• Hitting bench Sunday
McKinstry is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Advice: With southpaw Tyler Anderson on the hill for the Angels, the lefty-hitting McKinstry will duck out of the lineup. Ryan Kreidler will step in for McKinstry at shortstop. Rotowire.com Today, 12:12 pm

  • Regains regular role
Ahmed will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Ahmed will pick up his third consecutive start, with Sunday's assignment coming against a lefty (James Paxton) after the prior two had come versus right-handed pitching. Though he had previously been occupying a short-side platoon role at shortstop with Brett Wisely, Ahmed should have shortstop all to himself for the foreseeable future with Wisely having moved over to second base following Thairo Estrada's (wrist) placement on the injured list Friday. • On bench against lefty
Keith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Keith has gone 2-for-20 over his past five games and will sit Sunday as lefty Tyler Anderson takes the mound for the Halos. Andy Ibanez will man the keystone and bat leadoff in the series finale. Rotowire.com Today, 12:01 pm

  • Hits leadoff homer Saturday
Abrams went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double, a walk, two total runs and two total RBI in an 8-1 win against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Abrams didn't wait long to make his presence felt, swatting a 396-foot homer to lead off the contest. It was the 13th long ball of the campaign for the shortstop, and he's well on pace to surpass the 18 home runs he hit during his first full big-league season last year. Abrams hasn't been as successful as a runner this season -- he's just 13-for-22 in stolen-base attempts after going 47-for-51 in 2023 -- but he's otherwise shown growth in nearly every offensive category, slashing .278/.334/.498 with 20 doubles, five triples, 50 runs and 42 RBI through 328 plate appearances. • Collects two hits, steals base
Turang went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base in a loss to the Cubs on Saturday.

Advice: Turang's speed was on display in the defeat -- he plated the Brewers' first run with an RBI bunt single in the third inning and followed the hit with a steal of second base. The swipe was his 28th of the season, second most in the majors. Fantasy managers should have been aware of Turang's speed coming into the campaign after he swiped 26 bags in 137 games last year, but the second baseman's other offensive stats have been a pleasant surprise. He's slashing .290/.354/.406 with five homers, 33 RBI and 39 runs through 317 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:04 pm

  • Initial X-rays come back negative for Corey Seager
Initial X-rays on the injured left hand/wrist of Corey Seager came back negative for any fractures on Saturday.

Advice: That doesn’t necessarily mean that the coast is clear, as he’ll still undergo additional testing, but it’s very encouraging to hear that there were no fractures revealed on the initial X-rays. Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect Seager to return to action on Sunday, but it sounds like he was fortunate to have avoided any serious injuries this time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:25 pm

  • X-rays on wrist return negative
X-rays on Seager's left wrist came back negative after he exited in the fifth inning of Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles when he was hit by a pitch, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports. He'll undergo further evaluation Sunday.

Advice: Seager went 1-for-2 with a solo home run before his night came to an early end during his third trip to the plate. He looked to be in significant pain when he took a Cade Povich pitch to the wrist, but fortunately, he appears to have avoided any structural damage. Even so, Seager is likely still hurting and shouldn't be expected to return to the lineup for Sunday's series finale in Baltimore. The Rangers will likely see how he's feeling early Sunday before providing an update on his status. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:24 pm

  • Exits after HBP
Seager was hit in the left wrist by a pitch in the fifth inning and immediately exited the game, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Seager was in visible pain after being hit in the wrist area and walked straight back to the dugout. Davis Wendzel entered to run for Seager. Seager went 1-for-2 with a solo homer before the incident, and we should learn more about the injury postgame. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:37 pm

  • Corey Seager (hand) leaves game after hit by pitch
Corey Seager was removed from Saturday’s game against the Orioles after being hit by a pitch on his left hand in the fifth inning.

Advice: On the seventh pitch of his at-bat in the fifth inning, Cade Povich tried to come inside with a 90.5 mph sinker and clipped Seager near his left hand/wrist. Seager immediately retreated to the clubhouse, didn’t make any attempt to stay in the game. He’ll head for X-rays to see if there’s any structural damage. All fantasy managers can do now is wait and hope for the best. The Rangers should have an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:33 pm
