings in win
Wheeler (7-3) earned the win Monday against Milwaukee, allowing one earned run on five hits and three walks over seven innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Wheeler nearly pitched seven shutout innings, but he surrendered a solo home run to former teammate Rhys Hoskins with two outs in the seventh inning. Wheeler turned in his fourth consecutive quality start Monday, bringing his season total to 10. Wheeler has pitched to a 2.23 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with 91 strikeouts in 80.2 innings this season, all of which rank top 10 in the league. He will look to keep rolling in his next start, tentatively scheduled for next Tuesday in Boston. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:10 pm
    • Zack Wheeler tosses seven innings to beat Brewers
Zack Wheeler yielded one run over seven innings on Monday in a win over the Brewers.

Advice: Wheeler carried a shutout bid into the seventh inning before coughing up a solo shot to former teammate Rhys Hoskins and wound up requiring a season-high 114 pitches (67 strikes) to navigate seven frames. He finished with six strikeouts and also handed out a trio of free passes. The 34-year-old right-hander has been one of the most consistent upper-echelon fantasy starters in the game for the last few years and hasn’t skipped a beat this season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in 11 of his 13 outings. He’ll carry a sparkling 2.23 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 91/26 K/BB ratio across 80 2/3 innings (13 starts) into a road tilt next Tuesday against the Red Sox at historic Fenway Park. Rotoworld Monday, 5:55 pm
    • Set for bullpen session Wednesday
Manager Rob Thomson said Monday that Suarez (hand) will play catch Tuesday and throw a bullpen session Wednesday before the Phillies decide on the left-hander's next step, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Suarez was forced out after just two innings in his most recent start against the Cardinals on Saturday, when he took a 106.1 mile-per-hour line drive off his pitching hand. X-rays cleared Suarez of any structural damage, but he's still dealing with some bruising and swelling that could present some difficulty for the southpaw in commanding his full arsenal. The upcoming bullpen session will represent an important test for Suarez in showing the Phillies' coaching and training staffs that the injury won't affect his pitching. At this stage, Thomson said that Suarez remains in play for his next turn through the rotation, which falls during the Phillies' two-game series with the Mets in London this weekend. • Works into seventh
Bello did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing four runs on eight hits and three walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Bello cruised through the first four in allowing only two baserunners and finished the sixth inning in line for a quality start and the win. For the first time all year, Bello was called upon to go back out for the seventh, but after recording one out, he allowed the next two runners to reach base prior to being pulled, with both runners eventually coming around to score, adversely impacting his final line. It was only the second time this year that Bello has not been involved in the decision. His next opportunity to take the hill will likely come next weekend when Boston travels to Chicago to take on the White Sox. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:06 pm
