    • Robert Jr. has double, two walks in loss Monday
Luis Robert Jr. went 1-for-2 with a double and two walks against the Dodgers on Monday.

Advice: Robert Jr. only has 91 at-bats this season, but he’s hitting .198 with a 35 percent strikeout percentage. For one of the most talked about potential trade pieces in baseball, he’s really had a rough season. Robert Jr.'s BABIP is only .217, which is well below his career .328 BABIP, but he still needs to cut his strikeouts. Maybe the two walks show that he’s seeing it better at the plate and he can start to turn his season around with a little more than a month before the trade deadline. • Plays catch from 90 feet
Ohtani (elbow) played catch from 90 feet Monday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Advice: Ohtani is throwing from 90 feet for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery last September. He continues to progress in his rehab with no issues, and he's certainly shown no ill effects at the plate as a result of his ongoing recovery from the elbow issue. The Dodgers haven't ruled out the possibility of Ohtani playing the outfield at some point in 2024, though that still seems like a long shot. He will continue to serve as the club's designated hitter, with an eye on resuming two-way duties in 2025. Rotowire.com Jun 24, 4:12 pm

    • Stress reaction sends Fernando Tatis Jr. to IL
Padres placed OF Fernando Tatis Jr. on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to June 22, with a right femoral stress reaction.

Advice: That’s better than a stress fracture, but it’s not great. The Padres will likely go to Bryce Johnson in right field most days, but he’s not going to replace Tatis’s production. Tatis was hitting .279/.354/.468 with 14 homers in 345 plate appearances. Rotoworld Jun 24, 3:54 pm

    • Lands on IL with quad injury
The Padres placed Tatis on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a femoral stress reaction in his right quadricep.

Advice: Tatis missed the last two games with a triceps injury after being hit in the left arm by a pitch Friday, and he will now be sidelined with a separate quadriceps injury. His stint on the IL would line up with a return in early July, but it's possible the 25-year-old will be held out longer than that -- until perhaps after the All-Star break, per Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune. Tatis is slashing .279/.354/.468 with 14 home runs and 36 RBI over 345 plate appearances and an .822 OPS. Rotowire.com Jun 24, 3:44 pm

    • Fernando Tatis Jr. to land on IL with quad injury
Fernando Tatis Jr. is going on the IL with a slight stress reaction in his quad, according to manager Mike Shildt.

Advice: That’s another big loss for the Padres offense, especially given the alternatives in right field. The Padres are bringing up Bryce Johnson and likely will give him a lot of playing time for at least the next couple of weeks. Rotoworld Jun 24, 3:32 pm

    • Lifts seventh homer
Vientos went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Vientos has two homers over his last four contests after going deep in the eighth inning Sunday. The third baseman is up to seven long balls, 18 RBI, 19 runs scored, six doubles and no stolen bases while slashing .289/.344/.526 over 125 plate appearances. Vientos has been operating in a starting role at the hot corner since Brett Baty was demoted to Triple-A Syracuse at the end of May. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 8:25 pm

    • Homer, steal in win
Lindor went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, a hit-by-pitch and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Lindor opened the scoring with his third-inning blast. The shortstop has been showcasing all of his skills in June, going 21-for-76 (.276) with four homers, five steals and 10 RBI over 19 contests this month. It's a strong turnaround for the 30-year-old, who is slashing .241/.310/.433 with 13 homers, 39 RBI, 49 runs scored, 20 doubles and 13 steals through 76 games overall. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 8:16 pm

    • Provides offense Sunday
Morel went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Morel provided all of Chicago's offense with his 15th home run of the season in the seventh inning. The 24-year-old has hit 15 or more homers in each of his three MLB seasons to date, including a career high 26 long balls last year in 107 games. Assuming he stays healthy, Morel could surpass that figure in 2024 as the team is still a few games shy of the season's midpoint. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 7:27 pm

    • Francisco Lindor homers, swipes bag to lead Mets
Francisco Lindor clobbered a two-run homer and stole a base on Sunday night, helping to lead the Mets to a 5-2 victory over the Cubs in Chicago.

Advice: Lindor opened the scoring in the ballgame with a 378-foot (101.4 mph EV) two-run blast after an eight-pitch battle with Javier Assad in the third inning. He was also hit by a pitch in the fifth inning and swiped second base before getting stranded at third. The 30-year-old shortstop finished the evening 1-for-4 and is now hitting .241/.310/.433 with 13 homers, 39 RBI and 13 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Jun 23, 7:22 pm
