• Twins activate Royce Lewis (quad) off injured list
Twins activated INF Royce Lewis off the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Lewis is officially back after completing his rehab assignment. The talented 24-year-old homered and went 2-for-2 on Opening Day before leaving with his quad injury that cost him over two months. Lewis has the talent to be a major fantasy contributor, but there are going to be questions on whether he can stay on the field based on his lengthy injury history. Rotoworld 34 minutes ago
  • Back in majors
The Pirates recalled Suwinski from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Suwinski's stint back in the minors lasted less than two weeks and he slashed just .250/.276/.429 with one home run and a 13:1 K:BB over 29 plate appearances with Indianapolis. However, the Pirates have a need in center field with Ji Hwan Bae going on the injured list and Michael Taylor the paternity leave list. Suwinski should draw starts at least while Taylor is away but could be sent back down once Taylor returns. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago

  • Swipes bag in start
Azocar went 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Monday's loss to the Angels.

Advice: Azocar has gotten limited opportunities to play this season, but he made consecutive starts Sunday and Monday with the Padres facing a left-handed starter. He chipped in a double, a run, a walk and a steal over the pair of outings to make his presence felt. However, Azocar was pinch-hit for in the ninth inning Monday and is slashing a meager .234/.290/.266 over 70 plate appearances on the campaign, so he's likely to continue to work mostly as a pinch hitter/runner and defensive replacement. • Pirates place Michael A. Taylor on paternity list
Pirates placed OF Michael A. Taylor on the paternity list.

Advice: Taylor will be away for up to three days while taking care of things much more important baseball. Liover Peguero has been recalled to take Taylor’s place on the roster. Rotoworld 43 minutes ago
  • Pirates recall Suwinski from Triple-A Indianapolis
Pirates recalled OF Jack Suwinski from Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: Suwinski spent a little over a week in Triple-A, but he’s back to take the place of Ji Hwan Bae, with Bae hitting the injured list. Suwinski hit just .174/.268/.297 while with Pittsburgh prior to the demotion in 2024, but showed flashes of brilliance in 2023. Still, outside of those desperate for power in NL-only formats, Suwinski should probably be left on the waiver wire. Rotoworld 45 minutes ago

  • Swipes 13th bag
Rengifo went 1-for-3 with a run and a stolen base in a 2-1 victory versus the Padres on Monday.

Advice: Offense in the contest was scarce, so Rengifo's role in producing the Angels' first run was especially valuable. He singled with one out in the fourth inning and stole second base before eventually crossing the plate on a Willie Calhoun single. Rengifo missed some time in May due to an illness, but he hasn't slowed down since returning, slashing .313/.353/.484 with two homers, six RBI, 10 runs and four stolen bases in 16 contests. The infielder leads the team and is tied for 12th in the majors with 13 thefts on the campaign. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago

  • Report: Marlins to DFA Avisail Garcia
Craig Mish of Sportsgrid reports that the Marlins will designate outfielder Avisail Garcia for assignment.

Advice: That means the Marlins will ended up eating the remaining salary of his 2024 season along with $12 million in 2025 and another $5 million for his buyout in 2026. That’s assuming he goes unclaimed, of course. He isn’t going to be claimed. Garcia has been a massive disappointment since signing his four-year $52 million contract prior to 2022, and he’ll all but assuredly hit free agency after he goes unclaimed. Rotoworld Today, 8:32 am
  • DFA'd by Miami
The Marlins activated Garcia (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday and designated him for assignment, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Garcia is in the third year of a four-year, $53 million contract and the Marlins have elected to eat the nearly $24 million remaining on that deal. Slated to turn 33 next week, Garcia has managed just a .217/.260/.322 line over 153 games during his three seasons with Miami. He will clear waivers and eventually be released, at which point another team will be able to sign Garcia for the prorated veteran minimum. Rotowire.com Today, 8:31 am
