    • Launches 18th homer
Santander went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: The 29-year-old spoiled a combined shutout bid for New York when he took Clay Holmes deep in the top of the ninth inning. Santander has slugged four homers in the last four games, continuing a massive June that has seen him slash .292/.347/.738 with nine of his 18 long balls on the season. Rotowire.com 54 minutes ago

    • Clubs homer No. 10
Burleson went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 9-8 extra-inning loss to the Marlins.

Advice: The 25-year-old's shot off Roddery Munoz in the fourth inning was the third of three long balls by the Cardinals on the night, but the offense managed only one more run after that. Burleson is up to 10 homers on the season, and five of them have come in June. Despite the power surge, however, he's slashing just .254/.286/.507 in 70 plate appearances this month, and has produced just seven RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 6:30 am

    • Solid in no-decision
Bassitt didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Boston, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Bassitt allowed fewer than four runs for a ninth consecutive start, stranding five Red Sox across six innings. The 35-year-old surrendered at least seven hits for the fourth time this season but wound up generating his seventh quality start of the campaign. Through 64.1 innings, Bassitt owns a 3.52 ERA and an 81:34 K:BB. He's tentatively scheduled for a rematch with the Red Sox in Boston early next week. Rotowire.com Today, 5:05 am

    • Sal Frelick scores twice, makes game-saving catch
Sal Frelick went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored against the Angels on Tuesday.

Advice: Even more importantly, he robbed Taylor Ward of what appeared to be a game-tying homer in the ninth. With Gerritt Mitchell getting close to returning, it’s appeared for these last couple of weeks that one of Frelick or Jackson Chourio was going to get sent down to Triple-A before the end of June. Chourio has really picked it up offensively this month, while Frelick, at .250/.298/.273 in June, has continued to struggle. Frelick, though, does have the clear edge defensively, if that counts. It’s also notable that the Brewers picked both Frelick and Chourio over Blake Perkins for the NL All-Star ballot, even though Perkins has obviously been more effective than the other two so far. It’ll be interesting to see how the Brewers choose to handle things when Mitchell is activated. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:20 pm

    • Improves to 6-5
Miller (6-5) earned the win Tuesday against the Guardians, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: It was another solid outing from Miller, who's now allowed just two earned runs over 12.2 innings in his last two starts. While he's been inconsistent at times this year, the 25-year-old Miller has turned in a respectable 3.46 ERA with a 1.01 WHIP and 82:26 K:BB across 15 starts (88.1 innings). Miller will look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently lined up for this weekend in Miami. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:49 pm

    • Bassitt allows two earned runs in loss to Red Sox
Chris Bassitt allowed two earned runs over six innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Despite allowing nine baserunners on the evening, Bassitt managed to hold the Red Sox to just two earned runs, and pitched out of a jam with runners on to close out the sixth inning. The veteran righty continues to be a solid option in the middle of the Jays’ rotation, and has allowed just four earned runs over 18 innings in the month of June. Bassitt will get another crack at the Red Sox in his next start on Monday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:33 pm

    • Santander hits 18th homer as O’s fall to Yanks
Anthony Santander went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Santander broke up a shutout in the ninth inning when he homered off Clay Holmes, who was brought on in a non-save situation. After getting off to a slow start, Santander has heated up in a big way as of late. The veteran right fielder is slashing .292/.347/.738 in the month of June with nine home runs and 16 RBI. • Bryce Miller survives in win over Guardians
Bryce Miller allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits in 5 2/3 innings in a win over the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Miller walked two and struck out two on the day. He had just six whiffs on 43 swings on the day, leading to a 14 percent whiff rate and 22 percent CSW on the day. The only pitch Miller recorded a whiff on all day was his fastball with his other pitches getting zero whiffs on 16 combined swings. The 25-year-old has a solid 3.46 ERA on the year, but the secondaries have yet to develop in a way that gives us confidence in his swing-and-miss upside this season. He remains a solid fantasy option and should be in for a good start against the Marlins this weekend, but it may take a pitch mix change to unlock the strikeouts that will give him a higher fantasy ceiling. • Burleson has two hits, HR in loss
Alec Burleson went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored in a loss to the Marlins on Tuesday.

Advice: It was Burleson’s 10th home run of the season to go along with 25 RBIs. It’s also his fifth home run in June alone. The 25-year-old continues to make a lot of contact while hitting near the top of the Cardinal’s lineup and with the power starting to tick up, he deserves to be in fantasy lineups in almost all league types.
