    • Stanton hits ninth homer of year vs. Twins
Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-5 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Stanton hit his ninth homer of the season in the third inning when he took Chris Paddack deep for a solo blast, giving the Yankees a 3-1 lead. A true feast-or-famine player at this stage of his career, Stanton is still good for the occasional homer and has plenty of opportunities to drive in runs batting in the middle of a potent lineup, but shouldn’t be viewed as anything more than a desperation play as far as fantasy is concerned. • DJ LeMahieu (foot) set for rehab assignment
DJ LeMahieu (foot) will start a minor league rehab assignment later this week with Double-A Somerset.

Advice: LeMahieu has been on the shelf all season due to a fracture in his right foot and a couple setbacks. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:03 pm

    • Will return to lineup Wednesday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Tuesday that Harper (migraine) will return to the lineup Wednesday against the Mets, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Harper was a late scratch from Tuesday's lineup after he developed a migraine, but his symptoms abated as the game versus the Mets went along and would have been available in a pinch-hitting capacity. He was not used off the bench, as it turned out, but he will be ready to roll for Wednesday's tilt. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:36 pm

    • Thomson: Bryce Harper to return Wednesday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Bryce Harper (migraine) is feeling better and will return on Wednesday.

Advice: Thomson added that Harper’s migraine cleared up during Tuesday afternoon’s contest against the Mets to the point that he was available to pinch-hit. The 31-year-old fantasy superstar should return to Philadelphia’s lineup on Wednesday, barring something unexpected. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:30 pm

    • Scratched from lineup with migraine
Harper was a late scratch from Tuesday's lineup versus the Mets due to a migraine, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Worth noting is that Harper was inadvertently struck in the helmet by a Tomas Nido throw back to the pitcher in Monday's game, although he remained in that contest and it's not clear whether this is related to that. Consider him day-to-day for now. The Phillies will shift Alec Bohm over to first base to cover for Harper, while Whit Merrifield will enter the lineup at third base. • Bryce Harper out Tuesday vs. Mets due to migraine
Bryce Harper has been scratched from the lineup Tuesday due to a migraine.

Advice: Harper was slated to hit third for Tuesday’s game, but instead the two-time MVP will get Tuesday off while he recuperates. Alec Bohm moves over to first base with Whit Merrifield taking over at third. For now, Harper should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:54 am

    • Swats third homer
Merrill went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's loss to Colorado.

Advice: Merrill was the only Padre with multiple hits in the contest, and his seventh-inning solo shot brought the team to within one run, though it turned out to be the final tally of the game. The rookie has notched consecutive multi-hit performances and has multiple hits in four of his past eight contests overall, so he could be back on the rise following an eight-game stretch from late April to early May during which he went 1-for-23 at the plate. Merrill still has a strong .291/.342/.403 slash line along with three homers, 17 RBI, 18 runs and six stolen bases on the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:42 am

    • Will Smith delivers in 10th as Dodgers down Giants
Will Smith delivered a two-run double in the top of the 10th to propel the Dodgers past the Giants 6-4 on Monday.

Advice: It was his second hit of the game. Smith hit .258., 260 and .261 the last three years, but he’s at .309 right now, and he has the exit velocity numbers to somewhat back it up. He’ll probably fade as the foul tips and other catching maladies pile up, but he’s been one of the NL’s best players to date. Rotoworld Monday, 10:42 pm

    • Homers in consecutive games
Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Bogaerts has doubled his homer total for the year from two to four by going deep in each of the last two games. Prior to the power uptick, he endured an 0-for-15 slump over four contests. The veteran infielder is still battling inconsistency with a .212/.264/.318 slash line, 13 RBI, 23 runs scored, two stolen bases and six doubles through 182 plate appearances this season. He's never posted an OPS lower than .659 in a full campaign, and there's plenty of time for Bogaerts to turn things around in 2024. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:29 pm
