    • Logs steal in win
Witt went 1-for-3 with two walks, one stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 10-3 win over the Guardians.

Advice: Witt went 10 games without a steal and hit just .184 (7-for-38) in that span. While that's a rare cold stretch for the shortstop, he salvaged it by knocking five extra-base hits in that span. Witt is up to 22 steals this year while adding 12 home runs, 53 RBI, 63 runs scored and a .310/.363/.531 slash line over 84 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:51 pm

    • Swipes 14th bag
Lindor went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 7-2 win over the Astros.

Advice: The veteran shortstop has flipped the switch in the second half of June. Lindor has racked up three straight multi-hit performances, and over the last 11 contests he's batting a scorching .370 (17-for-46) with two of his 13 homers and four of his 14 steals on the season, along with seven doubles, eight RBI and 12 runs. • Hit hard by Mets
Blanco (8-3) took the loss Friday as the Astros were downed 7-2 by the Mets, surrendering six runs (three earned) on six hits -- including three home runs -- and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: It was a tough night for the right-hander, who served up multiple long balls for the first time since May 3 and got tagged for three for the first time in his career. Despite his struggles keeping the ball in the park, Blanco nearly escaped with his fourth straight quality start thanks to an Alex Bregman error, but he fell one out short and got the hook after 98 pitches (65 strikes). Blanco will take a 2.49 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 84:37 K:BB through 90.1 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next week in Toronto. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:23 pm

    • Ronel Blanco can’t overcome red-hot Mets
Ronel Blano was pulled after 5 2/3 innings after allowing six runs, three earned, on Friday against the Mets. He struck out five and walked three in a loss.

Advice: Blanco pitched fine Friday. His three unearned runs came as a result of an Alex Bregman two-out error that allowed Jeff McNeil to sneak a ball just over the right field fence in the next at-bat. That was the Mets’ third home run of the game as Tyrone Taylor and Pete Alonso also left the yard. He still missed plenty of bats with 12 whiffs on the day and would have earned his fourth straight quality start if Bregman had fielded that ground ball cleanly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:21 pm

    • Devin Williams (back) to throw bullpen Saturday
Devin Williams (back) is scheduled to throw another bullpen session on Saturday.

Advice: The 29-year-old hurler felt great after his first bullpen session, so he’ll continue to ramp up as long as he’s feeling good. He’s also tentatively scheduled to throw his first live batting practice on July 9, assuming that he doesn’t suffer any setbacks along the way. If things go according to plan, he could be ready to return to the Brewers’ bullpen immediately following the All-Star break. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:22 pm

    • Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hand) sits after hit-by-pitch
Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hand) was held out of the Marlins’ starting lineup on Friday after being hit by a pitch on Thursday.

Advice: X-rays came back negative for any fractures, but the 26-year-old outfielder was still a bit sore on Friday so the decision was made to hold him out of action. Chisholm will be available off the Marlins’ bench on Friday and is expected to return to the starting lineup on Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:41 pm

    • Another bullpen coming
Williams threw 20 pitches during a bullpen session Wednesday and is scheduled for another 20-pitch session over the weekend, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Williams utilized his full arsenal during Wednesday's session and is on track to throw off a mound again this weekend. Additionally, Williams is scheduled to progress to live batting practice July 9. He's on track to be back with the Brewers after the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:47 pm

    • Taking seat Friday
Chisholm is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: Chisholm had made seven consecutive starts, so Friday's absence can be chalked up to a rest day for the center fielder. Bryan De La Cruz, Vidal Brujan and Dane Myers fill the outfield from left to right. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:26 pm

    • Marlins sit Chisholm, Sánchez against tough lefty
The Marlins have both Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Jesús Sánchez on the bench for Friday’s game against Cristopher Sánchez and the Phillies.

Advice: Both players have been starting against most southpaws as of late, but Cristopher Sánchez has really carved up left-handed hitters this year, limiting them to a .459 OPS. As a result, Vidal Bruján is getting the start in center, and Dane Myers, making his first start since June 15, is playing right. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:23 pm
