    • Homers in third straight game
Alvarez went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, a walk, three runs and three RBI in a 9-2 victory versus the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Advice: Alvarez was a constant thorn in Toronto's side in the contest. He plated Houston's first run with a third-inning double, added a tiebreaking solo shot in the sixth inning and produced another RBI with a double in the eighth. Alvarez has gone deep in each of his past three contests, batting .545 (6-for-11) with three long balls, eight RBI and six runs over that span. Rotowire.com Today, 12:43 am

    • Swats first homer of season
Marte went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday in a 3-2 win against the Yankees.

Advice: Marte produced the bulk of Cincinnati's offense with his two-run blast in the second inning. That was his first hit in five games since going 3-for-5 in his return from an 80-game suspension June 27. Marte is batting .167 overall since being reinstated, collecting four RBI, five runs and two stolen bases across six contests. Rotowire.com Today, 12:28 am

    • Notched first MLB steal
Wood went 2-for-3 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base in a 7-5 win against the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: Wood was just 1-for-7 over his first two big-league games before notching his first multi-hit performance Wednesday. He also picked up his first big-league run, RBI and stolen base in the contest. Wood showed that he can come through in the clutch, as his seventh-inning RBI single broke a 5-5 tie and proved to be the decisive knock in Washington's win. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:48 pm
    • Yordan Alvarez with three extra-base hits in win
Yordan Alvarez went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, three RBI, three runs scored, and a walk in the Astros’ 9-2 win over the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Advice: Alvarez came into this game ready for Yusei Kikuchi’s fastball and twice put first pitch fastballs in play, once for a homer, and also worked a long at-bat that wound up in a double also off that same fastball. He also sliced another double late off Bowden Francis to break this game open for Houston. Watching him hit is a marvel. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:14 pm

    • Noelvi Marte slugs first homer in win over Yankees
Noelvi Marte walloped a two-run homer on Wednesday, powering the Reds to a 3-2 victory over the Yankees.

Advice: Marte kicked off the scoring on Wednesday evening at Yankee Stadium with a 111.5-mph rocket into the left-field seats off New York starter Carlos Rodón in the second inning. It was his first round-tripper in six games since returning from a league-issued 80-game PED suspension back on June 27. The 22-year-old top prospect continues to show flashes of massive fantasy potential, but he’s gotten off to a pretty slow start as he re-acclimates to everyday life in the majors after an extended layoff. It might not all come together this season, but Marte has the skills to be a four-category fantasy monster in the near future. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:09 pm

    • Gavin Williams hit hard Wednesday in season debut
Gavin Williams was lit up for five runs over four innings on Wednesday in his season debut against the White Sox.

Advice: Williams looked sharp in his final few minor league rehab outings, so this certainly qualifies as an unexpected clunker, especially considering Chicago’s offensive struggles this season. The 24-year-old former top pitching prospect allowed a run-scoring single in the opening frame, but kept the White Sox off the scoreboard into the fourth inning before coughing up four runs on five hits in a disastrous frame. Perhaps the more concerning variable here for fantasy purposes is that he mustered just a pair of strikeouts in his long-awaited season debut. He’ll aim for better results his next time out on Monday against the division-rival Tigers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:18 pm
    • Does light running
Harris (hamstring) began running Wednesday, but there's still no timetable for when he'll be ready for a rehab assignment, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Harris suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain June 14 and was able to do some light running for the first time since sustaining the injury. Considering he still has multiple checkpoints to hit before being sent on a rehab assignment, Harris can safely be ruled out until after the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:01 pm

    • Receiving breather
Bailey is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Bailey will get the day off Wednesday after catching four straight games. Curt Casali will fill in behind the dish and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:41 pm
    • James Wood batting third for Nationals Wednesday
James Wood will start in left field and bat third for the Nationals on Wednesday night against the Mets.

Advice: It only took two games for the 21-year-old phenom to slide into a premium spot in the Nationals’ lineup, and as long as he hits he should remain there indefinitely. The premium spot in the order should lead to ample counting stats to go along with his dazzling blend of power and speed — making him a must-add in all formats for the remainder of the season.
