    • Allows rare run
Clase earned a save over the Giants on Sunday. He gave up a run on one hit in one inning of work.

Advice: Clase coughed up an out-of-character run on a Michael Conforto groundout. Clase was still able to close out the 5-4 win and pick up his 27th save of the year. He's given up just four earned runs through 42.1 innings this season, resulting in a 0.85 ERA. Sunday's outing snapped a nine-inning scoreless streak. Clase has converted 14 straight save chances and is 27 for 30 in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:43 pm
    • Emmanuel Clase earns 27th save
Emmanuel Clase allowed one run on one hit but secured the save in a 5-4 win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Clase allowed a one-out double to Matt Chapman before Chapman advanced to third on a catcher’s interference and then scored on a groundout. Overall, it was a good appearance for Clase, who now has 27 saves to go along with a 0.85 ERA on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:53 pm
    • Picks up seventh win
Lopez (7-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing no runs on two hits and three walks over six innings against the Phillies. He struck out six.

Advice: Lopez dominated once again with his sixth start of the season with five or more innings and zero runs allowed, tying him with Tarik Skubal for the most such appearances in MLB. Lopez lowered his ERA to an MLB-leading 1.71 in the process. It's tied for the fifth-lowest by an Atlanta player in his first 16 starts of a season since 1912 and the lowest since Tom Glavine in 2002. The 30-year-old is already up to 89.2 innings this season, which is his most since 2019, so his workload will be something to monitor in the second half of the season. • Reynaldo López shuts down Phillies, drops ERA to 1.71
Reynaldo López twirled six shutout innings on Sunday in a 6-0 win over the Phillies. He struck out six batters and walked three en route to the win.

Advice: All López does is keep runs off the board. This was the sixth start this season where he didn’t allow an earned run and he hasn’t allowed more than three in any outing. His fastball filled up the zone and his slider put the Phillies’ hitters away. He is a lock for the All-Star team and it’s a bit shocking the White Sox kept him in the bullpen for as long as they did. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:18 pm

    • Checking back into lineup
Smith (glute) will start at third base and bat third in Sunday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Smith had been out of the lineup for the past two days with glute tightness, but he'll be ready to give it a go for the series finale. The 26-year-old will carry a four-game hitting streak into Sunday's contest and is slashing .291/.391/.509 overall wit three home runs, nine RBI and seven runs in his last 15 games. • Red-hot Miranda out of lineup Sunday vs. Houston
Jose Miranda is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: Miranda’s reward for reaching in 12 straight at-bats is a rest Sunday for the series finale against the Astros. The 26-year-old will begin the game on the bench with Matt Wallner getting the start after being recalled from St. Paul. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:19 am

    • Resting after historic streak ends
Miranda is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Miranda will get a breather for the series finale after he recorded a pair of base hits and was hit by a pitch before flying out in his final at-bat of Saturday's 9-3 win. The flyout ended a streak of 13 consecutive plate appearances in which he got on base and 12 consecutive at-bats with a hit, the latter of which tied an MLB record. Miranda still has a 10-game active hitting streak, which he'll presumably put on hold Sunday before he likely returns to the lineup for Monday's series opener against the White Sox. • Josh Smith returning to lineup Sunday vs. Rays
Josh Smith (lower body) is hitting third and playing third base against the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: Smith missed Friday and Saturday’s game due to glute tightness, but he’s well enough to man the hot corner for Sunday’s finale against the Rays with the Rangers looking to procure a sweep. Jonathan Ornelas retreats to the bench with Smith back in action. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:09 am

    • Knocks 10th homer Saturday
Raley went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Raley got the Mariners to within one run in the ninth with his 379-foot solo shot to right field, but Seattle was ultimately unable to force extra innings. The 29-year-old snapped a nine-game power drought with his blast, locking in a double-digit home-run total for the second straight season in the process. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:50 am
