    • Strikes out eight in quality start
Imanaga allowed three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out eight over six innings in a no-decision versus the Phillies.

Advice: Imanaga held his own versus a tough opponent, though he allowed home runs to Rafael Marchan and Alec Bohm. This was Imanaga's fourth quality start in his last five outings, the exception being a 10-run anomaly versus the Mets on June 21. The southpaw is now at a 3.16 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 92:15 K:BB through 91 innings over 16 starts this season. He's projected for another challenging opponent next week when he's lined up to for a road start in Baltimore. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:45 pm

    • Cal Raleigh blasts solo homer in loss to O’s
Cal Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: Raleigh’s solo homer in the sixth inning off Keegan Akin provided the only offense the Mariners could muster on Wednesday against Baltimore. The 27-year-old backstop is hitting .201/.288/.394 with 15 homers, 51 RBI, and four steals across 313 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:42 pm

    • Bobby Witt Jr. on base three times in win
Bobby Witt Jr. went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI, two runs scored, and a walk on Wednesday against the Rays.

Advice: Witt paced the Royals in this one and was the engine for their offense. His third inning double got them on the board and a key walk in the seventh set Salvador Perez up for his huge two-run single to put this game out of reach. Witt remains one of the most productive and dependable players in baseball with a .314/.366/.543 slash line to go along with 13 home runs and 22 stolen bases. That’s not a bad first half for a 24-year-old. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:13 pm

    • Shota Imanaga strikes out eight in no-decision
Shota Imanaga struck out eight and yielded three runs over six innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Phillies.

Advice: Imanaga was cruising along early before giving up a solo homer to Phillies backstop Rafael Marchán in the third inning and a two-run blast to All-Star third baseman Alec Bohm in his final frame of work. He generated 13 swinging strikes and finished with a 28 percent CSW. He’ll carry a sparkling 3.16 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 92/15 K/BB ratio across 91 innings (16 starts) into a tough road tilt against the Orioles on Tuesday in his penultimate outing prior to the All-Star break. • Receiving Wednesday off
O'Hoppe is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: O'Hoppe is in the midst of a modest six-game hit streak and has gone 8-for-19 with two homers and three walks during that span, but he'll sit Wednesday after making five straight starts. Matt Thaiss will step in behind the plate to catch for righty Davis Daniel. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:41 pm

    • Rejoining lineup Wednesday
Martinez (ankle) will be in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: The 36-year-old was scratched from Tuesday's starting nine due to ankle soreness, which apparently surfaced because he was forced to try out a new pair of cleats. Martinez has since received another shipment of his usual cleats and shouldn't have any issues going forward. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:35 pm

    • J.D. Martinez (ankle) returns to lineup Wednesday
J.D. Martinez (ankle) returned to the Mets’ starting lineup for Wednesday’s battle against the Nationals.

Advice: Martinez was scratched from the team’s starting lineup on Tuesday due to soreness in his left ankle — that he got from having to use cleats that were emergency ordered from Amazon. Fortunately, Adidas sent him a couple of pairs before his regular shipment is scheduled to arrive, so he should be good to go on Wednesday. The 36-year-old slugger got off to a slow start with the Mets but has been killing it lately. On the season, he’s slashing .278/.360/.493 with 10 homers and 37 RBI in 56 games. • Hit hard in Tuesday's loss
Cease (7-7) took the loss Tuesday, coughing up six runs on eight hits and two walks over 3.2 innings as the Padres fell 7-0 to the Rangers. He struck out five.

Advice: The right-hander got no help from his offense, but Cease created his own problems by serving up six extra-base hits, including a pair of homers by Nathaniel Lowe. Cease has been tagged for four runs or more in three of his last four starts, walking multiple batters each time. He'll take a 4.24 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 130:32 K:BB through 102 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home this weekend against the Diamondbacks. • Homers in loss
Witt went 1-for-4 with a solo homer during Tuesday's loss to the Rays.

Advice: Witt's home run in the sixth inning cut Tampa Bay's lead to 2-1, but it would also end up being the only way the Royals got on the board in a 5-1 defeat. The 24-year-old shortstop remains one of the most reliable bats in baseball, recording a hit in seven of his last eight games while posting a 1.015 OPS in that span. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:39 am
