    • Another day, another homer
Seager went 1-for-3 with a walk, a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Seager, whom the Diamondbacks chose to issue an intentional walk with runners on in the third inning, didn't get a free pass in the fifth inning and paid for it. He got a hold of a first-pitch cutter and sent it over the fence in right field. It was his eighth home run over the last eight games and extended a hit streak to 12 contests. • Records fourth steal
Contreras went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 10-6 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Contreras has been held hitless just five times over 26 games in May, going 31-for-104 (.298) for the month. The catcher is up to a .323/.394/.509 slash line with eight home runs, four steals, 43 RBI, 45 runs scored, 15 doubles and a triple in 55 contests, so this month has actually been a bit of a cooling off compared to how he started the season. He's been able to have an everyday role between catcher and designated hitter as one of the best overall batters in baseball this season. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:06 pm
    • Corey Seager hits eighth homer in last eight games
Corey Seager homered for the third consecutive contest on Wednesday, and eighth time over his last eight games, powering the Rangers to a 6-1 victory over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Seager remained sizzling-hot at the dish on Wednesday afternoon at Globe Life Field in a rematch of last year’s Fall Classic, taking Arizona starter Ryne Nelson out to right field in the fifth inning for a two-run blast. It was his 13th round-tripper of the season and lone hit in three at-bats in this one, although he did manage to draw a free pass as well. The 30-year-old fantasy superstar has gone deep a whopping eight times over his last eight games since May 19. He’s raised his full-season OPS from .681 to .828 during that span. Unreal. • Idle against southpaw
Frelick is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Frelick will take a seat for the second time in three days while the Cubs bring another tough southpaw in National League Cy Young Award candidate Shota Imanaga to the hill. Jackson Chourio will get the call in right field while Frelick heads to the bench. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:19 pm

    • Jose Caballero getting night off on Wednesday
Jose Caballero is absent from the Rays’ starting lineup for Wednesday night’s tilt against the Athletics.

Advice: It looks to be just a routine night off for the speedy 27-year-old shortstop. Amed Rosario will start in his place and will bat seventh against Athletics’ right-hander Joey Estes on Wednesday evening in Tampa Bay. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:32 pm
    • Receives day off
Caballero is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Athletics, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Caballero will get a day off after striking out 23 times over his last 53 plate appearances. Amed Rosario will get the start at shortstop Wednesday while Caballero receives some rest. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:21 pm
    • Resumes swinging bat
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Wednesday that Jung (wrist) "looks great" after resuming hitting, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Jung was cleared to hit Tuesday following a visit with the doctor that performed the surgery on his right wrist in early April. He hit for a second straight day Wednesday while using a lighter bat, with Bochy saying afterward that "you'd think he was going to be ready in a couple of days" based on how he looked. Jung is not going to be ready to return soon, of course, but this is an encouraging progress report. A clearer timetable for the third baseman could be established in the coming days. • Heading to bench Wednesday
Baty is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Baty was in the lineup for three of the last four games with the Mets facing four right-handed starting pitchers, but he'll give way to the righty-hitting Mark Vientos on Wednesday while southpaw James Paxton takes the hill for the Dodgers. Vientos should continue to regularly replace the lefty-hitting Baty when the Mets face lefties, but the distribution of starts at third base between the two against right-handed pitching still looks to be up in the air. Baty has helped his cause by getting on base five times in 12 plate appearances over his last three starts, but Vientos owns a 1.085 OPS since his May 15 call-up from Triple-A Syracuse to keep himself in the mix for starts against righties. • Taking seat Wednesday
Moreno is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Rangers.

Advice: Moreno started the last two contests at catcher but will get a breather for Wednesday's afternoon game. Tucker Barnhart and Ryne Nelson will form the Diamondbacks' battery. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:26 am
