      Lively (6-3) took the loss Sunday against Toronto, yielding four earned runs on six hits and three walks in four innings. He struck out four.

      Advice: Lively pitched for the first time in eight days after leaving his most recent start with tightness after 65 pitches. He surrendered a two-run home run to Ernie Clement in the second inning, his first home run allowed since May 26. The four earned runs are a season-worst for the 32-year-old, who had notched wins in each of his previous five starts. Despite Sunday's rough outing, Lively has pitched well for Cleveland this season, logging a 3.02 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP and a 52:18 K:BB across 59.2 innings pitched.     • Dealing with rotator cuff injury
      Yamamoto (triceps) was diagnosed with a right rotator cuff strain Sunday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

      Advice: Yamamoto was lifted from his start Saturday versus the Royals in the third inning with right tricep tightness before being placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday. It is now understood to be a rotator cuff injury, which is certainly a more significant diagnosis. Manager Dave Roberts said that the injury is not "season ending" but it's "going to be some time" before the right-hander will be able to return. In regards to his replacement in the Dodgers' starting rotation, Bobby Miller (shoulder) is expected to return to the major-league roster Wednesday.     • Exits with elbow soreness Sunday
      Blue Jays manager John Schneider said after Sunday's 7-6 win over the Guardians that Garcia was removed from the contest in the ninth inning with right elbow soreness, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports. "We'll see how he is and know more later [Sunday or Monday]."

      Advice: Called upon for the save chance with the Blue Jays holding a 7-4 lead entering the top of the ninth, Garcia lacked his usual command in the relief appearance. After inducing a leadoff popout from Kyle Manzardo, Garcia surrendered a base hit to Daniel Schneemann before serving up a two-run home run to Brayan Rocchio. He then got Bo Naylor to foul out before getting lifted from the game after serving up back-to-back singles to Steven Kwan and Tyler Freeman. Nate Pearson came on with two outs and runners on the corners to put out the fire and enable Garcia to earn his 10th hold of the season, but Garcia's health now becomes the greater concern. If Garcia's elbow issue is serious enough for him to join Jordan Romano (elbow) on the injured list, the Blue Jays could turn to Pearson, Chad Green and Tim Mayza to handle any future save chances that may arise.       Advice: We’ll have more when there’s an update on Garcia’s status. He left the mound with trainers with two men on and two outs in the ninth inning. Nate Pearson got the final out to earn his second save of the year.     • Lively gives up four in loss to Blue Jays Sunday
      Ben Lively allowed four runs in four innings and got the loss against the Blue Jays on Sunday.



      Advice: Lively gave up six hits, walked three and struck out four. He had won his last five starts. Lively had allowed two runs through the first four innings. He was removed after walking Spencer Horwitz and Davis Schneider to begin the fifth inning. Both runners scored on Daulton Varsho’s grand slam off Nick Sandlin. Lively isn’t as good as his 3.02 ERA suggests given his 4.15 xFIP. He’s benefited greatly from an 85 percent left on base percentage and that caught it up with him a little bit on Sunday. He’s still been a really good find off the waiver wire for fantasy managers. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the Blue Jays at home next week.

    • Austin Riley heating up, homers again
      Austin Riley went 2-for-4 with a game-tying two-run home run and two runs scored on Sunday against the Rays.

      Jameson Taillon worked six solid innings on Sunday against the Cardinals allowing just two earned runs. He scattered seven hits, walked two, and struck out three in a loss.

      Advice: The Cardinals made plenty of hard contact off Taillon who kept finding ways to wiggle out of jams and keep runs off the board. He’s put together a solid season despite routinely low strikeout totals by mixing his five pitches and avoiding free passes. He’ll take a 3.08 ERA into his next start against the Mets.       The Dodgers placed Yamamoto (triceps) on the 15-day injured list Sunday.

      Advice: Yamamoto struck out a batter over two scoreless innings before he was lifted from his start in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Royals after he had experienced tightness in his right tricep while warming up prior to the game. Roberts hinted after the game that Yamamoto was likely to land on the IL, and the Dodgers have made the move official prior to Sunday's series finale. According to David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, Roberts suggested that Yamamoto will be sent in for further testing Sunday before an official diagnosis for the injury and a timeline for his return is provided.       Advice: Perez is battling a right knee sprain, but it's said to be relatively minor and he will tough it out Sunday as the designated hitter. The team recalled Austin Nola on Saturday and Nola's presence on the roster affords Perez and the Royals some time to get him right before he slots back in behind the plate.
