    • Wraps up huge June with three hits
Merrill went 3-for-4 with a double and a run in Sunday's loss to Boston.

Advice: Merrill was the only Padre to notch multiple hits in the contest, and he scored the team's only run after belting a one-out double in the seventh inning. The rookie finished June with back-to-back three-hit games, with half of his knocks during the pair of contests going for extra bases. Merrill swung a hot bat for most of the month, and he finished June with a .320/.346/.650 slash line along with nine home runs, 20 RBI, 17 runs and two stolen bases. Rotowire.com Today, 8:39 am

    • Blake: RodĂłn working to adjust gameplan
Yankees pitching coach Matt Blake said Carlos Rodón is working to adjust his approach as team’s key on hitting his fastball.

Advice: Speaking to The Athletic, Matt Blake said he doesn’t have long-term concerns with Rodón despite the left-hander allowing 20 earned runs and a 1.253 OPS in his last three outings. “I think it’s being ready to adapt your plan early because it’s clear that teams that can hit the fastball are targeting him early,” Blake said. “There are more guys like him who throw the ball hard with good profiles and... there’s just less room for error with that stuff. Even if that’s how you got paid, that’s not necessarily your map for success down the road. The more we can adjust and adapt to the league and the sooner we can do that, the easier it is...You’re not asking him to be crafty, but you’ve got to have a better rhythm than that.” Rotoworld Today, 8:25 am
    • Homers for team's only run
Gelof went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Gelof gave the A's their lone run of the day when he took Brandon Pfaadt deep to right-center in the fifth. It was his ninth long ball of the year and sixth overall in June. Overall, it's been a disappointing season for the second-year player, but his bat woke up a bit over the latter part of the month. In 11 games since June 18, Gelof slashed .275/.310/.625 with four homers, eight RBI and eight runs scored, which has been his most productive stretch of the season thus far. • Ready for rehab assignment
Amador (oblique) was sent to Double-A Hartford on Sunday to begin a rehab assignment.

Advice: Amador has been on the 10-day injured list for a little over a week with a strained oblique but has been cleared to return to game action. He should be ready to be activated soon, but with Brendan Rodgers beating him back from the IL, Amador is likely to remain with Hartford upon his activation rather than returning to the Rockies. • Stays hot Sunday
Pasquantino went 3-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Guardians.

Advice: Pasquantino has gone 11-for-27 (.407) with nine RBI across his last seven games, ending June on a high note. The first baseman's recent surge has him up to a .247/.321/.436 slash line for the year, nearly identical to his marks over 61 contests in 2023. He's added 10 home runs, 55 RBI, 39 runs scored, 21 doubles and two triples through 82 games this year, playing on a near-everyday basis between first base and designated hitter. • Reaches 30-save milestone
Helsley struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save over Cincinnati on Sunday.

Advice: Helsley efficiently rolled through the Reds' 2-3-4 hitters with just 10 pitches. He extended his MLB save lead and became the first pitcher in the 2024 season to reach 30 saves. He's converted those 30 saves consecutively after blowing his first opportunity of the year March 30. Helsley is sporting a 2.61 ERA with a 46:16 K:BB through 38 innings. • Strikes out two in scoreless inning
Kopech struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Sunday against the Rockies. The game was tied at the time, and the White Sox would go on to lose in 14 innings.

Advice: Kopech made his third appearance in four days after recording back-to-back saves June 27 and June 28. The right-hander delivered Sunday, retiring the side in order while striking out two batters on just eight pitches. The 28-year-old now owns a 2.25 ERA with two saves over his past eight innings, solidifying himself as the White Sox's closer. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:37 pm

    • Zack Gelof hits ninth homer in loss to D-backs
Zack Gelof blasted a solo homer on Sunday in the Athletics’ loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Gelof took Arizona starter Brandon Pfaadt deep to right-center field in the fifth inning for his ninth round-tripper of the season. The 24-year-old got off to an excruciatingly-slow start this season at the dish, but has come alive a little bit over the last few weeks, batting .259 with four homers and two steals in his last 15 games. • Paul Sewald lowers ERA to 0.54 on Sunday
Paul Sewald struck out two in a perfect ninth inning on Sunday against the Athletics.

Advice: It was a non-save situation, with Arizona leading by four runs entering the final frame, but Sewald remained locked-in nonetheless, needing just 13 pitches (11 strikes) to end the game. The 34-year-old righty has reeled off 17 consecutive scoreless appearances since giving up one run back on May 7 in his season debut. He’s converted all 11 of his save chances this season and boasts a microscopic 0.54 ERA, 0.48 WHIP and 15/3 K/BB ratio across 16 2/3 innings (18 appearances). Simply put, he’s still one of the top closers in the entire fantasy landscape. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:52 pm
