    • Lynn hit hard for 11 runs, three homers in loss
Lance Lynn allowed 11 runs (10 earned) in 2 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: Lynn gave up nine hits, walked four and struck out two. Lynn had won back-to-back starts and seemed to be putting together a nice season before it all came crashing down against the Nationals. He allowed three home runs and looked more like he did last year when he had a 5.73 ERA and allowed 44 home runs. Lynn’s ERA increased nearly a full run from 3.59 to 4.48 with this outing. The 37-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cubs at home next weekend.

    • Diaz picks up eighth save against Pirates Saturday
Edwin Diaz tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Diaz slammed the door on the Pirates to preserve a 5-2 victory for New York. The save was his eighth of the season and first since returning from a 10-game suspension for using an illegal foreign substance. The Mets had the league’s worst bullpen ERA while he was out. The team and fantasy managers are happy to see him back out there. Rotoworld Today, 4:32 pm
    • Logan O’Hoppe drives in two runs Saturday
Logan O’Hoppe went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run scored in the Angels’ 7-0 win against the Cubs on Saturday.

Advice: O’Hoppe was hit by a pitch in the first inning, then knocked a base hit to drive in a run in the third before scoring on a throwing error. He was credited with another RBI on a groundout in the fourth, then reached for a third time with a double in the eighth. The 24-year-old backstop is slashing an excellent .279/.331/.473 with 12 homers and 40 RBI across 285 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 1:58 pm

    • Sitting again Saturday
Polanco isn't in Seattle's lineup Saturday versus the Blue Jays.

Advice: Saturday will mark the third straight game that Polanco hasn't started, with Dylan Moore starting at second base for the second time in a row. The 31-year-old has put up a career-low .576 OPS through 208 plate appearances, although he has recorded a base hit in five of his last six games. Rotowire.com Today, 11:23 am

    • Four hits in win
Arenado went 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Friday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Nationals.

Advice: Arenado had one of his best games of the season. Even with his four hits, he remains cold in terms of run production -- he has just two RBI over his last 14 contests. For the year, he's at a .265/.317/.377 slash line with seven home runs, 34 RBI, 32 runs scored, 14 doubles and a stolen base over 81 games. Rotowire.com Today, 10:13 am

    • Returns from suspension
The Mets activated Diaz from his 10-game suspension Saturday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: Diaz was dealt an automatic 10-game suspension June 24 for the use of an illegal substance on the mound, and he'll now reclaim his usual role as New York's closer. The 30-year-old has been met with struggles this season, putting up a 4.70 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 23 innings, but his return will still provide a much-needed boost to the Mets' bullpen, which posted an 8.37 ERA while Diaz was suspended. • Edwin Díaz finishes serving 10-game suspension
Mets activated RHP Edwin Díaz from the restricted list.

Advice: Díaz has finished serving an automatic 10-game suspension handed down by the league after he was ejected back on June 23 for using an illegal foreign substance. The 30-year-old will be back in New York’s bullpen for Saturday’s contest against the Pirates. According to Newsday’s Tim Healey, the Mets’ bullpen recorded a league-worst 8.37 ERA during his absence. Needless to say, his return is going to make a significant impact, even if he’s not back to best closer in the universe status. Rotoworld Today, 8:48 am
    • Swipes 43rd bag
De La Cruz went 1-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Tigers.

Advice: It marked the first time since June 16 that the 22-year-old drew multiple free passes, while the stolen base was his league-leading 43rd of the year -- 15 ahead of second-place Brice Turang. De La Cruz can be streaky, but he's red hot right now, slashing .352/.417/.704 over his last 13 games with 10 extra-base hits (four doubles, three triples and three homers), six steals, eight RBI and 13 runs. • Notches 17th save
Jansen gave up a hit in a scoreless 10th inning Friday to record his 17th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: The veteran closer is on an impressive roll. Jansen has been scored upon only once in his last 14 appearances, racking up two wins and 10 saves on 10 chances over that stretch with a 0.61 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 13:2 K:BB over 14.2 innings. The 36-year-old isn't as dominant as he was during his Dodgers heyday, but Jansen is still finding ways to be effective and he has yet to serve up a home run in 2024. Rotowire.com Today, 6:48 am
