      Advice: The homer was just Happ’s second of the year. It has undeniably been a down year for the 29-year-old outfielder. His power has cratered as his ISO is just .100 compared to his career .198 ISO. Most of Happ’s utility comes from playing everyday. He’s played 158 games in each of the last two seasons. Last season was his best year as he was able to compile 21 home runs, 86 runs scored, 84 RBI, and 14 stolen bases. He won’t be able to reach those numbers this season, but his $20 million average annual value should still keep him in the lineup everyday.

      Young went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Wednesday's loss to the White Sox.

      Advice: Getting another start in the leadoff spot, Young swiped his 14th bag of the season, tying him for fifth in the majors behind Elly De La Cruz (26), Jose Caballero (17), Brice Turang (16) and Bobby Witt (15). Young only has two successful steals through 12 games in May though, as his issues getting on base consistently are catching up to him -- he's slashing only .167/.295/.222 on the month. The Nationals have been shut out in back-to-back games and sit in the bottom six in runs scored and team OPS on the season, and unless Young heats up at the plate, his time at the top of the order is likely about to end.       Ward went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over St. Louis.

      Advice: Ward jumped on a four-seamer from Nick Robertson in the bottom of the seventh and sent it into the stands in left field for a leadoff home run, giving the outfielder his first long ball this month and his eighth overall on the season.       Jurickson Profar singled and stole a base on Wednesday afternoon as the Padres were shut out by the Rockies.

      Advice: Profar smacked a leadoff single off of Austin Gomber in the fourth inning and swiped second base, but the Padres couldn’t cash him in from there.
