    • Clubs homer Tuesday
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Tuesday in a 4-3 win against the White Sox.

Advice: Freeman's two-run shot in the third inning tied the game at 3-3, and Shohei Ohtani's RBI single one frame later provided the decisive run. The long ball was Freeman's sixth in a superb June during which he's slashed .338/.433/.650 with 15 RBI, 19 runs, two stolen bases and a 14:12 BB:K. The veteran first baseman is tied for fourth in the league with 47 walks on the season, and his 13.7-percent walk rate is on pace for a career-best mark, excluding the abbreviated 60-game 2020 campaign. • Spencer Torkelson homers twice in Triple-A game
Spencer Torkelson went 3-for-4 with two homers and six RBI for Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday.

Advice: Torkelson had some nice games immediately after being sent down by the Tigers, but he was in the midst of a two-week slump before breaking out of it last night. Overall, he’s at .274/.372/.452 with three homers in 18 games for Toledo. The Tigers might give him another opportunity soon, but there’s a good argument that Parker Meadows, who has hit .285/.378/.519 since his demotion, is more deserving at this point. • Tallies three hits
Mountcastle went 3-for-5 with a double and one run scored in Tuesday's 10-8 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Mountcastle has four multi-hit efforts over his last seven games, going 11-for-28 (.393) in that span. While he hasn't hit a homer since June 7, he's still been consistent at the plate while occupying a starting role at first base. The 27-year-old is slashing .281/.325/.476 with 11 homers, 39 RBI, 43 runs scored, 21 doubles, one triple and two stolen bases over 74 games this season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:54 pm

    • Alec Bohm posts four hits, homers in victory
Alec Bohm went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Monday in the Phillies’ lopsided win over the Tigers.

Advice: Bohm capped off Philadelphia’s four-run explosion in the opening frame with a two-run shot -- his ninth big fly of the season -- off Tigers starter Casey Mize. He also added an RBI double in the late stages of Monday’s blowout at Comerica Park to finish off an impressive four-hit performance. The 27-year-old corner infielder has been a key contributor in the heart of the Phillies’ lineup this season with the best year of his career so far, batting .313 (92-for-294) with nine homers, 64 RBI and four steals across 76 games. • Exiting lineup Monday
Mountcastle is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Mountcastle appears to be getting a routine breather for the series opener versus the Guardians after he had started in each of Baltimore's last nine games while slashing .282/.310/.385 with seven RBI and six runs. With Mountcastle taking a seat, Ryan O'Hearn will pick up a start at first base. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:43 am

Freeman went 2-for-5 with a solo home run Thursday in a 5-3 win against Colorado.

Advice: Freeman accounted for the Dodgers' final run of the contest with his fourth-inning solo shot to center field. The veteran first baseman is up to 11 long balls on the season, with five of them coming in June. Freeman has added to his standout month with a .354 average, 12 RBI, 17 runs, two stolen bases and a 14:10 BB:K through 18 games. Rotowire.com Thursday, 11:22 pm
    • Three hits, four RBI in win
Mountcastle went 3-for-6 with two doubles, four RBI and three runs scored in Thursday's win over the Yankees while also drawing a walk.

Advice: Mountcastle increased Baltimore's lead to six runs with a three-run double in the second before also coming around to score later in the frame. He would go on to reach base four times in the game while also driving in another run, matching his season high with four RBI. The first baseman has now recorded multiple hits in back-to-back contests and extended his hitting streak to five games with Thursday's performance. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:07 pm
