• Cranks third homer
Brennan went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Brennan opened the scoring with a solo shot off Chase Anderson in the second inning, his third homer of the year. Brennan's started to swing the bat well recently -- he's now 6-for-13 with five extra-base hits (including two homers) in his last four games. The left-handed Brennan has gotten the majority of starts in right field this season with Ramon Laureano occupying the short side of the platoon. He's now slashing .250/.310/.453 through 71 plate appearances with 11 runs scored, 10 RBI and two stolen bases. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago

  • Trea Turner has three hits in win
Trea Turner went 3-for-5 with a double in a win over the Reds on Thursday.

Advice: Turner hit the ball well on Thursday, with five batted balls that were at least 96.7 mph. It continues a strong start to the season for the shortstop, who’s slashing .336/.388/.477 on the year with two home runs and six steals. As Bryce Harper continues to heat up, he should rack up far more runs scored as well. Rotoworld Today, 2:14 pm

  • Harper has two hits, homers in win over Reds
Bryce Harper went 2-for-3 with a walk and a two-run homer on Thursday in the Phillies’ win over the Reds.

Advice: The home run was a 384-foot shot off Nick Martinez that left the bat at 101.4 mph. Harper also had a 112 mph single on the day and is now slashing .256/.347/.488 on the year with five home runs and 16 RBI. Expect the batting average to keep rising as Harper remains one of the best hitters for fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Today, 2:12 pm

  • Nico Hoerner picks up three more hits vs. Astros
Nico Hoerner went 3-for-5 against the Astros on Thursday.

Advice: Hoerner singled twice and added a double. The 26-year-old now has his average to .300 to go with a .785 OPS. This makes back-to-back multi-hit games for Hoerner, and he appears to be figuring things out after a slow start on the season. Fantasy managers sure would like to see more running from a player that stole 43 bases last year, as Horner is still stuck on one stolen base in 2024. Rotoworld Today, 2:09 pm

  • Pete Crow-Armstrong hits go-ahead homer vs. Astros
Pete Crow-Armstrong swatted a go-ahead two-run homer to help the Cubs to a 3-1 victory over the Astros on Thursday.

Advice: Not only was the homer a two-run shot that gave the Cubs a 3-1 lead, but it was the first MLB homer of Crow-Armstrong’s career. The 22-year-old was struggling in Triple-A prior to being called up, but there’s a reason why he is considered one of the top outfield prospects in the sport. His power/speed combination at least makes him worth roster consideration in deeper leagues. Rotoworld Today, 2:09 pm
  • Ty France hits first homer of season against TEX
Ty France went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer against the Rangers on Thursday.

Advice: France took Andrew Heaney deep in the first inning with a runner on to give Seattle a 2-0 lead, and also gave France his first homer of the season. The 29-year-old has made some hard contact in the early portion of the season, but his .266/.322/.354 is tough to justify in a fantasy lineup — especially as a first baseman. Rotoworld Today, 1:59 pm

  • Josh Smith homers and doubles in loss to Mariners
Josh Smith homered and doubled in a loss to the Mariners on Thursday.

Advice: Smith picked up one of two homers the Rangers hit off of Luis Castillo, and his was a solo shot that tied the game at 2-2. The left-handed hitting infielder is off to a strong start with the bat to open 2023, as the two extra-base hits has him slashing .292/.393/.417 over 72 at-bats. Rotoworld Today, 1:59 pm

  • Luis Urías hits go-ahead homer as M’s top Rangers
Luis Urías hit a go-ahead two-run homer to help the Mariners to a 4-2 win over the Rangers on Thursday.

Advice: With the score tied at 2-2, Urías swatted a two-run blast off Andrew Heaney to give Seattle a 4-2 lead and ultimately the victory. It’s the second homer of the season for the 26-year-old, and he’s now posting a respectable .803 OPS. Urías should continue to get at-bats against southpaws, but Josh Rojas is going to get much more playing time at third in the strong-side of the platoon. Rotoworld Today, 1:59 pm

  • Emmanuel Rodriguez hurt Wednesday at Double-A
Twins OF prospect Emmanuel Rodriguez was removed from Wednesday’s game for Double-A Wichita with an undisclosed injury.

Advice: It’s a tough break for Rodriguez, who was off to a sizzling-hot start for Double-A Wichita, and was rapidly establishing himself as one of the top prospects in the fantasy landscape. The 21-year-old outfielder, who boasts a .686 OPS with four homers and nine steals through 16 games this season, suffered an apparent injury when he slid head-first into second base on a stolen base attempt. There should be some clarity on his status in the coming days and the hope is that he’s not facing an extended absence. Rotoworld Today, 1:58 pm
