      Advice: Gorman opened the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning and also provided the Cardinals with their winning run by adding an RBI single in the 10th. This was his fourth multi-hit effort over the last nine games, a span in which he's gone 11-for-32 (.344) with four homers and 10 RBI. He's up to a .223/.310/.457 slash line, 11 long balls, 28 RBI, 25 runs scored and two stolen bases through 51 contests. Gorman has been a near-everyday player lately, though the Cardinals called up Jose Fermin on Friday for infield depth, which could lead to Gorman sitting out against some southpaws moving forward.       Holmes threw a scoreless inning to earn a save against the Giants on Sunday.

      Advice: Holmes quickly finished off the 7-5 win Sunday, needing just 12 pitches to retire San Francisco's 2-3-4 hitters in order. He began the year without allowing an earned run through 20 innings before coughing up four in a brutal outing against Seattle on May 20.     • Nolan Gorman homers, plates three to lead Cards
      Nolan Gorman went 2-for-4, homered and drove in three runs on Sunday night as the Cardinals triumphed over the Phillies 5-4 in 10 innings.

      Advice: Gorman got the scoring started with a bang, crushing a 367-foot (108.6 mph EV) two-out, two-run shot off of Phillies’ right-hander Taijuan Walker in the opening frame. He then smacked a two-out go-ahead RBI single off of Gregory Soto to give the Cardinals the lead in the 10th inning.       Aaron Judge singled twice, walked twice and swiped a pair of bases as the Yankees rallied to defeat the Giants on Sunday afternoon in San Francisco.

      Advice: Judge singled off of Blake Snell in the opening inning and stole second base, but the Yankees were unable to cash him in. He also drew a walk during the Bombers’ four-run rally in the ninth inning, swiped second base, took third on a throwing error and scored on an RBI double off the bat of Giancarlo Stanton.     • Clay Holmes slams door on Giants on Sunday
      Clay Holmes slammed the door on the Giants in the ninth inning on Sunday, protecting a two-run lead to earn his 17th save of the season.

      Advice: The Yankees rallied for four runs off of Giants’ closer Camilo Doval in the top half of the ninth inning to take the lead and Holmes did his job to make sure that it stood up. He needed just 12 pitches (eight strikes) to retire Brett Wisely, Wilmer Flores and Matt Chapman in order to end it. The 31-year-old hurler has been spectacular this season, compiling a 1.37 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 27/8 K/BB ratio across 26 1/3 innings while nabbing 17 saves and a victory.     • Luis Castillo dominates in victory over Angels
      Luis Castillo delivered a dominant performance in Sunday afternoon’s victory over the Angels, allowing just two hits and three walks over seven shutout innings.

      Advice: Castillo piled up six strikeouts in the impressive outing. The only real threat against him came in the fourth inning as the Angels used a pair of walks to put two men on with two outs for Jo Adell — who Castillo got to fly out harmlessly to center field. The 31-year-old hurler generated a staggering 21 swings and misses on 102 pitches in the contest — 13 of them on his fastball alone — while posting a strong CSW of 30 percent. Now 5-6 on the season, Castillo will carry a tidy 2.99 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and an 81/22 K/BB ratio (78 1/3 innings) into Saturday’s showdown against the Royals in Kansas City.       Castillo (5-6) allowed two hits and three walks while striking out six over seven scoreless innings to earn the win over the Angels on Sunday.

      Advice: Castillo's gone seven innings in three of his 13 starts this season, and he's kept runs off the board in the each of those outings. He allowed four runs in each of his first three starts of the season, but he hasn't given up more than three runs in any of his last 10 appearances, nine of which went down as quality starts.     • Nico Hoerner has two hits in loss to Reds
      Nico Hoerner went 2-for-5 with a run scored in a loss to the Reds on Sunday.

      Advice: Hoerner has been slowly increasing his batting average in recent weeks and is up to .262/.351/.366 on the season; however, he didn’t attempt a stolen base today and has just six on the season. After stealing 43 bases last year, it’s discouraging to see Hoerner not running as often. It could partially be a hamstring issue he’s been dealing with or a new philosophy under manager Craig Counsell, but since Hoerner doesn’t have much power, his fantasy value will take a big hit if he’s only a 25-stolen-base hitter who will hit .270-.280. If you need the steals, you should still keep Hoerner in your lineup, but if you’re OK on speed and somebody makes a compelling offer, he could be a player you’re OK parting with.       Cedric Mullins went 0-for-4 before being lifted for a pinch-hitter Sunday versus the Rays.

      Advice: It says a lot that the Orioles hit for Mullins against a righty. The team hoped he was breaking out of his slump a couple of weeks ago, but he’s 1-for-20 with a 7/0 K/BB ratio since May 24, dropping his season line to .181/.225/.319. He’s a tough guy to drop in fantasy leagues, since he can be very valuable when he’s on (he just had six homers and six steals in April), but this is ugly right now.
