      Advice: Garrett served up a solo homer to Mike Siani in the fifth that turned out to be his only mistake in an otherwise stellar showing. The left-hander didn't issue a walk in his six innings of work, making it the fourth time in his seven starts this season that he didn't allow a free pass. The 26-year-old has been inconsistent this season, as he has allowed 22 runs in four of his starts but has given up just two runs in his other three appearances.       Advice: Lindor wasted no time making an impact Monday; through two innings, he was 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored. He singled and scored again in the fourth inning before capping off his big day with an RBI double in the fifth. It was Lindor's third four-hit game of the year and first since May 30.       Braxton Garrett yielded one run over six innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Cardinals.

      Advice: Garrett recorded six strikeouts and held the Cardinals to just a fifth-inning solo homer by Michael Siani over six strong frames. It was a much-needed rebound effort for the 26-year-old lefty after being tagged for 11 runs (nine earned) over his previous two starts against the Mets and Rays, respectively.       Ozzie Albies went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Tigers on Monday.

      Advice: The home run was Albies’ fifth of the season. His blast off Shelby Miller with two outs in the eighth inning was the difference in the 2-1 victory for Atlanta.       Luzardo said that he pitched through a stiff back in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Nationals, Bally Sports Florida reports.

      Advice: The southpaw got the hook after gutting out five innings and 77 pitches, but Luzardo clearly didn't have his best stuff, and his velocity was down about two miles per hour. The Marlins haven't provided any indication that he will miss his next turn in the rotation, which lines up to come Saturday against the Mariners.       Eflin did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk over 5.2 innings against Atlanta. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Eflin entered the sixth inning with a four-run lead, but after retiring the first two batters in the frame, he allowed four consecutive singles and was removed one out shy of completing six full innings. The seven strikeouts marked a season high for Eflin, who had failed to record more than three strikeouts during any of his previous five starts. He'll carry a 4.12 ERA and 1.17 WHIP into his next start, currently slated to take place over the weekend when the Rays travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates.       Cease (6-6) took the loss as he went 3.2 innings, giving up seven runs on seven hits and three walks Sunday versus the Mets.

      Advice: From the jump, Cease just didn't have his best stuff Sunday, as he allowed the first four hitters to score after serving up homers to Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso. The 28-year-old gave up a season-high seven runs in what was his shortest outing of the campaign. After pitching to a 2.19 ERA over his first eight starts, the righty has run into a rough patch, giving up at least three runs in six of his last seven starts and seeing his ERA climb to 3.95 in the process.       Advice: On the third pitch he saw, Lindor took Dylan Cease deep for his first leadoff homer since 2019. It was his 12th home run this season and the third in his last nine games. Lindor has been on a steady climb for about a month now with an average of .303 over his last 25 games.
