    • Hit streak reaches double digits
Seager went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 3-0 win over Tampa Bay.

Advice: Seager lashed a two-run double in the third inning then came around to score on a Nathaniel Lowe single. The double extended Seager's hit streak to 10 games, during which he's 13-for-38 (.342) with five doubles, a home run, five RBI and five additional runs. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago

    • Shaky but records save
Foley allowed two runs on four hits but managed to secure the save in Friday's 5-4 win over the Reds.

Advice: Foley started the ninth inning with a 5-2 lead but was generally ineffective as he allowed Cincinnati back into the game before eventually escaping. Despite the blip, the righty has been mostly solid this year, compiling a 3.26 ERA across 30.1 innings and recording 14 saves in 16 chances. Foley isn't the most exciting option, but as long as he remains the closer in Detroit, he'll maintain fantasy value. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago
    • Earns win Friday
Olson (3-8) allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits over 5.2 innings to earn the win Friday against the Reds. He walked two and struck out eighth.

Advice: While Reese's record isn't great, he's actually pitched quite well this season with a 3.22 ERA. The righty has been even better lately, posting a 1.88 ERA with 28 strikeouts across 24 innings in his last four starts. Reese was solid as a rookie last year as well, posting a 3.99 ERA over 21 games (18 starts), so it looks like he firmly belongs at this level. He'll look to keep up his strong recent play in his next scheduled start, which is penciled in for Wednesday against the Guardians. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago
    • Josh Hader gives up grand slam before earning save
Josh Hader recorded his 15th save despite giving up a grand slam to one of the two batters he faced in the ninth Friday against the Twins.

Advice: Carlos Correa hit the slam to make it a 13-12 game, but Hader then struck out Manuel Margot to end it. The homer was the seventh allowed by Hader in 39 innings, but since none of the runners on base belonged to him, his ERA only slightly increased to 3.92. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:53 pm

    • Carlos Correa hits grand slam in loss to Astros
Carlos Correa hit his third career grand slam Friday against the Astros.

Advice: The slam was off Josh Hader in the ninth, but the Twins still came up a little short after scoring seven runs in the final frame of a 13-12 loss. It was Correa’s 11th homer this year., and he’s been one of the AL’s best players while batting .307/.377/.514. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:53 pm

    • Shane Baz takes loss to Rangers in 2024 debut
Shane Baz took a loss after allowing three runs in six innings Friday against the Rangers in his 2024 debut.

Advice: Baz allowed four singles and one double in the third, resulting in all three runs. He gave up just two additional hits and wound up with six strikeouts and one walk in the quality start. Unfortunately, quality starts aren’t enough for Rays pitchers this season, as the offense has proven incapable of scoring consistently. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:22 pm
    • Escapes with 15th save
Hader picked up a save in Friday's 13-12 win against the Twins. He faced two batters, allowing one run on one hit while striking out one.

Advice: Hader likely didn't expect to enter Friday's contest as the Astros held a 13-5 lead entering the ninth. However, Luis Contreras allowed three runs and then loaded the bases, forcing the call to the Houston closer. Hader allowed a grand slam to Carlos Correa to bring the Twins within one before fanning Manuel Margot for his 15th save of the campaign. The Houston southpaw now sports a 3.92 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 61:11 K:BB across 39 total innings while going 15-for-16 in save chances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:26 pm

    • Fills stat sheet in loss
Garcia went 4-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base in a 7-6 extra-innings loss to the Cardinals on Friday.

Advice: Garcia hit an RBI single in the first inning, a solo home run in the third and another single in the eighth. He later added another base hit and stole second in the 10th frame. The 24-year-old followed up a two-homer game July 3 with his second four-hit effort of the season. While he continues to sit against left-handed pitching, Garcia is hitting .271 with 10 homers, 42 RBI, 29 runs scored and 12 steals in a quietly productive 2024. • Loses despite quality start
Baz (0-1) allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings Friday, striking out six and taking the loss against the Rangers.

Advice: Making his first MLB appearance since July 10, 2022, Baz delivered a quality start on 92 pitches. He looked impressive outside of an ugly three-run third inning. His fastball averaged 96.2 mph and topped out at 99.1. Baz posted a 4.12 ERA with a 44:23 K:BB across 39.1 frames with Triple-A Durham prior to his promotion. The 25-year-old's spot in the rotation could be in question once Jeffrey Springs (elbow) is ready to return. As of now, Baz is in line to face the Yankees at home next week.
