    • Tallies two extra-base hits
Greene went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a triple, an RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 9-7 loss to the Rangers.

Advice: While Greene's batting average is still a bit underwhelming at .239, his .849 OPS is stronger due to eight extra-base knocks through 19 games. In fact, exactly half of the outfielder's hits have gone for extra bases so far. Greene is heating up, and with his ability to leg out doubles or hit the ball over the wall, he should be primed for good numbers the rest of the way. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:56 pm
    • Christian Encarnacion-Strand day-to-day with illness
Christian Encarnacion-Strand is day-to-day due to illness.

Advice: Encarnacion-Strand wasn’t feeling well, which led to him sitting out Wednesday’s series finale against the Mariners. The 24-year-old slugger figures to be ready to return to Cincinnati’s lineup for Friday’s series opener against the Angels. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:10 pm
    • Rare day off Thursday
Arozarena is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Angels.

Advice: Arozarena will get just his second day off this season while he's stuck in a 2-for-23 rut at the plate that has dropped his slash line to .174/.240/.275 for the season. While Arozarena rests, Harold Ramirez will pick up a start in left field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:57 am
    • Control wavers Wednesday
Fried came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Astros, giving up three runs on seven hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out two.

Advice: The southpaw also uncorked a wild pitch and tossed only 52 of his 96 pitches for strikes, continuing a somewhat shaky start to the season. Fried has managed only one quality start in his four trips to the mound, and while his 7.71 ERA and 1.96 WHIP will come down, his 12:9 K:BB through 16.1 innings has been far from dominant. He'll try to get on track in his next outing, which lines up for a home start against the Marlins early next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:25 am

    • Sits out due to illness
Encarnacion-Strand did not play Wednesday due to illness, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports. Spencer Steer replaced him at first base.

Advice: It had earlier been reported that Encarnacion-Strand was merely resting -- his first day off of the season -- but Cincinnati manager David Bell confirmed the illness. Bell didn't provide specifics on the symptoms but indicated Encarnacion-Strand wasn't feeling well in advance of the three-game series in Seattle. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:28 am
    • Offensive catalyst in win
Raleigh went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in a win over the Reds on Wednesday.

Advice: Several Mariners hitters enjoyed solid offensive performances Wednesday, but Raleigh set the pace with his three trips on the basepaths. That included the backstop's co-team-high third homer of the season, which erased an early 1-0 deficit for Seattle in the second inning. Raleigh has now reached safely in five straight games, and a career-high 13.1 percent walk rate has helped him get to a .311 on-base percentage despite an uninspiring .208 average. • Stays aggressive on basepaths
Arozarena went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base Wednesday against the Angels.

Advice: Arozarena hasn't had a good start at the plate, as he's hitting just .174 with two home runs across 75 plate appearances. When he has gotten on base, however, he's taken advantage as he's managed four stolen bases without being caught. Arozarena is also striking out at a fairly typical 25.3 percent clip, so there's not a significant reason to panic about his performance yet. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:34 pm
    • Cranks third home run
Bellinger went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Bellinger is off to a bit of a slow start, with just a .200 batting average, a .667 OPS and three home runs across 18 games. However, he is now riding a modest four-game hitting streak, and perhaps Wednesday's long ball will give him another boost of momentum. Bellinger batted .307 with an .881 OPS and 26 home runs a season ago, so the upside is certainly there. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:15 pm

    • Cal Raleigh homers, plates two to lead Mariners
Cal Raleigh homered and drove in a pair of runs on Wednesday afternoon, powering the Mariners to a 5-1 victory over the Reds in Seattle.

Advice: Raleigh tied the game at one run apiece with a 384-foot (104.0 mph EV) solo shot off of left-hander Andrew Abbott in the home half of the second inning. He also capped off the scoring in the ballgame as he worked a bases-loaded walk in the seventh inning. The hard-hitting backstop finished the day 1-for-2 officially and is now hitting .208/.311/.377 with three long balls and six RBI on the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 4:39 pm
