Paredes is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Paredes was hit in the helmet by a pitch in the seventh inning of Sunday's 10-6 loss to the Yankees, but he stayed in the game after being checked out. His absence from the lineup a day later may create some level of concern about his health, but Paredes could just be receiving a maintenance day after he had started in each of the Rays' last nine games. Amed Rosario will replace Paredes at the hot corner Monday, and for now, the expectation is that Paredes will be back in the lineup Tuesday. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:48 pm

    • Runs bases Sunday
LeMahieu (foot) ran the bases Sunday and will take live batting practice again Tuesday, Mark Didtler of the Associated Press reports.

Advice: Running the bases is a significant step in LeMahieu's recovery from a non-displaced fracture of his right foot. The veteran infielder has also been taking batting practice and fielding ground balls, and he could restart a minor-league rehab assignment soon. LeMahieu had begun a rehab stint April 23 but had to be pulled after just one inning due to experiencing soreness in the injured foot. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:27 am

    • Goes back-to-back in first inning
Cronenworth went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Cronenworth got things started for the Padres by going back-to-back with Fernando Tatis off Walker Buehler in the opening inning. He went hitless the rest of the afternoon but continues to be one of the Padres' best bats. He had a 12-game hit streak that came to an end Friday and has been showing increased power early on. His .503 slug percentage is fourth among all first basemen and is a significant personal improvement after averaging a .384 slugging over his last two seasons. For the year, Cronenworth is now slashing .285/.349/.503 with seven homers, 27 RBI, 20 runs and a 14:27 BB:K in 169 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:50 pm
    • Jake Cronenworth leaves the yard in win on Sunday
Jake Cronenworth blasted his seventh home run of the season on Sunday, helping to power the Padres to victory over the visiting Dodgers.

Advice: The 30-year-old infielder went back-to-back with teammate Fernando Tatis Jr. off of Walker Buehler in the opening inning of this one, with Cronenworth’s blast traveling 408 feet (106.5 mph EV). That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the afternoon. For the season, he’s now slashing a healthy .285/.349/.503 to go along with the aforementioned seven long balls and 27 RBI. • DJ LeMahieu (foot) works out before Sunday game
DJ LeMahieu (foot) worked out in the infield prior to Sunday’s game against the Rays.

Advice: LeMahieu has been on the injured list since the beginning of the year with a fracture in his foot, and the infielder was pulled off his rehab assignment with soreness in his foot near the end of April. There’s no timetable for when the 35-year-old will return, but it’s good to see the infielder working out on the field. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:33 am

    • Four hits in comeback win
Guerrero went 4-for-5 with a run scored, three RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 10-8 win over the Twins.

Advice: The first baseman banged out singles in each of his first four plate appearances, with the last one bringing home two runs in the sixth inning to tie the game at 8-8 after the Blue Jays had fallen behind 7-1 in the top of the third. Guerrero has four multi-hit performances in the last five games, a stretch in which he's gone 11-for-21 (.524) with a homer and eight RBI. The surge has boosted his slash line on the season to .272/.360/.391, as he continues to look for his power stroke. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:47 pm
    • Vladdy Jr. has four hits, three RBI, SB vs. Twins
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 4-for-5, drove in three runs and stole a base in a 10-8 win for the Blue Jays on Saturday over the Twins.

Advice: Vladdy Jr. did it all Saturday in the come-from-behind win. The first baseman has swung the bat much more effectively as of late, and his OPS has risen to .751 after hovering around .700 for much of the season. The 25-year-old has his first steal of the season, and it’ll probably be a while before we see the second one. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:20 pm
    • Jake Cronenworth sits against Dodgers on Saturday
Jake Cronenworth is not in the Padres’ starting lineup for Saturday night’s tilt against the Dodgers.

Advice: A night after Cronenworth saw his 12-game hitting streak snapped, he’ll get a breather with left-hander James Paxton toeing the slab for the Dodgers. Luis Arraez will cover for him at first base while Jurickson Profar moves up to the third spot in the Padres’ lineup. Rotoworld Saturday, 2:26 pm
    • Riding pine vs. lefty
Cronenworth is not in Saturday's lineup against the Dodgers.

Advice: Cronenworth will head to the bench with lefty James Paxton on the hill for Los Angeles. Donovan Solano is starting at third base while Luis Arraez starts at first base and Manny Machado gets the nod at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Saturday, 2:12 pm
