    • Another pair of steals
Doyle went 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases Saturday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Doyle notably hit second in the lineup for the first time since May 4, as Ezequiel Tovar shifted to third as the Rockies deal with several injuries to regular starters. Doyle delivered a strong line, highlighted by a pair of steals to bring his total on the season to 17. He also has two steals in two of his last three starts. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago
    • Works eighth inning
Beeks struck out two without allowing a baserunner across a scoreless inning to earn a hold Saturday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Beeks entered the game in the eighth inning for the second consecutive game, this time clearly in a setup role. He had served as the Rockies' closer for a month prior to allowing five earned runs Wednesday, though he had a disastrous 6.92 ERA and 1.92 WHIP across 13 games in that span. Save chances will likely continue to rotate through members of the team's bullpen, though it appears Tyler Kinley is first in line for the time being. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago

    • Earns fifth win
Abbott (5-5) earned the win over the Cubs on Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and four walks while striking out five over five innings.

Advice: Abbott struggled a bit with his command in this one as he tied a season high with four walks, but he still managed to get through five innings to get the win. Abbott has now won four of his last six starts and has allowed two runs or fewer in 10 of his 13 starts thus far. The 25-year-old lefty has been a key cog in the Reds' rotation this year, and he will take a 3.28 ERA into his start against the first-place Brewers next week. Rotowire.com Today, 6:15 pm
    • Takes loss versus Royals
Castillo (5-7) took the loss to the Royals on Saturday, allowing five runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four over five innings.

Advice: Castillo had a tough outing as he gave up a season-high five runs in his seventh loss of the season. His offense gave him the lead two separate times Saturday, but he gave it back each time as he snapped a streak of 10 straight starts allowing two earned runs or fewer. Castillo remains one of the more consistent and durable starters in baseball, he's gone at least five innings in all of his 14 starts and will take a 3.35 ERA into his next outing. • Abbott picks up fifth win against Cubs Saturday
Andrew Abbott allowed one run in five innings and got the win in the Reds’ 4-3 victory over the Cubs on Saturday.

Advice: Abbott gave up five hits, walked four and struck out five. The win was his fifth in 13 starts this year. He’s now won three of his last four starts. While Abbott has a 3.28 ERA on the season, his xFIP is significantly higher at 4.61. He’s benefitted from a .246 BABIP and 84 percent left on base percentage while striking out only 18 percent of batters this year. Abbott will need to miss more bats to avoid regression over the rest of the season. The 25-year-old left-hander is set to face the Brewers on the road next week.

    • Luis Castillo struggles in loss to Royals
Luis Castillo gave up five runs over five innings while allowing four strikeouts against the Royals on Saturday in a loss.

Advice: Castillo allowed six hits and issued a walk while striking out four. It was easily his worst start since April, as the 31-year-old had gone 10 straight starts while allowing no more than three runs, and only one of those outings saw him give up more than two. It happens. Castillo still has a healthy 3.35 ERA on the season over 14 efforts, and he gets to face the lowly White Sox next week. Rotoworld Today, 3:34 pm

    • Sitting again Saturday
Seager (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Seager will sit for a second straight game after injuring his left hamstring Wednesday against the Tigers. He will be available to pinch hit again Saturday, per Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com. Josh Smith will shift over to shortstop while Ezequiel Duran gets the start at third base against Giants right-hander Spencer Howard. Rotowire.com Today, 9:42 am
