The right-handed was sitting 96.6 mph with his fastball and now has three scoreless performances in a row.     Advice: Criswell is set to make his second start of the season Wednesday, entering the contest with a 4.26 ERA and 1.58 WHIP with four strikeouts over 6.1 innings over two appearances in 2024. The right-hander pitched four innings, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out four batters in his only start of the season so far April 13 versus the Angels.     Advice: Clase was summoned to protect a three-run lead in the final frame and wound up striking out the side in impressive fashion on just 13 pitches (11 strikes). He sat down Jarren Duran, Tyler O’Neill and Wilyer Abreu, all swinging, to preserve the victory.     Advice: Well, this pretty much came out of nowhere, again. Lively twirled his second consecutive gem against Boston’s injury-depleted lineup, allowing just five hits as a seventh-inning solo shot from Wilyer Abreu represented the lone tally against him in this one. He’s given up just three runs on eight hits with a 14/1 K/BB ratio across 11 1/3 innings (two starts) since returning from the injured list.     Paul Sewald (oblique) allowed an unearned run and recorded two outs on Tuesday in his minor league rehab debut for Triple-A Reno.

    Advice: Sewald notched a pair of strikeouts and threw 21 pitches (14 strikes) in his first rehab outing. The 33-year-old veteran stopper figures to rejoin Arizona’s injury-depleted bullpen in the coming days after missing the opening month of the season recovering from a Grade 2 left oblique strain.     Bachman (shoulder) is dealing with mid-back spasms, causing his throwing progression to be put on hold, per MLB.com.

    Advice: Bachman has been at the Angels' training facility in Arizona rehabbing from last October's shoulder cleanup surgery. It was initially expected that the righty hurler would be ready to pitch by the start of spring training, but he's instead been progressing slowly and was placed on the 60-day IL in late March.
