• Oneil Cruz crushes two-run homer in win over ATL
Oneil Cruz hit a two-run homer Sunday in a 4-2 victory for the Pirates over Atlanta.

Advice: Cruz also singled and walked. The 25-year-old absolutely obliterated a 452-foot shot off Spencer Schwellenbach to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead with Jack Suwinski on base at that time. Cruz continues to frustrate in what is essentially his first full season of MLB action, but games like this one remind that there are very few players in the sport who have as much talent. • Surprise addition to lineup
Soto (hand) is starting in right field and batting second Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: The 25-year-old was originally slated to sit Sunday and said he may undergo an MRI or CT scan Monday when the Yankees are back in New York, so his late addition to the lineup is a major surprise. It's unclear if Soto will still require any of the medical imaging, but he's apparently feeling well enough to play despite experiencing some pain and weakness in his bruised right hand Saturday. • Juan Soto (hand) back in starting lineup vs. Jays
Juan Soto (hand) is back in the starting lineup and hitting second while playing right field against the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Advice: Soto was originally not in the lineup, but the 25-year-old is feeling well enough to get back out there after missing Saturday’s contest with a contusion in his hand. It’s most welcome news for fantasy managers who have their superstar back in the lineup. J.D. Davis is back to the bench with Soto returning. Rotoworld Today, 10:36 am

  • Juan Soto (hand) not in lineup against Blue Jays
Juan Soto (hand) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Blue Jays

Advice: Soto will sit after being scratched from Saturday’s lineup with a contusion in his right hand. The 25-year-old outfielder had his imaging come back clean, but he’ll need at least one more day off before having a chance to return to the starting lineup later in the week. J.D. Davis is in the lineup as Soto’s replacement as the designated hitter while Aaron Judge patrols right field. Rotoworld Today, 9:12 am

  • Out Sunday, set for tests on hand
Soto is out of the lineup for Sunday's game in Toronto and said that he may get an MRI or CT scan on his bruised right hand when the Yankees return to New York on Monday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Though Soto will remain on the bench for a second straight game, he said that his hand feels better than it did Saturday, when he was scratched from the lineup ahead of the Yankees' 9-3 loss to the Blue Jays after experiencing pain and weakness while swinging the bat. He plans to swing again prior to Sunday's contest, perhaps indicating that the testing he's slated to undergo Monday will be mostly precautionary in nature. After Monday's off day, the Yankees will return to action with a three-game set against the Reds. Rotowire.com Today, 9:10 am

  • Three hits, RBI in loss
Chapman went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Chapman doubled in his first at-bat before then getting caught trying to steal second. He would then drive home Heliot Ramos with an infield single in the following frame before eventually going on to reach a total of four times in the contest. It marked Chapman's fourth three-hit performance this season and his first since May 18 against the Rockies. The third baseman has also hit safely in six straight games, posting two homers, six RBI and six runs scored over that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 8:38 am

  • Resting against southpaw
Lowe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Lowe will sit for the second time in the series with Washington while the Nationals send another southpaw (Patrick Corbin) to the hill. Jonny DeLuca will pick up the start in right field in Lowe's stead. Rotowire.com Today, 7:32 am

  • Flattened by Friars
Houck (7-6) took the loss Saturday, coughing up eight runs (seven earned) on nine hits -- including three home runs -- and a walk over 4.1 innings as the Red Sox were routed 11-1 by the Padres. He struck out six.

Advice: Manny Machado took him deep twice, while Jackson Merrill also chipped in a long ball. Houck had served up only two homers all season coming into Saturday, and even with this performance, the right-hander sports a 2.67 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 105:19 K:BB through 107.2 innings on the season. He'll try to keep the ball in the park in his next start, but that could be easier said than done as he faces the Yankees on the road next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:18 pm

  • Fans nine in quality start
Nola (9-4) took the loss Saturday, giving up three runs on six hits over 6.2 innings in a 3-2 loss to the Marlins. He struck out nine without walking a batter.

Advice: The veteran right-hander delivered his third straight quality start and 12th of the season on 100 pitches (71 strikes), but Nola let a win slip through his fingers when he served up back-to-back doubles with two outs in the seventh inning, with both coming around to score the final runs of the game. Nola took his first loss since May 8, and he'll carry a 3.43 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 99:25 K:BB through 107.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Atlanta.
